LOL, I do this all the time, packing, cutting of clothes, repacking, absolutely stressful to make it 7 kg , including weight of bag about 2.3 kg.... 😂

Can you make a video about how when you get there? Your seats is booked, but they will still try to make you book another seat as if your seat you’ve already purchased is not guaranteed? I was shocked as my first time flyingSpirit and to North Carolina.

You can probably wear certain things like a scarf, sweater and a hat and bulkiest shoes on the plane to save weight. It may make the difference of the 2 or 3 pounds you're trying to stuff in the bag.

I live in Germany and it’s completely normal to weigh every bag we bring on a plane before we even leave the house. You have to be very careful with weight and measurements for carry ons. Larger, checked bags also have a weight limit though, so your bathroom scale is your best friend…

they cost a fortune! you have to fly Spirit if you buy that bag! 700 bucks for a carry-on,..ridiculous. you guys should think about selling something else.

I think out of all the travel videos I've watched, yours was the most accurate and helpful in understanding how minimal it is to take a carry-on and a personal item on the plane. If your coat has some pockets, you might have been able to stuff it with some smaller items from your bag, then reshift it once you are on the plane. I am not sure if the airlines are monitoring weight at the gate areas. If they are, then you will not be able to reshift your items tol you get on to the plane. This smaller size and lighter weight restriction is so frustrating!😢 Thank you for doing this video!❤

The second I saw this style of handle I knew it would be my next purchase. The middle handle is such a poor design with all the space it takes up inside. And I would take this bag with perfectly fitting accessory bags and the swapable squares (seriously - genius!) in a "personal item" size (American Tourister is the only company that makes a real "suitcase" in personal item size right now that fills the full dimensions of allowable size/space). I might get use out of the larger size checked bag in my future travel plans but haven't had need of larger bags for a while now - I try to exclusively live by carry everything on - which also makes the fullest sized "personal item" very useful if you really need a larger (checked) bag but you are sticking to carry on only. **although my last few flights it seems so many ppl are doing carry-on only now that we run out of overhead space very fast. The only downside of this bag is that currently other personal item bags won't slip on top of the handle to more easily wheel 2 bags together, due to the wide handle so the company would do well to make a removable conversion attachment (or just make their own personal item bag stackable) until the industry catches up with this better handle design.

Whenever I non rev, I ALWAYS book a confirmed ticket on the way back home so that way, I’m not stuck wherever I go. I was stuck in San Francisco overnight without a hotel. Never again. I know it’ll limit where I go but, I feel it’s better to be safe than sorry. In case I’m stuck somewhere on my outbound flights, I’ll always have a confirmed ticket regardless Tbh though, I would’ve paid the 100 Euros. That’s not bad at all. Considering the fact that it takes so long to get there and back, I’d go through with it. Then I’d work out plans on where I want to go next

6:49 my go to airport is Chicago, Denver (if I’m traveling to Canada or Mexico) as well as Newark and San Francisco since I only have United flight benefits as an enrolled friend. I’ve had amazing luck with getting on a flight through those airports. Though, one thing I gotta mention is that I’m in Minneapolis (a Delta hub) and there aren’t many flights to SFO so I’ll only pick that one if I know I can get on that one. Usually when the 6am departure returns, then I’ll go on that one.

I fly to Europe at least once a year and stay for at least 2 weeks. I still can’t get the packing right no matter what I try. I’m glad you are at least honest and being helpful. The person commenting that they never had their carry on bag weighed, what about the “frame” they make you put your carry on in to make sure it’s not oversized? Not to mention that airlines are constantly changing what the limit is on weight and size and then there is what TSA wants too, they change their regulations as well. The insanity of trying to get everything in a carry on is ridiculous. Yes, make sure you have your most important, can’t function without items but it’s not realistic to expect everything to go in a carry on unless you plan to live in the same pieces of clothing for days on end. It’s so out of control that people are pushing and shoving their carryons everywhere and it delays boarding the plane. No one ever waits for their “zone” to be called bc they HAVE TO HAVE A SPOT for their carryon. If someone actually follows all the rules they can end up with no place to put their carryon. I live life when I travel. I get dirty, wet, and I spill things sometimes. I am almost always walking fairly long distances too. I enjoy getting out and experiencing wherever I am and sometimes end up being involved in an activity I couldn’t have predicted. I haven’t (knock on wood) had my luggage get lost. I make sure I have an outfit on I can get through a few days with, although I’d rather not.
