Yes it’s really a good song and the music video is amazing. Very profound, it tells a story and it’s just good rugged American rock and roll at its best. Classic and rockin! Times have changed too much for masterpieces like this to be made again. Due to what passes for art and music these days I’m not surprised this is the case.

I can't thank Rockstar Games enough for introducing me to this song and 80's music in general, when i first heard this song while playing GTA Vice City i literally had goosebumps and still do every time i listen to it, this is one of my top favorite songs of all time.

I had love to give and hopes and dreams to realize and it all seemed there, very close, within reach....I just had to fly above it...I closed my eyes and flew...I dreamed...what fabulous times, what a fantastic music and age....

First time I heard this song on the radio back in 1985 and I couldn't rest until I recorded it. Then listened to it, stopped the casette player line after line so I can put down the lyrics. (Well...it was the 80s... No internet where you can check the lyrics of songs, huh, imagine that.) And my inner voice still starts to sing it whenever it comes on. So glad I grew up in the 80s.

There is something rather appealing with 80s music. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I've always had a soft spot for it.
Music from The British Invasion until the end of the 90's was a once in a generation experience.
Lots of different genre's producing classic after classic. So fortunate to have lived it all and being able to go back in time and listen like it's 1964, 1974, 1984 or '94. Such a treat that unless you lived it isn't the same.

The 80s were my entire preteen and teenaged years, being born in 1970. I got to experience the full decade. We knew it was special even back then, but you don’t realize how much you’ll miss something until it’s gone... On another note, the lead singer is quite handsome.
I think the guys of the 80s were hot. Girls, well, we just had really big bangs and a lot of makeup. I was a real fashion victim the entire decade.

I am now 49, and I can now tell you that the music of your childhood and teenage years will always take you back to the happy times of your youth. Now that I am almost 50, I worry about things that I had never even thought about when I graduated High School. I have a child who is now 26 years old, and I worry about his future alot. I didn’t fully appreciate this when it was on the radio. Going back and forth between Wichita and Kansas City the summer that year was smothering. Nowadays I binge on it. It’s one of a handful of songs that actually seem to transport me back to the 80’s. I’m 62 yo and out of all that time, just one decade defines me. Boomers reliving the 80’s are like ghosts haunting their own past. There’s just something about the 80’s that never releases you. Like that scene in “TITANIC” where the old woman leaves this world and Jack and all the other passengers are on the grand staircase waiting for her. That’s us, boomers.🤚✝️🇺🇸
The 80's were my teen yrs. I never fully appreciated how good I had it back then and especially how good the music was. (And still is). I feel sorry for my daughter who will never get to have this kind of music in her lifetime. The 60's had Woodstock, the 80's had great music . Everytime I hear an 80's song I go I remember when..............There was a song/band for every experience or occasion. They sang exactly how you felt and what you were going through. You could just relate to the songs. Just brilliant storytelling and songwriting. There will never be another 80's again. But at least we can still enjoy the music.

If I was selecting the best song of all time, I would first of all take it from some Megastar like Madonna, U2, Queen... or some other equally ground breaking artist/band, maybe Toto. Hard to say. There are so many and there are so many songs.

Vice City brought me here. Wasn’t born until 95 but I’m blessed enough to have grown up with the Vice City Soundtrack. I love the 80s. Wish I had witnessed them. What would I give just to drive down ocean drive top down, shades on, wind in my hair and gold shining in the sun. That’s that one desire no money can buy.

The best thing about being a kid in the 80's is that every awesome 80's song conjures up myriads of memories. Good times, sad times, tough times, fun times, times with family and friends, and times alone, whether I want to be or not. Such a rich memory of full life captured in so many fantastic songs. I love them all.
We eighties kids are so lucky. We had awesome music, the best TV shows and cartoons. We had bikes and real friends who we would spend our time with friends all day

This song reminds me if a girl from high school whom I thought was the most beautiful girl in the world . We went all through high school , ger not knowing how I felt about her . All I knew was that she wasn't allowed to date . So I respected what I did not understand . Our last year of high school ....'85/'86 ....this song was released as we started our senior year . We had a psychology class together. The very first day she said something to me that I didn't question . Nor did I fully understand . But .....I held on to what she said fir 38 years . Through two failed marriages . Everything I heard this song , I thought of her . Fate allowed her and I to reconnect back in 2020 . Im 2021 I told her that she was the one I really wanted to know throughout high school . And she responded that she had always liked me and thought I knew that . I had no idea that she would even remember me from that long ago . On 12/23/23 , we were engaged . We will be married in a few months . Every time I here this song , I will always think of my One True Love .
