Notice Stan's expression changes when Zoe was mentioned. He drops his cool boss attitude and looks vulnerable. I said before he is a very powerful man, but this family tie (Victoria, Zoe) could be his weakness. I am both delighted he is back and now joining the Boys, but also really worried for Stan.
More likely because he seemed to genuinely care for Zoe as a granddaughter, and he never wanted her to be involved in the world of sups nor did he want her to be like him or Victoria.
I love how clear its made that Stan let himself be put in prison and could leave whenever he truly wants. He pretty much runs the place and is obviously treated like a king in there.

The reason they were so desperate to bring someone like Stan Edgar onboard was because Starlight screwed up everything just when it seems like the government is finally going to crack down on hostile Supes.
This, but not ironically. This doesn’t even follow the internal logic of the story. He should be at home, having been kicked out of the company. There’s no basis for this man to be in prison, and it significantly undermines the untouchableness of his character.
@@abubakrakram6208Homelander testified against him with the full weight of Vought behind himself (and no doubt some extra threats from himself) plus i doubt Edgar really would have fought back all that hard
I no longer agree with comments that say "Gus and Stan are the same." Stan is much sassier, and it makes a big difference to the character. He also transitions constantly between cheerful ceo to ruthless bastard in front of everyone, save the public. Meanwhile, Gus was two distinct personalities. Monster and facade. You would rarely see both in the same scene, to the point where his Los Pollos Persona, almost felt like a genuine aspect of his being.

I was so happy to see him back in this season, fucking love the actor. The only normal human who dared speak up to Homelander and who Homelander was afraid of.
I like that we can see Stan Edgar is not as cold as he’s made out to be. He cares about the safety and wellbeing of his granddaughter and was horrified when he found out she got dosed with compound v.
It's interesting to see Starlight and Stan interact when just a season ago, he was still pinpointing her to lead the Seven and now here they are. Each of them chose a different path in life leading them to once again meeting each other. Starlight chose to quit the Seven and Stan being betrayed by his daughter.
Butcher: "You have something I want. You may think you have some idea what you're in possession of... but you do not. In a few moments it will be mine. It means more to me than you will ever know" Stan: 🤨

I literally asked for this last episode. I said I wish they would just bring Stan back. He is da Boss!
Now Soldier Boy needs to make a return
Looks like he didn't need Saul to bail him out 😂

Yeah I think in the boys that is the first time Stan lost his stoic expression
Even more so now that Homelander is becoming more and more detached from humanity. I wonder if even he can slow down Homelander.
