Have 70km in my Boston 12 now since this morning, so almost every single run:) It' s not bad... Much softer than the 10 I had and quite smooth ride sometimes. Has broken in a bit and is now quite flexible in the midsole too. Upper is still pretty unconforming. Not convinced this high stack of pretty firm foam is good. I often think on my runs would prefer something like the Pegasus, because it just feels more simple. This is just alot of shoe, if that makes sense. Might have to try the Adios 8 then I guess when it starts getting discounted.
I have150km in my adizero sl.I like it but I think it's midsole is a bit hard.I did some part-time work this holiday to save up some pocket money and wanted to buy Boston12.I would like to ask you about the purchase advice and can it be used for speed training.Thank you.
Seems like the Tekumi Sen is the best of both worlds. All light strike pro, better ground feel and weight compared to the Boston, and softer feel than Adios 8 with still good response. Just more expensive.
I have the Tekumi Sen, and really like them, but it’s a little too much stack height for quick turns when going fast, and similarly to other higher stack shoes, I feel like I have to adapt my running style to maximize efficiency. I would really like to try the new Adios 8. I expect they would feel much more like a traditional racing flat but with a bit more cushion and bounce.
One question.. I did a hard long run in the the Adios Pro 3 today. As you know I am old and slow but love Supershoes. On one foot after the run my Achilles Tendon is very sore.. Is the Boston 12 more stable then the Pro 3? More suitable for long runs?
I love the Adidas Adizero line, and I got both Adios 7 and Boston 11. I will definitely get later on the Adios 8 . But besides the fact that the Boston 12 looks much cooler then my Boston 11, I was thinking of trying something different : Asics Magic Speed 3. Do you know if the Magic Speed 3 will be too similar to the Adios 8 in terms of versatility and Speed ? Thanks.
Between the 2 probably the Adios 8. I need the 8 mm drop and I am a heel striker and slow runner so I don't thinks I generate enough power for the Boston 12. I run my long run at around 185W.
I'm also a very slow runner and heel striker and I mostly prefer highly cushioned shoes like the Hoka Clifton and Nike Invincible... but on days when I'm feeling pretty good, the Boston is just amazing for long runs as it has great energy return but still just enough cushioning to still feel comfortable after 30km, even if they don't feel that soft when starting out!! I was surprised how much more energy I have with these shoes at slow paces after a couple of hours on foot!! Plus the outsole is brilliant and very confident in the rain and even on some variable terrain. One day in these I accidentally ran my third fastest half marathon without even trying to, in the pouring rain, and that was after running 59km in the previous 2 days in my Cliftons.🤯 I got a little teary-eyed at that one!!
Very good video. Regarding the size of the Adizero Adios 8, if I wear a 43 1/3 in the Adizero Avanti TYO model (spike shoe), would you recommend the same size in these new Adizero Adios 8 or half a size more? Thanks for your attention.
LS 2.0 seems to crease way faster than original LS, hopefully that's not an indication of the foam not rebounding back between uses, and more a cosmetic thing.
Hi Alex, first of all excellent video as always. What is your recommendation for a light runner that loves hoka mach 5 for speed sessions and long runs and also enjoys adios pro 3 for races....Do you think adios can be used for long runs too? Or maybe the recommendation is mach x...?
Mach X wouldn't make that much sense in the context of such a rotation. I would encourage you to test Adios 8 or Cielo Road. Hope this helps and thanks a lot for your comment ;-)
@@AlexFilitti Yes, really, and thanks for the answer too. As many many other useful reviews you made, it helped me to choose if buy (or not) many shoes, and I agreed with your opinion quite always (except for the nimbus 25 I have to say... terrible shoes IMHO 😅)
Alex, does it make better sense to use a more flexible raceday shoe for marathon instead of very stiff carbon shoes for a very average runner like me? ( marathon pace about 5-5:20min/km). I feel that my Adizero Pro 3 only comes to life at paces I would never be able. To. Maintain for a marathon or even half marathon distance and perhaps the Boston 12 with more flex would. Work better.. (?)
Boston 12 any day any time for my feet. Adios 8 and Takumi Sen are great shoes but it hurt my achilees heel so much, it contricts my feet too. I guess, both of the shoes fits narrow feet and wide feet like mine suits better with Boston 12. It just feels snug and super comfortable and cushioned from heel to midfoot area. I bet Adios 8 and TS are more faster shoes than B12 though.
Always boston runner from its 5th version. I was disappointed with the 10th due to its weight and luck of softness compared to the 9th version. Hope new 12th Boston would be more pleasant and bouncy
The Adios 8 would be a good shoe to use on the track, although officially I think it is now illegal due to its increased stack height, however, too low of a stack height for a comfortable run on the road making it a dead duck in my opinion. Running 5km on the road in my Adios 7 used to feel like I was running in old tech running shoes from the past & I needed to take more days off afterwards to recover. If running a 5km race I would pick the Boston 12 or another brand altogether.
Hi, i recently bought adios 8, it started giving some kind of heel pain on my left leg, is it common in these shoes or ? Can some one suggest a solution pls
I have Boston 10.. I was running one half marathon in tnem.. But it should little bit lighter.. And maybe softver.. So those new one, or maybe takumi sen 9.. Continetal ruber is top 💪⚡⚡⚡
the creasings on the lightstrike 2 compound are very noticeable, considering that you haven't got significant amount of mileage on them. How do you think about the midsole durability on both shoes?
Not sure about LS2 (which I haven't used yet), but it was no problem with LS1. My Adios 6 started to have creasings after the first runs, but is still running strong performance- wise after 15 months of extensive use, including two half marathons.
Boston 12 is a fantastic upgrade, better more comfortable ride than the saucony speed3, peg 40, and puma deviate 2 ( my favourite) great all round shoe for up tempo and easy runs and definitely a companion shoe for pro 3 now 💯,as for other shoe give me sen 8 all day long 😂
This is very good to hear. I have the Boston 11 and only use it for the occasional treadmill runs at the gym. I like the overall fit and feel of it but it's a little too firm for daily use. Hoping the Boston 12 can be the workhorse daily trainer I can use with the Deviate Nitro 2 (also my current favorite!) and Endorphin Speed 3. Seems like this update is exactly what I've been waiting for!
@@alexkhan2000 exactly like me I have Boston 11’s but are to firm for roads so I use for light trails but the Boston 12 is soo much better the cushioning is very noticeably softer and a little lighter as well, I personally love them 😊👍
I have enjoyed Boston 11 during my long runs and, will try them for a half this weekend. I think I will enjoy Boston 12. I dont own an Adios 7 pair but Adios 8 looks very nice, will probably try them.
I honestly would love your take on these two comparisons.
Adios 8 vs Liberate Nitro 2.
Boston 12 vs Deviate Nitro 2.
My experience in the boston 11 drives me towards a better upgrade of it. I love the Boston 11 and I'm looking forward to try its new version.

I have the takumi sen 8’s and I love them. Hard to imagine the adios 8’s could be better. Looking for a long run shoe with similar magic.
@@ScottC79 I also have the Prime X which is great but the Adios Pro could be a good option too.

The magic speed sort of reminds me of the older adios sneakers from way back in its heyday, i.e. adios 2. Magic speed is a frickin great speedy shoe

I don't think Adios 8 is made for slow running. It is not the most comfortable shoe for that... you can get better if you want to run slow!

Difficult question - Boston 12 or Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 2? For steady long runs.. Up to 2 hours..
Deviate Nitro Elite 2 for me :)
Good video! How is the uppoer of boston 12 compared to 11? I have wider feet and my 11 exploded after about 50k :-(
My foot 25,5cm x 9,8cm. what size boston 12 i choose? Compare wide part between Puma deviate nitro 2 and boston 12. Thanks!
Interesting comparison... I was about to buy one of them and yiu know what? I saved my money and stay with the takumi with no doubt.

Is there any reason to have the Adios 8 if you have and love the Takumi Sen 8 (or 9)?
Nope. Takumi is better
No, Takumi Sen 8 is much better.
Adios 8 feels more like racing flat while Takumi sen is definitely a supershoe just with little less stack, very different shoes, but love them both
I love Boston 11 maybe because I am a heavier runner and get more cushion?
very agree with your opinion.
Have both, agree
If I’m a 9.5 in the adios 8 should I get a 9.5 for the Bostons too

Is it the same snug fit for Boston 12? I went half a size up for Boston 10, but it was a little too big. Staying true to size is a bit snug.
Can you tell the difference between kinvara 13 and adios 8
How did you get the Boston 12 in that color?
