Great video, not su much information about these cubes on the internet :) It does look like however they should be taking more than 11 liters total, they take up more than half of your 40liter carryon suitcase.

Just bought one for an upcoming Emirates international flight , only one that would fit their measurements - especially width of 8 inches !

1 and 4 The inside pockets are great to hide money & credit cards from the professional pickpockets + it will keep you warm. Now shoes….

I've done 2 weeks many times, carry on only. I've packed for car camping with carry on only- including an inflatable mattress, pump, sleeping bag, clothing, etc.

I doubt too many of the looks were in a rude way. Will let you into a secret - Irish guys like black women. “What’s seldom is nice” etc. Also Ireland is one of the few countries in the world with no anti-immigration or right wing party. There is not one right wing member of our parliament.

Love this video! Thank you for posting. I was actually going to use my carry on for Europe next week but I decided to buy a bigger suitcase to check it in because I decided it mattered much more to me to have the things I want instead of not having the things I love and plus I’d feel deprived.

I use a fanny pack under my clothes and a coat that has a lot of pockets. Then your toiletries can go in your fanny pack and in the pockets of a multi pocketed jacket. You can add the rest of your toiletries to your jacket and maybe some other clothing pieces. And wear that bulky sweater on top of the clothes that you were going to wear even though you sweat your butt off waiting for the plane. And just take it off and use it for a pillow with your jacket. 😊👍

Carryon only is such a stupid flex. Unless you have to switch luggage amongst several countries on a flight, just check on a bag and be free and elegant at the airport.

i think for travel it is best to embrace the packable puffers (even tho my vintage heart does not want to)

Just a thought! Have you considered getting either a lighter smaller suitcase (which cost money) or (even better) get a weekender that's foldable and light for your clothes and toiletries? This way, your backpack mainly carries the valuables and electronics. Also, if you can find a jacket that's multi-purpose (perhaps removable sleeves/removable inner layer) so that you can pack less of the cute but bulky sweater. Thin cashmere scarf is great, even better if can find diff. prints on both sides to pack less. Shoes, unless your outdoor/off tourist spots requires it, less shoe is better.

Finally! Someone telling the truth! Thanks Lexie! I am going on a hiking/ touring trip that has a few really nice dinners! There is NO WAY I can go only carry on. I have found if you are doing a one activity trip with no special events then you can MAYBE do it. I have travelled to Africa and Patagonia with a carry on. My backup is a smaller checked and on the plane I take an expandable smaller carry on that will fit on my checked bag so I can handle trains etc without killing myself. I pack two days of clothes with me on the plane in case of lost luggage! You just saved me $300 to buy a carry on that I could fit everything in that would still be overweight! Well done!

I did five weeks in Germany and England with a Cotopaxi Allpa 35 and my daypack. I overpacked (too many shoes!), but basically took two merino dresses, one merino t-shirt, a merino slip/nightgown, a pair of merino leggings, a merino travel skirt, and a pair of merino bike shorts, plus undies, a couple of scarves, minimal toiletries (buy them there) one cardigan, and meds. Plus laptop, iPad, a couple of notebooks, a couple of books, pens, chargers, handbag. (It was a research trip). It was great! Trying to get it down to an Allpa 28 for the next trip. Why merino? You can wear multiple times without washing, and you can hand wash and dry overnight!

I check two bags, have one carry on and my purse. I overpack with clothes I haven't seen in years..... But I might need it! 😂

I see a lot of travelers look sloppy ,now I know why because they only take a hand carry bag. I loved to dressed up so I will never compromised. I never laundry either, been traveling for 25 years. I have roller back pack, a multi-purpose back-pack as my shoulder bag and check-in luggage. You’ll never see me with same clothes except jeans or those winter jacket. That’s how I roll and enjoyed.. all year long I wear scrub so on my vacay…. I dressed up..

We traveled to Spain last year for 3 weeks. Each of us had a hard-sided carry-on & a “personal item” bag. We flew Delta. I don’t remember our bags being weighed.

They never take into account if you have to travel for work and leisure at the same time. Then you need office wear as well as leisure. Not so easy.

My bag was weighted! Left San Diego no problem and when I had to go through customs and change planes in France to fly onto Germany, my bag was weighed and it was over the limit in the middle of my flight plan. I didn’t realize there was a limit to wait until then. I can fit a lot of clothes in a carry-on only but this is a great video discussing weight. I’m going back in November so I’ll be packing very differently.

The algo somehow blessed me with this video :)) The last time I flew with a roller suitcase was when money and weight were no issue (it was like 2000-something and I was a child lol). I fly budget within Europe (10kg, 20*30*40cm is the included carry-on) and my go-to coat needs to be oversize and have *pockets* everywhere so the draconian wizz air employees can watch me pack half of my oversized backpack into my coat if they comment :)) I've literally thrown pairs of shoes in my pockets. Also if you're late-ish (wait at a gate nearby) they let you run, but that's a high stress strategy hahah. You just need to know when exactly the checks are and survive the discomfort for like 10 minutes. Oh and Ikea ziplocs are my budget packing cube substitute.
