Tom F, +++! I saw God as a bright Light on 4 hits of acid in 1974. Scary at first! He rescued me while driving thru an apocalypse of tornadoes, volcanoes & exploding A-bombs in downtown Armageddon! Almost had a heart attack! He said "Don't be afraid", shaded me & fixed everything! This tune would have been perfect! The acid was supposed to be weak so we took 4. My friend was so scared he drank his whole bottle of wine, passed out & kept flopping in my lap. I had to push him up against the passenger's door 4 or 5 times while trying to drive safely! I called for help & God came to the rescue, even reviving my friend!

This song always plays after a long time being far from home... I gotta say that the piano intro makes cry some tears... One of the most beautiful rock songs ever... Thank you, Motley Crue. This version from 1991 is as awesome as the original one from 1985. PD: I'm 27 years old... I wasn't even born when Motley Crue was rocking. Home Sweet... was not a " hard ballad". It was an honest, sentimental account how far the guys had gone from their beginnings. It Was The Firs. It was a tremendous success and then ALL hair bands had a "ballad" in their albums. The reference to the Long And Winding Road is awesome. They had already done Helter Skelter to show that they were one the biggest bands in the world.
This song came on the radio about 4yrs ago when i had broke up with my wife.I had left the province in a histaricle rage and drove from ontario to nova scotia, as i crossed the new brunswick border to nova scotia i could see the province flags across the bridge and this song played on the radio at that point i knew nova scotia would be my home I absolutely love this song
