Depends for me, I line smaller obstacles becsue I can get really creative instead of launching myself down the 15 set hoping I land
I love this park the ground feels so nice but it’s in a sketchy area, out of town skaters often get robbed if they stay too long after dark
this skatepark is better than most skateparks I've ever seen

I couldn’t relate to having to wear clothes like that. It’s only like 50 degrees where I live so all I need in winter is a sweatshirt.

This is actually one of the best in NJ tbh for street, then comes jersey city and then long branch are good options you should do a vid on
Hey John, or anyone in the chat who lives somewhere like new york or new jersey, do your trucks freeze when you skate in that type of cold? mine do and I find it really hard to skate with frozen tight trucks.
@Zewpz yea I reeeeaaally wish I could skate without my stupid trucks freezing but it is what it is and I’m just gonna wait till spring to take place in the world lol
I live in canada, sometimes i skate when the temperature is below 0 celsius. What do you mean your trucks freeze? Like it’s harder to carve?
@@PhilFoal yea like you can’t carve or turn at all cause I have Indys and those can carve a lot but they freeze cause it’s sooooo cold
My local park in Concord, NH is built for roller blades. It’s very rare that anyone who rides anything but a skateboard shows up. We make DIY stuff for ourselves, but the city makes us tear them down when they notice them. Tried working with the city, over a decade, for a new park. No use, and we are stuck with some pre-fab booty ramps.. but most of us are pretty advanced and have to work with what we got.
That’s the best mask ever.

i think when they talk about it being a sketchy it’s probably at night or when it’s busy not when you’re there before the world is awake yet haha
The obstacles at 1:40 which look "pretty fun" are actually good for aesthetically pleasing tricks as long as the skater is good at abstract thinking and the filmer has a good eye for angles.
Example: a frontside 5-0 done in Laurence Keefe's part in the Evisen video.

You’d love Kona Skate park here in Jacksonville Florida. Oldest privately owned skatepark that’s still up AND it is the park that had the FIRST EVER drop in back in 1977...on a penny board!
Looks like a pretty fun spot. I definitely don’t understand some of the obstacles either. I always question what people were thinking when building certain parks.

I think most around here know it as Elizabeth skatepark? That’s what me and my buds always called it. It does get sketchy in the summer though, those comments are not an exaggeration... lol. But it’s a really nice little park with perfect ledges and some weird stuff to mess around on too

That park looks like a dream park! I like my local park don't get me wrong but it has 2 stair sets, a 7 and a 10 stair. It is go big or go home. Those smaller sets are hard to find in my area.
Dang that looks like a dope park to me. I'm also a beginner skater but everything looked super mellow there. Perfect for progressing!
It really doesn't look that cold. The sun is out, that's more than we get in Michigan most of the winter

I’ve been to this park and the sketchy part is true if you go anytime past 2:30 there are ppl there drinking and smoking near the curve ledge. Also it is a good park and very nice (not unskateable) it’s just hard to get your head around what to do and how to skate it cuz of how it’s set up I ended up leaving and going to a park 3 minutes away that was WAY better.
If you're ever in southern PA check out Reid Menzer Memorial Skatepark.
John if you need content you can check out and do a video of historical skate spots, shops and things that people from around the world can see and get a great narration of. Thanks for the video the park looks dope!!
