The ONLY RTR on the market I can recommend without fear of regret. Vanquish has hit a homerun and cleared the bases, all other RTR's can head to the dugout !
Nope, I’m going trx4 all day, not to mention the regular sport is $110 cheaper and the ‘79 Bronco is only $20 more with lockable diffs and 2 speed transmission straight out of the box
Since I have both Trucks, what I really need to do is finish my test course and crawlzone in the backyard this spring and get to work. I suspect the Vanquish will still be my 1st choice, nut I'm not counting out the TRX-4. Really won't be an apples to apples comparison as I have, in the Bronco already upgraded my Axles, skid plate, and links to 7075 Aluminum, and will be installing a HW AXE FOC R2 2800kv and a REEFS 444 Servo.
This is absolutely the best RTR Crawler on the market, and it's not even close. The VFD platform is amazing from the ground up and provides amazing value in kit form. For $80 over the kit price you get quality electronics in the form of a rebranded Hobbywing 1060 & decent motor, a good enough RTR servo, and what is easily the best RTR transmitter ever packed into a box and it's not even close. For anyone buying it that's interested in extra functions from the VFD Twin, upgrading the steering servo and moving the steering servo to the dig function is a fantastic plan of attack.
Pretty sure some hobby shops have it. Iirc was around 540£ tho, almost 200$ more what it costs in states. more or less what it would cost to import and pay duty.
Yaaaasss! Ordered one from you guys last Friday, and it's "Out for Delivery!" I can hardly wait! I ordered it because of RC Review's video but forgot to use his affiliate link... Any way you guys can still give him credit for it? He's my RC consultant lol
One of my favourite things about it is the Radio system, it's actually really nice for an RTR and quite a bit better than the other RTR options right from the factory. Really cool to see Vanquish make an RTR though, I've always wanted a Kit but haven't had the funds to import one down to Africa. Still can't afford this but it's good to see more accessible options for the general hobbyist and hopefully it leads to a large amount of growth in the brand. Now to see if Vanquish comes out with a Mini Crawler too 👀
Nice Run Brett but Portals??... If this RTR Phoenix had the Portal's then I would've been doing an Unboxing and Test Run 😁👉 TRX4's High Trail ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing =Having Fun Laughing Playing and RCing 👍😎👍 AOAH =Association of Addicted Hobbiest 🙏 SSPH=Stay Safe and Play Healthy My Friend 🏁💯🏁
The red looks cheap with sunlight penetration but just wow for the rest of the truck system. I would coat the interior with black and maybe some light window tint . Nice review .
The RTR has the rear light buckets in the extra parts fyi. Tons of extras in the box. Foams are too narrow, for tires. Just got it two days ago, it's damn good haha.
Ordered both red and grey from you guys. Can't wait to run it! What is the best battery option for a good performance/run time ratio with that RTR? Thanks.
We used this 3S in our truck: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-3s-90c-sigraphene-hv-lipo-battery-w-xt60-connector-11.4v-1800mah-ptk-5572/p975514 I imagine run time is around 1.5 hours, that's my guess anyways. You could get a pack with more mAh, but it'll start weighing down the back of the truck. For optimal performance and climbing, keep it lightweight, which is why we used this pack. -Brett
Check out that Hobbywing 1060. Talk about El Cheapo. $20 ESC. Better than nothing I suppose. I'm not a huge fan of RTRs so, I'm glad they still make a kit version. Decent nonetheless. -Matt
I’m ordering one tomorrow i started to go with the traxxas high lift ford but at the end of the day it’s the same truck with a different body I have had probably 10 Trx4 I want something different and this is it and it’s cheeper so for the price difference I can order me a set of wheels for it
Yes, the ESC has drag brake enabled and I believe it's programmable, so you can adjust for more or less drag brake. If i'm not mistaken, the ESC is a rebadged Hobbywing 1080 brushed ESC, which has a lot of features programmable: www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywing-quicrun-waterproof-1080-brushed-crawling-esc-23s-hwa30112750/p564169 -Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies Thank you very much ... I put the same ESC in my Axial Capra UTB18 to eleminated the noise and to have more voltage for the planned 4WS - everything works perfect BUT the drag brake does not work perfect in the strongest programmable position - the car is moving - not fast but moving - maybe the original motor is not strong enough - I do not know ... 🤔
what is the best kit crawler and is it cheaper than just getting a comprable rtr? My budget is either super cheap like 150-200 for a super small scale or I can go up to around 500-600 for a scale close to the trx4 and with a ton of features.
Hi, I’m just getting started and wanted to know whereabouts I can learn how to upgrade my motor without burning up something.. trying to upgrade my team associated rat trophy.
That's going to be tricky. The Rat Trophy already comes with a 2S/3S LiPo Brushless System and 3300kV motor, which is the fastest motor you can use with that ESC while on 3S LiPo. If you use a less powerful 2S LiPo, then the ESC can handle a 3900kV motor, but with a less powerful battery, will it actually be faster? I'm afraid in order to use a faster motor, you're going to need a more powerful ESC too. Maybe a Castle Creations system, or maybe Hobbywing? -Brett
When the front tires turn 33% faster than the rear, the front end controls the truck while dragging the rear tires slightly. This allows the truck to turn tighter and sharper, but can also help the truck climb easier while adding stability when descending. It doesn't pull the front end down, if anything, it pulls the rear end down slightly as it spins slower than the front. Hope that helps explain it. -Brett

@@666impreza666 Close, I own A TRX-4 2021 Bronco and for design and function the Vanquish is on another Plateau
@@reidisaacson9623 I'll give up lockable diffs for selectable overdrive and Dig.

Honestly, this is probably the best RTR on the market! Can’t wait to get one!
Not sure how you can say it's the best RTR on the market and you don't have one🤔
Great review! With the features and the Vanquish quality, it is the best RTR available now!

I need to Buy this Kit & The SCX10 Pro 💪🏼🔥🔥

@@Mckhus I priced one direct from Vanquish to Australia, around $1000 in AUD inc postage which is around 573 pounds. Looks the goods though

Make a video of how to install servos for using optional features of the gearbox
Only thing i think vanquish should improve is giving you slots for micro servos not the big ones for transmission to save some mass.
I believe Harley Designs has a file on his website to print a micro servo mount for this truck.
That beard looks sick dude ✊
They need to do a 8 scale or even 5 , and they will conquer the field

This is brutal. Might as well title the video "goodbye 500 bones".
Dig the beard
Hey can you. Show us how to set up the other servos cause I tried and it a pain to do it
Try that rock when it’s warmer out.
Is it better than the ecto from enduro
