      We’re on the fence about trying the packing cubes and would love to hear from people who carry the backpack. Do you use your backpack with or without the Cotopaxi packing cubes?

      @@FlirtingWithTravel I don't have the Cotopaxi packing cubes. They are a little expensive, but oh so cute. So, I may purchase them in the future. Right now I use my backpack with compression packing cubes from bagsmart 😀

      Thank you so much for watching! I love hearing that the 42L has a water bottle pocket, do you find that you have issues with airlines trying to gate check the bag, that’s been my fear with going over 35L

      @@FlirtingWithTravel I have the 42L and have never had any issue with taking it on any airline as a carry on. This applies to both domestic and international flights. I tried the 35L, but I opted for the somewhat larger 42L and I have not regretted it at all. I have owned the 42L for a little over a year now and have gone on multiple trips with it. It's the best travel bag I have ever owned!

    This is an awesome video! Thank you! As a mum looking at packs for my teen going on a trip with school, and knowing very little in this arena, I found this such an informative video. Not just about this pack (which I'm going to get now, thank you) but about what we should be looking for and thinking about in general when considering packs. Thanks so much for this, I feel much better about my choice now. Thanks from the UK!

    Lovely backpack. Personally, no exterior water bottle sleeves is a dealbreaker for me! I could carabiner clip my water bottle to one of the loops but I feel like I’d get annoyed with it swishing around when I start walking + I’d be paranoid about it falling off somehow!!
    Great video, thanks for the detailed review!

    You also forgot to mention that you can “hide” the backpack straps in the back so that it is more “check bag friendly” to keep the straps from getting caught on conveyor belts. I bought one recently and though I haven’t had a trip to use it for yet, I absolutely love it. I also got a smaller backpack from them as a daypack. I did go through and looked at EVERY 35L Del Dia that was available at the time until I found “the one” for me. I had definite pickiness for the main color and colors I didn’t want for the straps. I got such an awesome bag and, just like a fingerprint, no one else has this bag, so if it goes missing it will be obvious that this is MY bag.

      Oh my goodness!! Great catch, how did I miss talking about that, I love that feature.
      Love the attention to detail, it’s a bag you can carry for years so it’s amazing you can find just the right color. What color did you pick for a primary color?

    • @SolanaDevon
      @SolanaDevon 4 месяца назад

      @@FlirtingWithTravel I went with one of the darker blue colors. That was my first must-have. Then I just went through ALLLLL of the others to find the straps I liked best. I can’t wait to use it to go to Scotland for 2-3 weeks in an RV. It’s going to be perfect…. Or else. 😝

      @@SolanaDevon how do you hide or tuck the shoulder straps in?

    • @SolanaDevon
      @SolanaDevon 2 месяца назад

      @@lorif7019 If you are looking at the back of the bag, you unclip each of the shoulders straps where they clip towards the bottom. You then lift up the back of the bag (there is an opening right below the straps and there is a place they can slide the straps away out of sight. You then tuck the bottom part of the straps up from the bottom under that same area. It’s best if you reclip them under the flap as they can sometimes have the bottom straps fall out of the bottom if the bag doesn’t have enough in it to give it a little pressure to keep them in there. The bags were designed this way so that you can put the straps away if you have to check them to keep them from getting snagged in the conveyor belts.

    Great review! 1x viewer, really enjoyed video breakdown. Have been bin search of a close to perfect bag. think there could be an easy access small pouch on that hip flap for a ok phone or wallet with and inside zip maybe and a stretchable pocket on backpack handle for a pair of sunglasses or phone. And place to attach a caribiner for phone, flashlight or whistle . things i carry when traveling even on non solos. Thanks again!!

      @FlirtingWithTravel  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching!! Those are some great extra feature ideas. If you’re not opposed to adding something to your bag to accomplish that, I recommend the Matador Speedstash, it can be added to the shoulder strap and is big enough to hold a phone, passport, small wallet. (We have a review on the channel if you have a few extra minutes to check it out)

    Part 2.. ill have ti watch more of your videos, curious to see how you travel with 2 laptops? Sometimes i travel with 1 laptop and 1 travel monitor to work uncompromised w 2 screens. Do you find that the laptop doesn't get too much pressure from a really packed bag?

    • @FlirtingWithTravel

      Thankfully no issues with the 2 laptops yet. I keep both of them in my personal item, and add my portable monitor to my carryon. It’s not the most comfortable situation, but it’s exactly like you said about working uncompromised.
