I've seen a LOT of the influencers labelling Ghibli Park an antithesis of the Disney experience. I personally find that confusing, because if anything, Ghibli Park doubles-down on everything modern Disney Parks push harder for these days. Literally every single little interaction at Ghibli Park costs you more money on top of its ridiculous ticketing system for a VERY "look-don't-touch" non-interactive experience (almost completely omitting rides of any kind), and focuses on SHOPPING way more than things to actually DO at the park. These are the exact same traits that Modern Disney Parks are being criticized for these days. As negative as this may sound, I still think it LOOKS beautiful in some areas, and is still very early in its life. I just don't get the supposed anti-Disney experience that influencers are talking about. The only thing I objectively prefer is that I like the Studio Ghibli films way more than modern Disney films.
This looks like so much fun but the ticketing into different areas and the prices for every thing is expensive, also seems like there's huge lines for everything. My visit to Japan is about two months away so I may have to start buying tickets now if I want to go.
Thanks for this comparison! Im going to have to pick strategically since we'll only be there one day. Was the line for the restaurant worth the wait in your opinion?
You're welcome! For the restaurant in the Valley of Witches? If you're short on time, we don't think it's a must visit, but realize you may need to eat at some point so you could opt for some of the faster options.
Hi, was just wondering if you are allowed to enter the park before the time on your ticket allocated for the warehouse, or do you have to wait for that allocated time to enter. Enjoyed the video guys, very informative 🙏
Cool video! I am visiting the park in a couple of months. On my ticket, it says my time to enter the warehouse is at 1PM. But if the park opens at 10 AM, does that mean I can walk around and see some of the areas prior to 1PM, then go to the warehouse, and continue exploring after 2PM?
The premium tickets give you access to go inside all of the buildings, while the regular one only gives you access to enter the areas. You can see more info in their main ticket website: ghibli-park.jp/en/ticket/
Is getting tickets for the park challenging? I’m planning a trip to Tokyo in January and would love to go to the park. I’m a bit scared I won’t get tickets. Thank you, great video!
It's definitely possible if you plan ahead of time as tickets go on sale 2 months in advance. For January tickets, they should go on sale Nov 10 Japan time
I just bought tickets for my trip in November - wasn't difficult, but you have to be ON IT. Go on sale 2:00 PM Tokyo time - that was 1:00 AM for me. So just make sure you're ready to snag them two months ahead and you should be good! Also of note - I believe the standard pass is much easier to come by, but I wanted the premium because that's the only way to enter Grand Warehouse and Valley of Witches areas. Good luck!
How long were the wait times for the new restaurant and gift stores? I'm going to the park next month, and worried that I will run out of time to see everything if the queues are long.
The merch in the warehouse should be relatively well stocked, but when we went when they just opened, there were huge lines for the register. There's also quite a few other stores that sell merch so you should check those out considering you don't have that much time in the grand warehouse.
Are they going to add rides? Looks like a lot of space to do so. Even just one Ghibli indoor ride, if done well, could be amazing. The movies seem like rides anyway!

hello, i was wondering if you guys were randomly checked (or spotted any random checks) whether the name registered on your tickets, matched the ones on your passports at the entrances. i missed my chance of buying the ticket 2 months ahead and now i'm considering whether to buy from a reseller. if they are no ID checks at the ghibli warehouse or in any of the areas whatsoever, maybe i can get away with the resold tickets
They didn't check our ids anywhere. They only scanned the QR code that we could access via the ticketing site. Note: screenshot didn't work and they asked us to login and have the webpage open which was a bit annoying since the website logged us out every so often
We're not completely sure. That is their stated policy. One guess is that they want guests to enjoy the park without crowds constantly taking photos in the smaller rooms.
The animate world became a real experience! A dream came true! 🥰
Yes!! It was so amazing!
Thanks for the video. Saved me a trip and a lot of time and money!!!!

Thank you for your video. Gave me ideas of new areas as I also already went the Grand Warehouse and next time I would like to go to other areas.
Maybe one day you'll get an Oscar for your RUclips videos 👍
Haha thank you for your confidence in us!
@@didibryan And a Nike shoe contract for Bryan's run on top of a mountain.
That would be the dream 🤩
That’s just the best Merry go round !
Definitely!!
So jealous ...looks like some much fun ...live in Oklahoma ..saving $$$. to go.
Best of luck and hope you'll be able to visit someday!
Omg I live in Oklahoma and wanna go too omg TWINS😜🤞

Buy the o sampo day pass or the premium pass that includes entry to everything. And yes, definitely buy your ticket ahead of time

Unfortunately they are quite strict. At best you may be able to get in a few minutes early.

Yes that's correct. Only the warehouse has a fixed entry time but you're free to explore the other areas in any order or timing you want
Hi but what is the difference between the premium tickets and the normal ones? Also great video!
The premium tickets give you access to go inside all of the buildings, while the regular one only gives you access to enter the areas. You can see more info in their main ticket website: ghibli-park.jp/en/ticket/
Great video!! May I ask, is there not a spirited away section of the park?
They have a Spirited Away section within the Grand Warehouse

The restaurant took us an hour from waiting in line to getting our food and eating. The new gift store had almost no line when we went after lunch.
I got tickets but could only manage 3pm warehouse tickets :( afraid all the good merch will be sold out but grateful I could get in at all.

Unfortunately I don't think so. Everything they planned to build in the park is fully open now, so unless they decide to expand in the future.
Are there any cafes in the park? Especially the Grand Warehouse?
Yes there are quite a few including a big one in the grand warehouse
I wish they build the marsh mansion from when marnie was there

Ill never be able to visit so thank you
You're very welcome!

How come your not allowed to use cameras inside of Howls Moving Castle?
We're not completely sure. That is their stated policy. One guess is that they want guests to enjoy the park without crowds constantly taking photos in the smaller rooms.
@didibryan I can imagine it would make the wait time even longer from everyone slowly moving around inside taking photos.
Yes - that was our other thought as well.
Hello, could you please tell me where the heen I can buy? Main warehouse?
It's sold at the Witches Coven 13 store in the Valley of Witches!
Thank youuuuuu so much for your kind reply.
You're welcome! Hope you'll be able to find the Heen
You use a 'queue 'for 'line', which must come from the British system country!🤔
Haha yes Didi lived there for a couple years 😅
There’s no music in the warehouse?
As in playing the music from the movies?
Ah and sorry, how about any free WiFi?
Apologies - we never checked if there's free wifi or not.
Wow you guys are cheap
Great video !! the grand warehouse is ok in comparison 🥲 i have to come back
Thank you! Yes! It was definitely worthwhile for us to go back!
