    hey i've been doing this trick ever since i had my numark dual cd player. although of course there wasn't a way to change pitch that much, but the concept was the same. i also used loops with two beats in other instances. the examples in this video can also be tested out using two beat loops. see which way sounds better on which tracks

    I got some ideas based ok the concept. Still learning all the serato and controller can do. Haven't gotten into the manual loops yet, so thanks mate.

    I think that just by having a loop and changing the bpm you can have the same effect, but then again, it squashes the sound, so this one definitely is a worthy trick

      Crossfader is there something I have to do to activate using the jog wheels to decrease or increase the loop? It doesn’t want to do it on my SR

      In this video we use the manual out adjust button for loops. After a loop has been set you can press the out adjust loop button then move the jog wheel to make the loop tighter. This in turn makes the Bpm change without moving the tempo adjust."

    Hey Can that Manual tightening of a loop can be done on DDJ SB3?? Because it doesn't have dedicated buttons for Manual looping.... But it has Auto Loop and Loop ×÷ buttons.... So can it be remapped??? Because I want that James Hype style Loop Transition....😉😉 The way he Tightens the loop is just awesome 😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

    Great video guys !!!! I’m using the Pioneer DDJ RB. Is there a option where I can not make cue points by accidentally pressing a open hot cue button? Hopefully I’m saying it right ? Sometimes I’m pressing a hot cue button and I accidentally push the wrong one making another hot cue point. Any way to turn that feature off like in Serato. Thx so much guys

    • @Crossfader
      @Crossfader  6 лет назад +1

      Hey, yeah it makes sense what you’re saying but I’m afraid I’m not aware of such a feature. I get the pads are quite close together, it’s easy to accidentally push one then have to delete it again.

    • @jasonhaskin4579
      @jasonhaskin4579 6 лет назад

      No problem! Thx guys

      Go into preferences and deactive hot cues. With hot cues deactivated you can still add new cues using the mouse but not with the performance pad. I used this method but I've reverted back to default I try to use up all the empty cue buttons now when prepping tracks

    • @Crossfader

    Can i do this trick whit the ddj-rb?

    • @Crossfader
      @Crossfader  6 лет назад +1

      Unfortunately the DDJ rb doesn’t have manual loop adjust options. There may be a keyboard shortcut you can use or set up instead but it’s definitely easier to achieve on the controllers above the rb like the RR etc.

      Crossfader How do I configure the jog??? And for not modificater the picht or BPM of the track??

    • @Crossfader
      @Crossfader  6 лет назад

      I’m not too sure I know what you mean? What would you like to do with the jog wheel? Are you using cdjs or a controller?

    • @DjMarkvix
      @DjMarkvix 6 лет назад

      Crossfader
      By moving the jog down from 125 bpm to 100 bpm but the % 0,0 not change???? I use controller

    • @Crossfader
      @Crossfader  6 лет назад +1

      In this video we use the manual out adjust button for loops. After a loop has been set you can press the out adjust loop button then move the jog wheel to make the loop tighter. This in turn makes the Bpm change without moving the tempo adjust.

    • @Crossfader
      @Crossfader  6 лет назад +1

      Sorry you feel that way. This video is just to spark ideas for other DJs. The main point we wanted to get across is the Bpm read out changes as you edit a loop. Hopefully you can take the idea and find better ways to use in your sets! 👌🏼
