I think you and I should be sponsored by PD as we're both big fans and use their products all the time. In fact, that backpack is my main one to travel. I've just come back from few weeks in Africa and that was literally my only bag (no suitcase or anything else) haha
That would be awesome hahaha. Most especially you for the travel line! I can already see you on the website 😎 I would definitely love to see even a short of your packing setup. You’re coming up on your subscriber number for sure so you definitely gaining a audience to impact 👌🏽
Another beautifully shot video Mike! You're killing these reviews. I actually just sold my Sage version of this bag yesterday 🙂. I had it since the Kickstarter but only used it once, I love PD bags and gear - but for some reason the shoulder straps bother my neck. I've switched to the McKinnon x Nomatic Backpack for my EDC (well, I have too many that I rotate between for it to be an actual EDC 😅) and I'm using a Nya-Eco Fjord 60C as my large backpacking/adventure bag.
Thanks Keli! Greatly appreciate you stopping by! I can kind of see what you’re saying there. Now that you mention it, when I overpack much, I end up using the waist straps often. I just got Mckinnon backpack too. I love it so far. That has become my new EDC. I don’t know if it’s because I’m packing lighter but the straps on those things are great! I never heard of that Nya bag, but 60L is crazy huge hahaha. But makes sense for your new setup 😉
Hey does it fit the gimbal (DJI RS2) at 3:19 without being expanded? And if so does it affect the main compartment in the back? Btw Mike awesome content , video quality and explanation was on point.
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback! Yes the bag does fit the gimbal without expanding it. I mostly expand it for bulkier things like a winter jacket. The back is more like a rounded rectangle so the gimbal will stay straight up. That front compartment has enough space to accommodate the RS2. I'm not a fan of gimbal carry in side pockets, so this is actually my favorite way to carry.
@@MikeBSalazar perfect that’s what I have been wondering about. I was recently gifted an RS3 pro (my first gimbal), however, I saw many persons carrying it only on the exterior of the backpack but claim the backpack can accommodate it. Thanks for the quick response, I was torn between the peak design 45l and the PMxNomatic travel backpack.
@@wintez YOOOO!! GIFTED? You have a good friend to gift you that haha. In regards to the bags, they're both very comparable bags and either one will definitely be good for the average price point. I'm sure you could fit the RS3 in the front pouch of the PM bag too.
I haven’t had any experience with being stopped. I will say that your bag is definitely bulkier when you fill side pockets with tripods and gimbals. That probably wouldnt fit the average carry-on reference checker that some airlines have. Otherwise you’re good 👍🏽 no one has said anything to me about it
I know you have said and shown it can go under an airline seat (with personal sacrifices to space), but what about weight restrictions in carry-on? Any problems with that, especially with Asian airlines?
Good question. I had weight problems before with like a pelican suitcase but not with a backpack on Asian airlines. Pack at your own risk cuz sometimes them Asian airlines surprise you with a quick check at the counter
Solid review! Seems great for travel videographers but at the cost of weight on your shoulders. From camera body to lenses, they’re all heavy. I guess you get used to the weight.
Before I used these kinds of camera bags I would take the camera bag that comes with the camera and stuff it into my backpack 😂 eventually I bought a $30 bag from Amazon
@@MikeBSalazar I've been using a camera back (can't even remember the brand) from amazon since 2020, well as my gear is increasing, I'll soon be in the market for a new phone
It definitely all depends on the use case. I have two camera bags and two cases. If I can roll, I will roll the gear and save the back haha. What phone you considering?
What camera bag are you packing? 🎒

Have you ever experienced that airlines found the bag too big for Carry on? Fantastic video btw, keep it up :)

I never get used to the weight hahaha. We’re all anime characters just trying to get through it haha 😂
Now availability
Na the price is just way to much for my budget
