- What to do when a disc gets stuck in your PS5! If your Playstation 5 keeps doing this - you should return it, exchange it, or get it fixed. Before you do, here's step-by-step how to get your disc unstuck from Playstation 5! First thing you should do is disconnect the stand & all cables from your PS5. After you remove the cover, you can use a screwdriver to access the manual eject screw. Turn the screwdriver clockwise to remove the disc from the system. This will remove the disc from your PS5. If it's the first time this happens, don't worry. However, if this keeps happening to your Playstation 5 - you should return it, exchange it, or send it in for repair. Hopefully this helps!

A mate of mine put his ps5 in test mode on day 1 and the console bricked . He spoke to Sony and got a replacement in 3 weeks - which I think is bitter sweet . Bitter that it even happened in the fire place but pretty impressive Sony sent him a replacement that quickly

Mine had a bad GPU and got a replacement after like a month. Guess they have a "backup"-stock just in case.
@@AncestorEmpire1 fyi, its not one of a few. Almost all big retailers have replacement units which they are not allowed to sell, including the PS5 and XBSX. A staff at EB Games Australia informed me that the number of these replacement unit are approx half or a third of the number of consoles they sold. So if u buy a PS5 from a reputed retailer like Walmart, Target or EB Games, they always have a backup unit to replace your lemon system.

Another question is, why are the PlayStation 5's acting nitty with the discs? Is that another one of Sony's schemes to force their customers to keep buying their products, just to keep bragging about how many systems they sold over everybody else? So that's Sony secret trick to sell so many systems, make them prone to breaking, so their own suckers, I mean customers, can buy another system, therefore, seeming like people are flocking to their systems, when the whole time, Sony's recycling their customers to buy another system. Get the total number of systems sold worldwide, and divide that number by 2.5, and that's how many people really bought them. Gotcha. The reason for the 2.5 is because a lot of the people bought 2-3 systems. Tell me that don't make complete sense?
@aDg 2k18 but remember xbox 360 had that red ring of death problem, most of the time that was just because Microsoft used a cheap capacitor and if you didn't have the $60 Xbox live subscription/insurance, you were out of luck and wouldn't get it fixed without paying even more then $60, that's what happened to me... so it's not unpresidented that a console maker will sell us a poorly made device so that we then have to pay additional fees to get them to replace or fix their mistakes they purposely made

I had this problem with mines every now and again. When this did happened I would use the eject option from the Home Screen instead of using the eject button. Worked every time for me.

@KlazeGamez nope. If you can still command the PS5 to eject it, even thought you need to do it from a different menu then that means it's just a software issue. Not an expert but I think that type of software is called kernel or drivers
@@betoalema not true. It can be either hardware or software if this is the case. Being able to do it from a menu suggests that the button push itself isn’t being registered, which could either result from how the software is handling the I/O or the switch being faulty and not going fully closed or open.

If he had non click bait titles and thumbnails I would agree. Seriously, he already has a reasonable footing in the recommendation algo, why he makes these kinds of titles is just pitifully annoying. Now 2 years from now when someone is trying to find a specific video then we'll good luck, non of the titles are specific and the thumbnails are very useless. I got the disc version so I could pick up games like demons souls for $40 on ebay instead of buying it for $70 on the ps store. It will save 💰 overtime imo.

I was raised with the knowledge that “if it happens once it’s going to happen again”. If your brand new PS5 gets a disc stuck in it once, it’s going to happen again; not a matter if, but when so get that problem resolved either by returning the system or sending it back for repairs.
At this point i should just give up and hopefully its the gta5 disc
@@theincrediblecraigo8466 I had my PS5 for a week, and I was trying download an update for warzone to my extended storage, that was going to take forever, 99+ hours is what the system was telling me. So I chose to cancel the download and eject the extended storage to move it back over to my PS4 and do the update there.
When I attempted to “eject” the extended storage the entire system froze and I had to do a hard reboot. Before restarting the system however, I removed the external drive and used my PS4 to rebuild the database while I did the PS5 reboot. Fortunately, everything came back fully functional, and I was able to move the external drive back to the PS5 without issues.
I guess the 99+ hour update for warzone was a system glitch, as on my PS4 it was done in about 30 minutes, but that was a big glitch that almost bricked a week old console. Haven’t had issues since, but I’ve been more cautious when I use the system.
The only things I wish the PS5 had right now is compatibility with 3rd party cameras, and the ability to use my custom backdrops from my PS4.

I think their getting easier 2 get. Last week Sony direct on Tuesday I was waiting for queue line to open and even though it said 1 hr it took 5 mins n I was in the store added to cart and finally after 10 months it was smooth. Next day was able to get my sister 1 at walmarts 9pm sell got it on 3rd wave at 930pm so I'm thinking maybe it's easy now? But gl

I love my ps5. Sony invited me to buy one last week. It's worth it, whoever is wondering. It's not worth $1000, but it is worth the wait for 500. Next gen gaming is like always playing on acid.

I think that ejector screw is simply a gear with a screw slot in it, so you can easy handle it.

There are several shops in my country that has loads of PS5 disc versions in stock, Series X is harder to find because you need to wait 2-3 weeks for that to ship.

I remember I had this particular problem with the ps4, luckily Sony always had a emergency ejection screw and I used that.
Yeah let me make it easier on you. Just lay it flat when u need to eject a disk. My ps5 does this with some of my 4k movies doesn't do it to my games but sometimes it does happen with some of my 4k movies though 😅. But if I lay it flat then hit eject it works just fine. So try that before you go through all this.

Good video, I just worry that the ejector screw having that plastic guard on it is designed to be tamper evidence, meaning Sony will blame you for this issue and charge for any repairs.

@@njpofficial if you do not own a ps5 at the moment don’t freak out. Be happy. However I will say if you do plan on getting one. Even if you have to pay extra get the day 1 release edition. It has way more heat sync in it to keep it running cool. The new one actually took quite a bit of over-engineering out of the design. And the new one runs almost 10 degrees higher. If you want anything to last loner having it run hit is not the way. Tell your friends too man don’t wanna see anyone get screwed on an already over priced system.

I have an old Compaq pc, 1995 still running. Original sideways cd drive. Never had slippage or a stuck disc. What is this in 2021, a crazy house?

My xbox 360 had major disc ejection problems laying horizontal, I suppose that was because of the actual disk tray though as you could hear it actually try and push the tray out but the tray would move less than a millimeter before stopping.
Been having my original ps3 vertical since launch. Never had any problems
