- What is good, today we will be taking a look at the Alpaca switch and the various modifications that can change the sound and feel such as changing tops and adding an NK cream Stem. Known as frankenswitches, these modified switches are very interesting.

I gotta say, I LOVE the concept of these videos, but I think that the sound tests need to have the pressing rate, decreased, and maybe the force also? The sound just blurs into one indistinct clatter, and I cant tell when I'm hearing the topping out noise vs the bottoming out noise.
Also, I think the audio starts to clip, and there ends up being a high-pitched tone over everything when the switches are being pressed rapidly. I actually always end up with ringing ears from these videos, even if I turn the sound way down.
Anyway, I'll keep coming back one way or another, good content.

Suggestion: Review creamsicles and compare them to creampacas.
I personally use alpaca v2 stem and bottom housing with tx 75g 16mm springs l and f on a Pom plate, the clack is really good and I really dig it gasket mounted.
My weak fingers can’t handle 75g lmao. That build sounds legit tho

Currently using Boba LT stems in Gateron ink bottoms(oil kings) with milky tops(ks-3) and they are great. Pretty sure they are called cthulhu switches.

I'm using kailih burgundy stems in Gateron yellow housing. Super clacky with 60G springs.
Just saying, you can use Kailh pro Burgundy stems as well. They are slightly longer than the reds and blacks. They also have a slightly bigger clack.

How do the creampacas or black cherry pies compare to the choreos you had before?
I think they are super similar, but the creampacas and cherry pies feel a bit smoother.
What differences would you say exist between creampacas and creamsicles? Loved the vid and this channel a ton btw!
Creamsicles are higher pitch. UHMWPE is pretty clacky material.

Do you by any chance have a spare Alpaca and an Bobagum switch lying around? Because I'd love to see what would happen if you put a Bobagum Stem in a Alpaca. I've no experience with frankenswitches myself, but that combination seems like something that could work very well for gaming. Maybe even in a hitbox style arcade stick?
Have you tried Lavender + Cream stem? Should be nice in theory. Same feel as Creampacas but even deeper right?
Does the cream stems consistently work with the v2 alpaca housings or you had to cherry pick them?

Do you have any thoughts on how the creampacas compare to the Durock POMs in terms of sound and bottom-out feel? Since they have the extended pole on the stem

Ok for some reason when I put the cream stem in the alpaca housing it wont come back up all the way? Am I being dumb or something I cant figure out what is causing it.
I am having the exact same issue and have been trying to find an answer 😥 I'm not sure if it's a lubing issue or if the stem is simply too big. Some of them have succeeded but it's only a few out of the many attempts have I've made.
@@MrMcTardis I asked a few people in some mech discords and we all came to the similar conclusion thats its a problem with the alpaca v2 top housing. Tried using the creams but it is not as pleasant sounding. Think I will go with a cherry top housing or perhaps something else to supplement it.

The material composition of H1's are different compared to alpacas so it would be something else
