      I know right? If you psychoanalyze the show you from a layman's perspective would view the characters and their actions as completely insane. Imagine someone like Cartman or Mr. Garrison in real life. But you just kind of accept that it's a show within its own little universe and that the psyche of the characters is pretty commonplace. But then there's Butters. A kid you'd like to have as a friend in real life. The one normal soul dropped into a world of madness where a kids parents are fed to him and a gay teacher wants his dad to molest him for validation.

    The inherent challenge in reaction videos for South Park is that the references, dialogue, jokes or scene direction are often ripped straight from that week's headlines, which may or may not have faded from general memory in the ten to twenty years since.
    The difference with Dash is that rather than going "oh that's weird, why is that that way?" he actually calls it out or edits it in after to retain the context for the episodes.

    I got bullied thru Jr High for being poor...in an inner-city school. They threw food at me, one guy punched me in the face, one guy destroyed my winter jacket. Worst thing ever was when they would set up a girl to act like she liked me only to humiliate me. When I went to high school a kid started with me and I beat the crap out of him...pure adreneline, and it took 3-4 seniors to beak up the fight...along with the gym teacher. Sent to the principal's office with a split lip...worth it. Wasnt bullied again.

    5:43 I had a bully for 5 years. He tortured me, picked on me, beat me up etc. One day he was blocking the door to the gym, I pushed his leg out of the way, he shoved me, and then I knocked his ass to the ground. Everyone was proud of me sticking up for myself finally, cheering and everything. But then he got up and started wailing on me. We both got sent to the office and he ended up getting expelled. I haven’t seen him since

    • @TheCapedWanderer
      @TheCapedWanderer 3 месяца назад +1

      Hell yeah! I mean sorry about getting wailed on but glad you got rid of him, from the school no less. Normally a bully will not make the mistake of brawling in public, they’ll keep it on the down low and punish you away from prying eyes. But this guy did, and it’s because you showed him up, stood up to his intimidation and flipped the social scale; now _he_ felt humiliated, ashamed, and most of all, threatened. Scared that his power was broken. So he had to prove he was in control; ironically it only demonstrated just how *not* in control he was.

    This whole episode someone was beating down on someone else to fill a void in their own life, Butters himself did this (literarily) but unlike everyone else reflected upon his action and the lack of comfort it bought, he then went to the source of his issues and confronted them not with malice but to gain his own resolution he could be comfortable with.
    Hands down the most mature character from the episode.

I heard one of them withheld horizontal fun times until she heard from me that he stopped. Butters saying that his grandma is so true. And so real. My grandmother is homophobic, so she basically disowned me, still says horrible things about me to my mom and other family member’s, so I basically sent her a message that was similar to this.

    I wasn’t bullied, but my sister was bullied badly in high school. The school didn’t do much about it. It went on for months and she missed allot of school. My mum spoke to some of her friends at work who had slightly older kids. Basically, she arranged for older kids to bully the bullies. It worked. My sister never had problems again. The school was furious with my mum for taking that action, but they had no leg to stand on.
    Conflict resolution is a load of BS, if you want to stop being bullied, or someone close to you from being bullied, the only solution is to give the bullies some of their own medicine.

    when it comes to bullying at school you always get all the useless solutions from the teachers "Just ignore them and they stop" - "Simply keep away from them" or my Favorit "dont worry, if we see something like this happen ,we will make sure to stop it." . You know the only thing that helps at the end? Graduating.

    • @joey2765
      @joey2765 Год назад

      Than what’s your solution? Instead of complaining, give ideas. What would you have done if you were in the teacher’s shoes? You know that punishing the bully would also mean that the bully would retaliate on the kid who told on him

      @@joey2765 Clearly you havent understood anything from what i wrote.
      My point is, that there IS NO solution.
      The teachers might as well say "just bare with it until you finish school" at least that way they would not be lie-ing with useless cliche solutions that never work.

    I was bullied for almost every year in school. I got called ugly all the time, and people called me twitchy because of my nystagmus. One day in middle school, I called one of my bullies an inbred looking turd licker right in front of my math teacher and I never got in trouble for it.
    There was also one girl in middle school choir who called me anorexic just because I could sit like L from Death Note in crappy school chairs.

    At elementary, a kid was bullying by making fun of me while I was holding a dodge ball and I threw the all at his face and he cried. Later on he was acting cool with me because I defended myself. I wasn’t bullied at middle school all but at high school I have a friend who is kinda tough and would defend me so pretty much kids don’t start anything. But there’s this guy who’s harassing me because he just does and I got agitated and frustrated and yelled at him in pe class. Afterward he apologized and said he’ll leave me alone. All you gotta do is defend yourself and it’ll go away.

    They have alotttt of amazing songs, but definitely one of the funniest concepts they’ve written is this song about bullying, where they go on and on about how they’re gonna shove “the face of bullying” into the dirt, call it ugly and make it kill itself 💀💀 it’s actually a pretty good commentary on how a lot of the people think the “answer” to bullying is just to like beat up the bully, or bully them. I mean that’s what you always see as the “solution” in any tv show or movie, they always make everyone laugh at the bully and he cries and it’s a happy ending. That isn’t solving bullying lmao if the movie showed the bully getting the shit beaten out of him at home by his dad that would probably add another dimension. Most people would look at it differently, but the fact is people don’t WANT to look into that shit for any given bully bc its a lot easier to just pretend they love being evil for the sake of it and that’s that. I can think of these brothers that were sort of bullies in elementary - high school, they got expelled from elementary school and one got suspended in 6th grade for having cocaine in his backpack. It’s easy to just think those kids chose to be fuck ups, but I found out their dad and uncle were extremely physically abusive and I’m sure verbally to. Does that excuse him beating up some other kid? Of course not but it definitely insinuates it can stem from home, which is another thing they bring into the episode with Butters abusive grandma. It’s also very smart because obviously it’s sort of morbidly funny on the surface, just the idea of a grandma being the bully, but they’re making a commentary on how when the “bully” who’s physically and verbally abusing you is your own family member, it’s not as easy as just telling a teacher or standing up to them physically. People also act like it’s easy to just go tell the police but it isn’t, there’s a Stockholm syndrome involved when you’re a child who trusts the adults know better then you, and they’re telling you you’re worthless and that you deserved to be abused. You might not even know that doesn’t go on in other families until you go have a sleepover there, and maybe your mom isn’t physically abusive but she turns a blind eye to the fathers abuse. Then you tell CPS and they take you and your siblings away from your home, separate you and put you in a foster home, where you very well could be abused as well. That happened with those evil parents who kept their dozen kids hostage their entire lives, they were like chained to their beds and malnourished, couldn’t talk right and you’d think after that HELL the “child PROTECTIVE services” would PROTECT THEM, but many of those kids ended up being abused AGAIN in foster care. Which is actually ANOTHER episode South Park did that you should watch, “The Poor Kid” from season 15.

    Bullying in the western United States was impossible to deal with until the day Matthew Shephard was beaten and left out to freeze to death outside of Laramie, Wyoming. That was the day our school teachers actually did their due diligence in protecting the children. That event shook and changed the social structures in Wyoming more-so than the Columbine attacks, which happened a few months after. The teachers all knew at that moment, nearly all of them could be implicated into endless lawsuits for the things some kids got away with in our school. Without that horrific event with Matthew Shephard, I believe the sui%$de rate in Wyoming would still match Japan's, if not completely decimate it. The west was not a happy place during the 90's...

Lets all get together, and try to make bullying kill itself, Bullying's an ugly thing, lets shove its face in the dirt and make bullying kill itself, wohwo, wohwo, wohwo!" "Boy you like my body, dance the move lets play, you can touch me anywhere accept for my vajayjay." God, this episode is great for the Butter's story, but it also has two of the best South Park songs ever written. 14:42 "I've been planting those apple seeds, and while the apples grow, I'm gonna go out jackin' it in San Diego!"
