You gotta try out Kailh pro burgundy stems with gateron ks3 bottoms, and boba tops. They’re bottom out sound is orgasmic, please try it out, you’ll thank me later! 👌🏼 they’re called “Deadpool’s” I’m not the creator of them but it’s the best frankenswitch I’ve tried so far.
@@MaqqqqoT ks3, but I’ve tried both and the differences aren’t huge. Just gives it a slightly deeper tone due to the nylon, And makes it a very cool looking switch!
@@Triannosaurus Thanks for the answer! Also I think I haven't expressed myself well. I was looking for KS3 Gaterons and found some with milky bottoms (atleast according to the shop that sells them, but unfortunately they're not listing the housing material). But I'm guessing milky bottom KS3s should make even less of a difference then 👌🏼
@@Triannosaurus Aliexpress actually has all black KS3, so I'll get some of those 👌🏼 Do you know any switch tops that actually fit on the boba bottoms? All I have tried were way too small to fit.
I'm going to do kailh pro burgundy stems in tangerines, whenever they arrive. They should be similar to creamsicles, but with slightly shorter actuation. I did some kiwi housings with speed silver stems, and they feel and sound good, but totally hair trigger actuation.
I think im probably gonna go and buy some creams and then when the time comes ill buy new switches and then just merge them together to make one holy switch and kind of "Kind of" get the best of my money.
I don't have much intention of actually making and putting switches like these on a board, but I just enjoy watching the scientific approach you take to testing everything out. :)
Just asking, does the switch that the cherry top originates from matter? So, for example, can I use a nmx brown as the top for a black cherry pie? Because the only combination I've seen is mx blacks.
Niceee🔥🔥!!! Hey I wanted to ask sth if u don’t mind. I reserved the gmmk pro and I am thinking is there a better option? (I don’t mind waiting 4-6 months and I can go up to 200€ or 230$) What would u suggest? Btw I don’t like the tofu hehe
Shoobs, have you fucked around with the the kailh pro/speed series stems. I tried pro purples in panda housings for a similar sound, obviously less tactile and unfortunately more stem wobble. I'm kinda curious how the linear speed/pros compare to cream stems.
I'm sure the cream molds are garbage by now if they weren't recreated after all these rounds of production which will dramatically add to a scratchy feel. I have a batch from the first round which were also broken in (about 1000 presses each before lubing) and they feel pretty damn smooth. I like them as a complete package, but would rather have a more subdued sound overall for the rest of my builds. A feel and sound combo that I'm currently digging is Invyr UHMWPE v1 stems in black ink housings -- gives me that dull thud that I'm looking for, lol.
how does the Kailh red stem compare to the Gateron red stem? i have several 90piece packs of Gateron milky reds ....just like them when they are lubed.
Is that correct that creampacas (and probably creampacas with pom stems) will bottom out faster than the regular creams/durocks? Meaning more typing errors? I am new to the switches but seen people complaining.
I read a reddit thread were the OP was saying that Black Cherry Pie's have a tactility sometimes if the top housing is too scratchy. Did you experience that at all?
I would like to do an halo stem + boba u4 top + durock t1 bottom frankenswitch. Theoretically it should feel like zykos but a bit deeper and its cheaper. Would love if you could test it out.
