- First impressions of the Peak Design Travel Backpack. It's an impressive bag, simple in it's aesthetic with a depth of features geared to make one-bag travel accessible.
The world is shut down due to COVID, but that won't stop me from dreaming as I pack out the backpack with everything I would need for a week in the spring in Valencia Spain.

Thank you SO much for reviewing this bag. Also was pretty much sold after the Chase Reeves review, but was searching and searching for a female travel take on the bag (found one other gal, but she was using it as a dedicated camera bag).

Those side pockets are perfect to get to things in a rush. This is totally going to change my airport experience!
@@FlirtingWithTravel Yes I take advantage of all of my exterior pockets for grabbable items like tissue, a book, and a lite jacket. Digging through my bag is the worst so I always put all the things that I know I will need while on the road in those exterior pockets.

Hi! I’ve taken it on a handful of weekend getaways and a one week in Mexico. It holds a good amount and feels good while carrying. The hip straps and sternum strap definitely make it comfortable when running through an airport.

I'm planning on a month long trip to Asia with a group, next year. I will be putting it to the rest then, for sure. Other than that, I am trying to incorporate it into my production work.
Why did I pick this one?. Because Peak Design makes amazing products!. I appreciate their efforts and attention to details. I own many of their products and have enjoyed them for years already! :).
Speaking of their attention to detail, I think I'm about to spring for their tech touch and wash bag, but those prices are a little steep.

What an excellent video! Are you still rocking the bag? And did you find it comfortable to wear over the years?
Thank you! I do still use the bag for any travel 2 weeks and under. The sternum strap and hip belt have been clutch on 2 mile treks to a train station in Ireland and multiple jogs between terminals in Newark. The weight distribution is great, I’ll pick up my packed out bag and it feels super heavy, but once I’m wearing it with the sternum strap and hip belt locked in, it feels lighter on my shoulders and easy to maneuver.
One thing I didn’t like is that the sternum strap came off the bag sometime a year in. It was cheap to replace and now I’m better about making sure it’s securely fastened.

While I still really like the bag, I lost the sternum strap, which was a bummer. If you’re a minimalist packer, I’d still recommend this bag.
For reference, I was able to pack two weeks worth of clothes for chilly weather along with camera equipment, so it definitely holds a good amount.
