I’m convinced John has figured out the perfect balance of action and commentary for videos
I was just thinking about that, thought about how he could overlap his commentary audio on the skating, but stopped myself when I realized it doesn't need to be that dense.
The back and forth from skating to commentary just works. It does gives a pretty slow rhythm to the video but I think that's just why John's videos are nice to watch, they feel like a break, a moment to breathe, relax, and enjoy a bit of skating with him.

it is 30 minutes from my house but there is also a skate park 5 minutes from my house.

1.7mil is overpriced for that!
You should also check out the Edwards, Breckinridge, or Gunnison parks while you are in the mountains. The Arvada skatepark is a must see though.
Yeah the Arvada park is awesome. But have you ever skated the old Arvada park?lol? I dont think the old one is there anymore but i skated it frequently in my teens. To say it was night and day different between old and new is putting it very mildly. it was more like nuclear winter, tropical paradise comparison. But it was something, which unfortunately is more than some towns have just reading threw the comments, which really sucks. Especially hearing some people say they had a shanty one but the city took it down and never put anything else up. Why take it away especially if your not going to put anything up after? At least it was something.

Ever been to the Montrose park? It's a ton of transition and vert. Almost no street

Just came across some of your vids and happy to see another who knows how hard it is to find a community in Columbia South Carolina. I don’t know if it has grown since I’ve been gone, but the only ok park I remember was in the Plex, but it cost like $12 for every 2 hours. There was one on the military base, but the cement was horrid and it gave me a scar on my elbow.

I live in MA in the suburbs where the nearest skatepark is 45 minutes away (im 15 so cant drive) and i have no freinds that skate. However ive built a quarter pipe and ive bought a rail so its super fun to just skate in my driveway

I worked in vail as a ski lift operator and kept hearing about this skatepark and finally after 5 months the snow melted enough to show it completely my mine was blown! Also if you pizza check out blue moose in lions head village!

Been in Colorado for 20 years. In the past, they used to have a wooden park they would set-up in summer on the parking structure. Mondo quarter pipe, little half bowl. Some low transition stuff. Vail has money for days, so this is NBD.

WHAT THE HECK! I live lived in Colorado my whole life and lived a number of years 20 minutes from vail and snowboard on that mountain all the time and parked in that garage but I had no idea they had a skatepark in that parking garage. Mind Blown right now.

The skatepark used to be on the upper level during summer time. It was all wooden ramps they would set up every year. I moved out of vail while they were building this park and never got to ride it but it looks wicked fun
a lot of people won’t notice but the way you matched the music up to where whenever you landed the drums in the song hit at the exact same time. love that

definitely check out the edwards skatepark. That was my main skatepark growing up. Gypsum skatepark is pretty cool too in my opinion and i'd love to see it in one of your videos. If you head to the denver area be sure to check out the denver skatepark and the Arvada Skatepark.

i live in colorado and ive actually been to that skatepark (but the best skatepark in CO is Memorial park and its in Colorado Springs)
Colorado is my favorite state and this park looks like a lot of fun and a place where you can just focus on your skateboarding.

I've lived in CO for over Ten year ,and one of the reasons I moved there was to be able to Skate/Snowboard. There are some of the best skateparks in the country there & a lot of them. You have good steeze & I like the way you skate. BTW, It used to be a wooden Prefab park on top of one of those parking structures,but I guess those didn't hold up to the weather well enough. Concrete is the Only way to go,esp in CO. You should go over the Pass & check out the Barn @ Copper Mtn. It is fun , I used to go there when the winters would get really harsh & I was wanting to skate instead of snowboard. The Mini there is so so fun.

The Vail park used to be on the top of the parking garage, it was poorly built out of skatelite. Then they moved it to the bottom to open up more parking spaces and less moving the features from summer to winter along with the skatelite getting destroyed
