- I learned a little trick (That I did not know) on how to make it easy to peel an egg. This is totally different to what I normally film,, but it is kind of a cool little ninja hack,, that I hope my fellow nerds might enjoy! it´s short so please bare over with me. :-)
These egg's was very fresh and have an abnormally thin shell/peel,, I think it would work even better on egg's with a thicker shell.

For 3$ a month, you get an extra weekly "What's UP" update video. Just for my Patrons. The Support I resave on patreon is all used on stuff to make interesting videos on RUclips.
My PlayHouse is a channel where i will show, what i am working on. I have this house, it is 168 Square Meters / 1808.3ft² and it is full, of half-finished projects.
I love working with heating, insulation, Servers, computers, Datacenter, green power, alternative energy, solar, wind and more. It all costs, but I'm trying to get the most out of my money, and my time. Наука
Crazy cooking with morten is BACK!!!!!!!!!

Very random,, I know!!
This is a Great Cooking Channel
Thank you so much 😊 I appreciate you noticing it😳 I didn’t get this fat, out of nothing..
Boiled eggs dipped in Salad cream, a match made in heaven
Hi @Soapy555
Thank You very much! glad you liked the video :-)
Thank you for watching! :-)
This is the last type of video I expected from you hahaha
Also I add salt to boiling water to prevent cracking (some people do vinegar or both), and put the eggs in cold water when they're done cooking so they won't get overcooked with the heat accumulated inside.
Random Sunday :-)
Okay thank You for the tips :-)
Since everyone else is shouting tips:
If you put the boiled egg in a jar and fill it half full of water and shake for a few seconds the shell comes off almost by itself. It cracks the shell and the water goes in between the membrane and the white.
I use a drinking glass and cover with my hand as a lid. It is a useful tip if you have a lot of eggs (like 6+ : ) but for one off I just power through, one shard at a time :)
Hi @dennisolsson3119
Thank You very much! glad you liked the video :-)
Thank you for watching! :-)
For me, fresh eggs into boiling water for required time. Crack gently, pick off enough shell to get a spoon with similar curvature underneath to lever off the rest of the shell in seconds.
Okay,, thank You..
I hope you’re visiting the lovely Cindy vine. Love to see you on the farm again x
I am afraid It did not happen on this visit,, Cindy was away, and busy working from home etc... I could have gone on my very last day there,, but I was already stressing with all the stuff I needed to fix before I left.. I have been home senses 16th.
@@MyPlayHouse Maybe next time xx
If the Egg doesn't need to be whole (you know, for presentation, whatever), I usually just instead cut the top off the shell off after it's been boiled, then scoop the entire thing out with a teaspoon reducing the peeling to exactly zero.
I do that as well,, if it is for eating right away :-)
If you augment water mass, eggs won't boil out of their shell. As it won't be able to overcome the external pressure.
You can do it by salting the water, add baking soda,... 😉
Okay thank you,, great tricks that I did not know!! :-)
I find if I have the water vigorously boiling before putting them in, they peel super easily. If I put them in first then bring up to boil, as many folks taught me over the years, then they are impossible to peel.
Okay, interesting,, never thought to try that..
@@MyPlayHouse if you try it let us know if it works for you Morten. My theory is that the rapid high heat immediately cooks the outer egg white in place, maintaining the areas of void between the shell. Whereas cooking too slowly allows the whole insides to thermally expand and push hard against and bond to the inside shell as it cooks.
You asked for pointers. Herre is what I have found out over the years.
1. Electrik eggboiler (steam) is by far the chapest when doing small batch eg. 1-7.
2. Before boil, do NOT damage the structure of the eggshell eg. by tapping or putting hole into the shell with some pointy instrument. This weakens the shell and you more likly to the egg open up during cooking.
That beeing said, some eggs come with a weak shell and they crak during cooking no matter what.
3. Pealing, only one tap with the not pointy end of the egg on a flat surface, take shell off in as large peaces as possible and do your best to get under membrane helps a lot for a fast and easy peal.
On very fress eggs getting under the membrane is a lot harder than an egg a few days old.
Thank You for the pointers :-)
Man cracks eggs then complains that the eggs are broken. Lol
Yes it´s a weird world :-)
I just boil them normally, then peel them under cold water ( submerged under water not under a running tap )
Hi @ScowlerJase
Thank You very much! glad you liked the video :-)
Thank you for watching! :-)
👍
Thanx
I’m a little bit disappointed that you didn’t paint them before boiling 😅
I feel your disappointment with me,, in your writing :-)
@@MyPlayHouse not at all, as this is the only channel where I’m somehow ok with watching painting so perhaps next time ;) cheers Morten!
2nd too early for RUclips
Well that is a video on boiling egg,, could be morning egg :-)
It may have been useful to have a non cracked egg to see the difference
Yes,, I did not have enough eggs to do a real scientific test :-)
First!

Good morning, Morten. Why don't you just use an egg picker? I'm sure you can buy them in Portugal too... 😉
Well I do not know how a egg picker works :-/
way to much water, 2 dl water 5-8 minutes low temp with lid on and you get perfect eggs
Okay :-)
ok that was lame
when you have boiled you eggs you just tap them a few places and the nrole them under you hand
firm pressure and roll
perfect eggs each time
Well it does seem like everyone has there little ninja hacks with eggs..
😂 I wasn’t ready for a cooking show
Although I would recommend you to try Japanese recipe they soak the boiled eggs in soya sauce for few hours and it’s yummy especially if you eat it with Ramen 😋 I will send you a picture on discord
I head about this trick, and wanted to try,, so I filmed it,, now that I was doing it.. :-)
