    In this video I'm doing a first test run and shake down of the Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix Ready To Run. I'm fortunate enough to live right next to an amazing forest with countless trails, paths, viewing points, cliffs and and overall incredibly diverse terrain. Today we are taking the VS4-10 out for its maiden voyage, seeing how well this first completed build from Vanquish performs.
    Featuring a lot of components that previous owners are familiar with, the Phoenix RTR comes in a ready-built, very complete state. this latest offering from Vanquish features an entirely new electronics setup carrying the Vanquish brand, among them a 2.4Ghz radio system that features 4 channels, a 200 oz-inch metal gear steering servo, a 3 cell LiPo ready ESC and a 35T brushed motor. You can unlock the full potential of the famous VFD Twin transmission by adding two additional servos to operate the dig and the selectable overdrive. The radio system is fully prepared to deal with anything you can throw at it.
    The straight F10 axles boast some high entrance pinion gears, an easy to build and maintain cradle for the ring and pinion gear, oversized bearings and chromoly axleshafts. 47 degrees of steering angle in the front assures a tight turning radius and the 6.5% overdrive that you find stock can even be elevated to 46% with the optional servo installed. An off-center front pumpkin and centered rear make ensure a realistic look, while also giving the Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix one of the most level, balanced drivetrains on the market.
    In this video I give you a full run down of all the specifications and features of this truck, that in my opinion will set a new benchmark for RTR RC trucks. The Vanquish VS4-10 is very complete and sets the bar just a bit higher, creating some very interesting challenges for the competition to deal with in years to come.

    The transmitter looks to be a rebranded turbo racing p52. From what I've heard, they're pretty good radios. I've had one of the lesser versions, that doesn't have the screen, and it worked great. Found out it's the same as the one horizon puts out with some of their models, and a ton of the mini and micro scale crawlers come with different versions of these too.
    Oh, and the truck doesn't look too bad either. Was surprised to see a hobbywing 1060 in it. But, whatever gets the job done 👍👍

    It’s so solid & planted I can’t help but think it’s the chassis. The quality overall make it a great performer. And the price is also more then fair. I just received mine a few days ago & just got it out of the box literally minutes ago. I’v got a set of bead locks & new tire foams. I also have a Fusion Pro for it. I had been looking at buying the chassis kit but didn’t find it anywhere. Really wanted to buy a full kit but it’s not realistic for me due to a Life! I have custom crawlers but sometimes I had to get mad at myself to get things installed. I had all the parts with too many projects but Life has settled down abit so I’ve been able to get a lot of projects done. So point being it was my opportunity to get a Vanquish Finally! Upgrading before it even hits the dirt. Where do you find the interior I’ve looked on the Vanquish website & didn’t see any interiors.

    • @hemistormrc
      @hemistormrc  Год назад +1

      I'm thinking we will see interior panels and bedsides being available shortly. And hopefully for those wanting to color match even pre painted bedsides!

    • @TheDistantChaos
      @TheDistantChaos Год назад

      I'm hoping bedsides become available for it. I love the cage, but it's just not my personal style. I would prefer with the bedsides on it.

    Great new rtr, cool build 👍 A lot of great features, decent electronics but nothing special (for a few dollars more why not include the HW 1080 esc?). A better value than the Axials, for sure, but the new Pro is certainly a more competent crawler. Tossed up about which one to get? 🤔

    • @hemistormrc
      @hemistormrc  Год назад

      They both cater to a different crowd, the Phoenix is for those who want to have a very capable trail truck that is truly fun out on the trails with friends, and the Pro caters to a crowd that is into comping, those who compete with people who have built so called "cheater rigs", angled skids, flat rails, etc.

    • @jerryvolpini7987
      @jerryvolpini7987 Год назад +1

      @@hemistormrc The Phoenix is a trail truck that will make a decent crawler. The Pro is a comp-style rig that places more emphasis on crawling/comping. Still, the Pro is a long ways from being a true lcg/cheater rig, that transmission is too heavy and complex and not suited to comps (although it can certainly be a competent crawler for comps)..

    • @hemistormrc
