Cape Cod Canal Striper Fishing: Chasing Topwater Action

- Mid-July 2024 saw a number of days featuring very consistent topwater action at the Canal. The only downside was that these bass weren't very big and they were keyed in on tiny bait and often didn't pay much attention to the lures we threw from the rocks. That said, this made for an exhilarating series of days spent zipping along the Canal service road launching casts into breaking fish.

Great video, Matt. That was a fun morning of chasing them down!
Thanks Chet - always a pleasure to fish with you. It was great to see you back out there on the rocks yesterday!
Hi i never catch big fishes so this is my first time to go there for fishing so can you please suggest me some address there and some tips ?? And last question is septembor good time to go to fish?? If you reply i will feel glad thanks
September is generally a good time for the Canal. Check out the recreation areas at either end. The Army Corps has a map that show parking areas. Spend some time watching what others are doing and you should be able to see what areas produce and how to work the lures they’re using.
@@nightshiftfishing thanks you are very hamble and nice man
Was there last week and fished a few mornings to catch the current change.Got skunked. Not much going on from what I was told.Saw a few fish caught.
Credit to you for getting out there - skunks have been frequent this year... Hopefully the tide turns for the fall run!
Always good ….
Thanks Joe - hope the recovery is coming along! 🎣🐟
Thanks for the video love watching u guys catch 👏💪🏼🎣
Thanks!! 🎣🐟 I appreciate the support.
Not sure what is more annoying...the heavy breathing or loose ass drag on a schoolie 🤔 . I'm glad I don't fish anywhere near this canal. I put my salary on it... you guys would jump in people pockets when you see bent rods. Anyways tight lines or loose drag in this case. Adios
Why you such a hater, chill my dude it’s an innocent fishing video
These dudes can’t fish anywhere else. No fish in the canal = no videos.
Awesome video bro! That top water blow up was really cool too!
Thanks Rob - it really was a fun time, that topwater blitz was beyond wild to watch for sure! 🎣🐟
Good stuff Matt. Nothing better than a top water bite.
Thanks Jeff - agreed, nothing better than topwater! 🎣🐟
The top water bite is the best bite!! Let’s go!!
You know it Mr. P, nothing better than a top water striper bite! 🎣🐟
