Welcome to "Knowing". Back in 1997, when I got to this part and experienced it, I had to put the game down for two weeks before picking it back up. It was a literal punch to my heart. I couldn't listen to Aerith's Theme for the longest time either b/c it just reminded me of this moment. It is one of the of greatest moments in video game history.

I like how all of these gamers are discovering the original in regards to the new sequel coming out, visiting this masterpiece for the first time

One of my friends did a playthrough with joke names. It was honestly one of the funniest things ever. Cloud was "My Balls" and I'll leave it at that 🤣🤣

The first time I played it I couldn't believe it I had to go back to my last safe point to see if there was a way I could avoid it and I couldn't but in some mods you can actually bring her back kind of

Nope. 100% authentic reaction. I stopped console gaming at the N64 and switched to PC gaming, mostly FPS and RTS games. The only Final Fantasy game I had played until a few months ago was OG FF1 on the NES.
Honestly I have to agree!! I've always been more into FF9 as a kid that I had only started playing FF7 back in 2017!! I didn't like spoilers or to use the internet to have to beat a video game!! When I got to this part I was shocked too!! That was back in 2017!! Some people are just late to the series myself included!!

That and every time she was forced into your party it was always at the really slow sentimental parts, and out of all the characters she was the most useless in my opinion, don’t need a designated healer or mage when everyone can heal and use magic with the proper materia
Also lol, I hate anime, and I hate cutesey things and her,cait sith, and yufi were the most anime/ cutesy characters in the game
