hello friend,am using numark ns6 with serato dj but my problem is my range bottons not working and i would like to change the range from 8% to 16% is there any possible way i can change without using my ns6 hawrdware? please help asap.
This was seriously the best explainer video on this board. I just got the board recently. I knew a lot about it by just messing around but I learned quite a bit by watching this video. Thanks so much for all the information and the fun!
Really enjoyed this review. Good to hear a balanced review that explained each point clearly and without some kind of "agenda" to either tear down or over-elevate what was being reviewed. Keen to dip my toes now into the world of DJing!
The best tutorial videos ..I've seen a lot of channels posting videos for beginners but this by far is the most comprehensive channel..I own a sb2 and every video is a learning experience
Crossfader Thank you for a very good review, can i connect my Samsung Tab A Tablet on this Controller with a laptop because I have some very good Sound System Effects from Google Play Store on my tablet which is perfect for Reggae, thanks
You are amazing at teaching and showing people how to use the tools. We currently have a pioneer ddj-ssx but we bought it used. Really enjoyed your skills and video teaching!!
thank you for teaching me know how to use this one, bro. I bought & watched many video but...still don't know how to use. After watching ur, finally I can know all the basic knowledge of this already
I am going to start my first dj play by using the ddj-sb3 console !!! Now I am motivated by your demo tutorial and I learned many techniques by using this console. Thank you so much and wish me luck my future dj plays guys !!!! I am blessed that i leaned lot of grooves !!!
Thanks so much for this vid! I learnt so much. Would definitely recommend the SB3 to everyone. I've just started out and your video is really helpful as I am learning by myself, basically went in the store, blindly bought it... the guy thought I knew what I was doing and didn't explain much. Anyway, thanks again and would defs recommend the SB3 to beginners
Hey man, big fan of your stuff! I had a music store employee recommend your channel, and I'm so glad they did! Just ordered one of these units and your teaching style is fantastic. Be well my friend! And will purchase your Serato course soon :)
+Crossfader I have a few questions.can I use an analog mixer for DVS?or does it have to be a digital mixer? Also if I use DVS,and everything is in the laptop.if unhook the turntables, and then hookup this controller will it be the same music?or will I have to put all new music for the controller? One more thing, does the laptop have to be an apple to use DVS and controller's or can it be any computer?
DVS is an expansion for different softwares. For example to use DVS you will need a DVS enabled mixer/soundcard/controller. These products differ depending on which software you decide to use. The analog mixer would have to go through a DVS soundcard making it a digital source unless you know of a plug and play analog mixer. Did you have a mixer already in mind? A controller would go into your laptop separate to the DVS soundcard/mixer. DVS mode uses something called absolute or relative mode whereas controllers use internal mode. You would literally press a button in the software to switch control over from the DVS and turntables and your controller. No you don’t need an Apple MacBook to use DVS or Dj with. Windows laptops are supported also.
Great tutorial thanks! I just picked up this board to get into the world of DJing and am excited to dive in now that I know what it could do. Appreciate the professional opinion at the end for sure!
Just don't understand why people have a problem with a noob like me being able to scratch with no self training. It's the audience that counts. People on the dance floor are not going to know the difference - they are only going to enjoy my creative mix! I get to spend more of my time to creating context/content rather than laborious effort in one technique. This attitude wrecks of narcissism and just plain old selfishness! How dare you be able to do what i do without having spent years of trial and error! LOL.....Freaking Amazing!
Think of scratching as playing an instrument. Surely you can wow your friends with presets from a keyboard or beat machine, but that's not you... You've gotta do it yourself as djing is an art. Part of the art is mixing and mashing and effects, but basic scratching and beat matching is the 1st skill you should master. You should want to learn this honestly.
Great review.. Really keen on getting this kit. Used to be a vinyl junkie and been outta the game for a long time. This looks like it'll be a breeze to use. 👍
Thanks for the review Jamie. I bought this to teach kids and I think it'll be a great entry point for them versus my DJ808. I'm kind of annoyed at Serato that I cannot use my existing DJ Pro license from my Roland DJ808 on this. Serato should allow you to add devices into their Pro license rather than deploying the license through the hardware manufacturer. 249 pounds in the UK but 649 in New Zealand, it's getting out of reach already for parents who want support their kids down under. Cheers
Works OUTSTANDING with Virtual DJ. Plug and played!..Did not have to map a thing. Virtual DJ is much better software with several skins to choose from! Awesome controller for entry level. Im glad i started with this one.
@@sjsiemka lmao you wouldn't believe the things that just so happen to fall off the truck when going over bumps....but yes I actually have it in front of me but to ship to you probably would be pricey
Hi, I have recently purchased the SB3 DJ controller but I am having trouble getting to to link to my laptop. I use Djay to play my music but the Controller doesn’t work with the music. Please can you help?
Need opinions on this one, which is better for starting off DDJ SB3 or DDJ S1?? My friend is selling his s1’s but I dunno whether to get those or just get a brand SB3
theres different styles of djing you should look into them. people with launchpads using ableton are very creative but they generally have experience. but you maybe can buy loops create your style with that
Thanks for this awesome review/tutorial. I have 2 questions, #1 Can I use Serato DJ Pro for this DDJ SB3? #2 Is DDJ SB3 able to do video mixing, if so, do you have a tutorial for video mixing? Thanks again.
I don't understand the controversy over the Pad Scratch function because since this is an entry-level controller, it's a good introduction to scratching. Personally, I wish my DDJ-SB2 had that function.
Is it the sampler that people use to get those classic scratch sounds that they scratch with? Or do they do it another way? I've always wondered where they get those classic echoy scratch sounds from. Any tips would be appreciated.
I have RIP songs and mp3 files on a external hard drive. When I'm using the SB3 with serato lite I can only play the mp3 songs not the other one. Why is that?✌

Cool controller for beginners. Anyone mad at the controller for having scratch pads is just being ridiculous. LOL!

I remember similar outrage when equipment started employing auto bpm matching.

With Serato DJ Pro you can.

DDJ-SB3 or DDJ-400 ?

Is there a way you can add beats like a launchpad like the snare and hi hat

Does this support standard seat or only the lite version?
Why isn't jog wheel centered and wobbles while spinning it? Is it defect of this particular unit or is this Pioneer's trade mark?

Can you activate pitch play and flip modes on this controller?
Is it possible to only use headphones and not have to set up the speakers?
