Killer album, great tunes and headbanging all around, this one is no exception. I actually think was the album that started to get me to accept harsher vocals in metal, before this I was more into the power/symphonic stuff. If you know someone into metal but not really into harsh/screams/growls yet I think this is a good introduction to them. :)
Maybe the older stuff is more difficult to recreate live sound-tech wise. Also, this song is awesome. The whole Clayman album actually is just awesome all the way through. It's my favorite.
Bjorn and Anders are originals members. Mikeal Stanne was just just a session musician on the first In Flames album, and Jesper did all the drums. Bjorn joined the band as the drummer on the Jester Race Album along with Anders as the formal singer. Both of them also contributed to song writing along with Jesper. The reason the old songs do not sound as good live is because of all the guitar layering on each track. From Reroute to Remain going forward, the songs were written with the intention of playing them live. In short, the older In Flames are rather weak live when played by a five piece band. If In Flames hired a few more people to play with them, then the old songs would sound better live.
He’s really gonna be missed in dark tranquility. His solos and lead work freshened up their sound again for me. DT kinda feels like it could be the end soon
I'm agree, i was not catch by their setlist in the last tour.... the most part of my favorite songs are not in their first records, and something was missing.
Next summer's gonna be awesome. Can't believe you broke the news to Antonio on the record :D
love old in flames, check out their live at sticky fingers as well, masterpiece

The last album with their 'original' sound. Those were the days, huh? Shit, I'm old!
In flames at their peak. I bloody love this album.
My favourite In Flames song of all time!!!
Look up the video of IF in Montréal 1999 to see this lineup live, it's exhilarating.
Same here!
So glad you got to hear this. Fuckin IFWT 🔥❤️🔥🤘
You should do a throwback for Soilwork as well. They have a long discography and are still putting out good albums.
🤘

Hard to go wrong w/ In Flames up to this point. After this, well, that's another story lol.
Chris amott solo, he is the only one doing that horse sound type near the end 😊

I'm a Finn. I'll walk.
I'll do an unpopular statment, but their albums since Reroute to Remain to A Sence Of Purpose are my favourite
Silver lake by Esa Holopainen
I already said it in the past, but i will say it again: you 2 need to start a podcast, just talking about random shit. Trust me, it will be great.
And just as i posted this comment (i was still watching the video), you started talking about hiting Jesus on the head, and i lost my shit laughing...
Emperor with strenght i burn Live Wacken 2006 please :)
I know you don´t agree with that, but for me, this was the last great album they released. It all went downhill from there.
Almost, Reroute was their last decent album. Colony Clayman Whoracle are better though.
