- The Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen and Adizero Boston 12 are two of the brand's top speed-oriented training shoes. The Takumi Sen is designed for high-end speed over short distances, while the Boston 12 is for comfort and speed over endurance efforts. In this video, I break down all the features and specs and let you know which is best for your rotation.

I miss these style of videos vs the 1.5ht long videos you put out now. Short, detailed and informative.
I appreciate the feedback - I've been thinking about how I can better serve people who order short form videos. For now, you can click the "run performance" timestamp section of the description and that's where I give my thoughts on the shoe after running in it. You can also let me know in the comments or email me yowana@supwell.io if you have a specific shoe question and I'll answer there! Again thanks for the feedback man - much appreciated
I've been getting along so well the the Takumi Sen 8 and the Boston 12 I decided to buy a pair of the adizero adios pro 3 I also changed the laces in the Boston 12 Now im using laces from the NB 1080v11 it seems to help a lot
I have 31 pairs of shoes, but as a high-school runner I have found the sen 8s and adios pro 3s to be the best shoes I've ever worn. I have enjoyed my boston 12s for longer steady runs though!👍
Just found some Boston 12’s 50% off at an outlet as well as the Prime X 2 on the same discount…gunna have to pick one tomorrow 😬
I have boston 12 and use it on my first 5k race 1 week ago, and after that i bought a pair of takumi sen 9 with new colorway. My pace around 9, guess i need to use my takumi sen and test it with my slow pace
Would the Takumi Sen 10s fit for a 10k race, and track workouts, intervals? Im not a fast runner, my goal is to run the 10k under 50 minutes. Also After the 10k I will train for a HM in September. Would I stibb be able to use the TS10s?
Just double checking, are you sure with going half a size on the Takumi Sen compared to the Boston? About to pull a trigger on a discounted TS9 here.....
Nice video. Are you seeing any good cyber Monday shoe deals?
video is uploading now ;)
Thanks for the video, great job. I have both the Boston 12 and TS 9 and have had the exact same experience. I do enjoy both of them, but they’re different shoes made for different types of runs.
Your suggestions are spot on (including Boston being TTS and TS size half up).
Keep the great content coming. #respect
Thank you!
I actually kinda like the Takumi Sen 9 for slower paces, its just insanely unstable when the contact times are relatively high.
I even used it for paces around 6min/km and worked kinda fine. Of course there are better options for that, but I simply like the feeling of almost nothing on my feet.
in the otherhand the eva foam of the adidas SL and Boston is waaaay too bricky for my taste.
Edid: ye if you are a heel striker the Takumi Sen really wears through like a dremel through paper, as midfoot striker the durability is really good. mine have 350km in and I almost see no wear and tear at all. Except on the edges when my running form was indeed suffering and started to hit the heel.
I bougth two max stack shoes and didnt liked them for slow paces, might try ts9 for that, i have a feeling i might enjoy it
Is the takumi sen 9/ 10 ideal for a 2mile race??
yes definitely! it's one of the best shoes for that
You always chew out the left foot no matter the brand Bro, lol
hahaha facts
I am training for a half marathon. I struggle with knee pain after I ran 21km (using a rebel v3). I don’t think I can run fast (7min/km).
I have a Boston12 on order now. Did i order the wrong shoe? Is it too “fast”?
It will feel a lot more cushioned than the rebel v3! It definitely gives you some assistance and pop that encourages faster running, but it's all relative to your own pace. If you like a slightly firmer and bouncy ride you should get along well with the Boston. Just make sure to give ti some time to break in! For me it started feeling best around 30 miles
