  • I was planning to get the Cheap Aliexpress Switch uplinked to my main 10Gbit Switch in the Data Center. I will upfront admit that I did not get that fare,, quite quickly ran in to issues. But Progress was made :-)
My Patrons supplied the funds for this switch,, so Thank you,, and here is where you can become a patreon supporter : / myplayhouse

For 3$ a month, you get an extra weekly "What's UP" update video. Just for my Patrons. The Support I resave on patreon is all used on stuff to make interesting videos on RUclips.
My PlayHouse is a channel where i will show, what i am working on. I have this house, it is 168 Square Meters / 1808.3ft² and it is full, of half-finished projects.
I love working with heating, insulation, Servers, computers, Datacenter, green power, alternative energy, solar, wind and more. It all costs, but I'm trying to get the most out of my money, and my time.

Not sure about the pipe joint, water likes to get down the spiral gap even when you are careful with the tape.
I have a sump pump with a similar style of tube, I fixed a small crack with a heap of electrical tape and it still has a slow drip. So if the ground gets wet enough likely water will still seep in.
Plan on some water getting in the pipe, and have a down cable loop so water cannot run down the cable and into your devices

Well I know where it is.... if it becomes an issue it can be fixed.

Cooling is always nice when using diamond drill bits to avoid cooking them ;) get some water in the hole, it helps flush out the concrete dust and cool it.

This switch at ground level in a confined area submited to humidity and possible water infiltration is probably a bad idea.

+1 for making this a ToR (top of "rack")
On such a small fiber run, you could get away with a LC to LC fiber adapter and extend the 10 meter cable with another patch cable

I would estimate that there is room for like 20 liter of water, before the SW becomes wet.

Finding horseshoe = luck! On carrotes for concrete/ beton floors / walls usualy they operate wet (water stream) and slow speeds < 200rpm sometime percussion.... Iff brick wals is safe without water...
I deffinetly put upper that router I'm not comfortable with it on floor. Water wise ... 🌊🔌⚡

@@MyPlayHouse I am a long subscriber. I think you had around 25k subscribers back then. I look at most of your videos (not interested the battery stuff, but the rest is ok-super). I am an IT guy myself.

Hygrostat? Does it even auto start when it gets power? Otherwise you probably could put the hygrostat on the peltier element inside.
