Good job. I fished Castaic even before it was filled from the shore used to catch some large bass before the stripers got in brings back some great memories Now I'm 78 and my hiking days are over enjoy it while you're young time catches up to all of us.

Great morning of fishing! Liked and subscribed. I was up on the east side of the upper lake on Sun., Aug. 25th and only caught 1 fish, but it was an 18" striper -- the first striper I've ever caught at Castaic. I usually catch large mouths, crappies, or trout from that side of the lake. Well done, man!

@@TheFishCatcher I've caught bass at that spot and one similar at Piru several times. That calm shallow area hits pretty good in July and August. His face said it all
Yea there's certain pockets where they push the bait into and it can get crazy. Don't fish piru much but has potential for sure

Awesome video! I've been trying to get that topwater forever now. I was at that exact spot a few months ago but got kicked out becuase the algae bloom. Saw some feeding frenzies, but didn't have a chance to throw top water. Need to get out there. Can I just ask what time of day this was?

Is there a limit for stripers for you? Also, what is the size to keep em? Here in Cali, it's 18 inches and above, and 2 only we can keep
In Los angeles county for the most part it is 10 per person with no size limit
