Great job! Oddly enough, we are going to have our liner replaced in a couple weeks and our pool is also an Esther Willams 15x30 above ground and looks just like this one. The original owners had it installed back in 1990! It is built like a tank and is still in great shape.
Any tips to get the oval liner lined up? I’ve spend a week trying to get mine straight and it’s just not working out. Are there any methods that work besides eyeballing it?
Im about to install the liner for my EW pool i bought used. Im hearing they have a special beaded liner just for them is this true or can a standard beaded be used?
Most Esther Williams pools are beaded liners if it is a beaded liner. You do not need to disassemble anything. There is a bead track under the top rails of the pool and the liner. If it is an overlap liner with no bead receiver than yes into Has to be disassembled
How do you identify the manufacturer? I have a 15 x 30 solid wall sides not the slats beaded liner that needs replacing the previous owner put in a liner that is falling out of the bead in one spot about eight inches long and the floor of the pool has many wrinkles . Maybe the wrinkles are because the liner is too big ?
Most above ground pools have markings etched into the top caps, there are typically 2 types of beads on above ground pools most pools are a standard bead or unibead but there are some like the Esther Williams and Johnny wesimuller pools that are specific beads. Wrinkles are typically from a bad installation or loose liner, when a new liner is put in the wrinkles need to be worked out before any water is added we do this with a liner vac or a shop vac
Yeah you guys did a Beastie job really good. My friend put the liner in for the 15 by 24 ft pool he's not a pool expert even though he knows a lot. There are a few wrinkles but hey at the end of the day of the hell that I've been through to get my pool working I'm happy that it works but again great job Esther Williams is one of the best pools ever made

What do the slats sit into around the pool? Do you interlock them and stick them down into a channel?
There is a track on the bottom as well as on the top of the pool that the slats sit into the interlock and sit in into the tracking

Have to use an Esther William bead they are specific to those pools. Standard bead will not work will just pop out of the track.
You can replace the liner on Esther Williams leaving the top rails on? I’m about to do one but everything I’ve read you have to take top rails off

How did you get the right liner? How did you measure it?
If you measure the wall height from track to track and the length and width of the pool that will give you the proper size liner needed.
