    My question is did it start to pull walls down. Appeared to not have enough liner on the one side.

      No sir I had probably about three or 4 inches of overlap all the way around. The pool liner was only two years old. What it happened was my wife decided to put one of the German Shepherd puppies in the pool. L O L.

    Can i install the new cover on top of the older one?

      I think you could. You would need to make sure that you have enough clips to clip it to the top of the metal. The clips are really for a certain size of width of the metal wall and one pool liner. Just make sure it would fit. I have heard of some people putting in carpet padding or carpet under their pool liner to help with any rough spots or holes. I do not know how well that would work. I also wonder if it would void your warranty with your pool liner.

      @@Mayhemcountryliving thank you for the reply. I changed the liner a year ago and very week there’s a new hole on the side. That’s why I get q new one now. And I don’t have warranty. I was thinking to see if I can install on top, they guy how sold to me told no I don’t

      @@liliannelandave8906 I was just thinking perhaps the reason it’s not recommended is that whatever caused the puncture may still be behind the old liner. That is to say perhaps they wanted to investigate and see what caused the hole.

    Over lapping liners are easy to install. But tgey are much thinner and have less protection to damage.

    It would be easier if you used a Shop-Vac before adding in the future in the return

      I've tried that method twice, problem I had is the vac would suck my liner in the hose, to dang risky, I tried, I guess my vac is just to powerful..good thing it didn't tare it.

    Those plastic clips are known as coping strips. You only need them when you have an overlap liner.

    • @Mayhemcountryliving
      @Mayhemcountryliving  Год назад +1

      That would be the cover of your above ground pool the aluminum edge that goes all the way around and makes it look more attractive and provide some rigidity

    It's a good thing you bought the liner when you did. I now, in 2024 have to replace my liner and because of "Bidenomics" I am now looking at 7-800 dollars just for a liner. FJB!

      @audioeeze8396 she was really a big help. She showed me how to straighten out all the wrinkles. We just got through doing it again this year we drain the pool cleaned it, etc. etc. and I was actually able to do it by myself one thing I will say that I’ve learned when you’re putting a new liner in, let it sit in the sun and warm up for an hour or two after you drop it and that makes it a lot more pliable and it lets the wrinkles come out a lot easier as you’re feeling. Thank you and thank you for your comments.
