Layne was perfect for Ozzy ...I prefer this version of hunted down to one are two of Chris's😱 often wonder who's version Susan preferred!!! Alice In Chains was definitely inspired by sabbath more than most bands during that time. Both my favorite bands ever

I know Jerry loves Sabbath but Diamond Lie was literally a glam metal band lol and they were in the scene trying to be like Guns N Roses and Van Halen... Laynes first band Alice N Chains is wrote exactly like Guns N Roses they only changed it once they formed with Jerry, Mike, and Sean and the whole sound changed too.
Hunted down is epic... Saw SoundGarden do this song in 90 when they toured with FNM and Voivod

He was emotionally immature from combined trauma and early drug use, but he was also incredibly sensitive. Care about your friends? Cry at sad movies? Pfft. F*g. It was him trying to say, "See? Not me." And it was sad, and ugly. And I think if he realized how harmful that was, if he'd survived, he'd have learned being presumed gay isn't insulting and stopped talking this way.
It's surreal to think about how he ended up in a terrible state of health when every time we listen to him he makes us terribly alive. Whether with AIC or MAD SEASON.

So this is from 1991, Halford came out in 1997. JP is my favorite band saw them in 1982 when I was 7. It was pretty obvious he was gay. Them singing this in 1991 means everybody knew and no one really cared.
I was trying to decipher the lyrics and I realized layne says "yellow hankie" which is what gay men would wear in their back pockets to let other people know what their kink was by the colour of the hankie. Rob would wear a red one in his left pocket. I'll let you guess what layne's kink by the colour yellow 💛 🚿🤘🏼😂

Yes they’re still a band (Alice in chains) but unfortunately the lead vocalist (Layne Stanley) sadly passed away in 2002.
