    Appreciate the details of why you do things in a certain sequence. I have my pool liner to place with no pool service for assistance here on Prince Edward Island, Eastern Canada. I have bookmarked your vid to refer to as I slowly move forward. Thank you so much, Meg, Maritime provinces, Eastern Canada

    What kind of liner is this? Brand? Any advice on a pool that is egg shaped? Our floor seam is pulled away on north and sound ends.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  2 года назад +1

      Western Pacific makes them and I believe GLI has similar, unfortunately with specialty shape like egg you would have to have someone come out and measure then have one made like they do with ingrounds unless you have the dimensions for your liner!

    Curious on what type of liner did you use. You initially just flipped the liner over the sides and it stayed. Nice video!

      It's a beaded liner and then I used wall hooks to hold it and pulled vaccuum on the wall! Thank you for watching!😊

      Also when you used the dry vac was there any danger that it would suck the liner into the hold and clog it?

    Hello. Thank you for posting your video. What was the life of your liner before replacing it? When did you know it was time for a replacement? I have a 30' x 52" Century Pool w/ Dough Boy Liner. I have noticed yellow spots right around the outer edges right after a good rain. After shocking my pool along with a couple of dry sunny days, those spots tend to fade, but not completely. Could I have water trapped under the liner causing algae build up?

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Год назад +2

      All liners are different fir example mil thickness factory they were made in, quality of seems, etc also the chemicals used in pools if people over chlorinate or shock too much can effect the condition of liner, I had mine for about 10 years and replaced it because my youngest brought a ski pole in the pool, got on a tube and was pushing himself around poking holes! Lol but I've seen 20 plus year old liners and 2 year old liners it just depends on how they are taking care of! As for the spots you see, yes it sounds like you have water trapped or water getting underneath and starting to grow algae! Hope this helps and thanks for watching!!😊👍

      @@WhitehouseFarmVet Thank you for the response! I live in South Georgia. Although the pollen here has been pretty bad lately, we decided to open our pool a little early this year. I'll address the issues with the spots as they come and if it continues, I'll look into replacing the liner. I'm a new subscriber and I appreciate all of the great content and helpful tips. The Wanda Whale video was helpful as well. I have one of those in my Amazon cart!

    One more thing to add if you should happen to replace your pool. Then you could possibly do wall foam with that one as well.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  2 года назад +1

      Yeah wall foam would be good, I've installed it on many pools, definitely a good idea for older pools like mine that are starting to get the rust spots! Thanks for watching have a great summer!

      Unfortunately last year we had to get rid of our pool because of it being 20 years old and it was rusty.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Год назад +1

      That stinks sorry to hear that, but 20 years is good for a pool!!!! I've replaced pools that were less than 5 years old from rust it's crazy you never know how good the steel material or how bad the pool is being built with!

      I use to during the summers I had my own company but it got to be too much with the family I was gone everyday doing installs, now I just do a few here and there but mainly pump, sand filter, and skimmer stuff now because it's a 1 man job!

    • @Bunkysworkshop
      @Bunkysworkshop 2 года назад +1

      I so want to do this and it definitely looks like a pretty straight forward type of job. Where I live the pool company’s won’t touch a pool they didn’t install so trying to get a company to do it very difficult. I wish you had a company here lol 😂. My pool is a 33X54 round pool so I’m guessing with two people I should be able to do this in a full day. Yes?

  • @marcfrank590

    How’s your pool holding up?

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Год назад +2

      It's great but its also like minus 14 degrees lol I'll know better in beginning of May when we open it, I dont foresee any issues I've done 100s of pools over the years and this wasn't a new build just a liner change so it shouldn't have shifted or anything. Are you gonna be doing one? Shoot me a text anytime if you have any questions! Good luck and thank you for watching!👍😊

    Why bother putting a new liner on a rusty wall ?

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Год назад +1

      Depends if it's surface rust, or small holes or if the structural integrity is compromised!

  • @marcfrank590

    Using spray paint for the rusty spots would’ve been better. If you had any.

      Another thing!!!! If you do another liner replacement. I would suggest wall foam to protect your liner or you should happen to replace your pool.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  2 года назад +1

      If I do end up replacing this liner in the future wall foam would definitely be a good idea, it would definitely provide a good barrier against the rust and other possible liner damage! Thanks again for watching!👍😁
