It is also kind of mind boggling to realize (with the assistance of RUclips) how many of these important shows from acts during the early/mid 1990's were recorded and are thusly preserved for posterity. None of us noticed or cared about camcorders being there because we were having such a good time. Someday we also may be thankful for all of the cellphone footage that is currently being recorded too. Agree that concert goers rarely seem in the moment because everyone wants proof that "I was there!!".

Thanks for uploading this. I miss Alice. I was never into the whole grunge thing but AIC had some cool well written tunes that I could relate to. His voice. Damn. Jerry's riffs just fit so well.
As a side note, when my daughter was in elementary school she was told by one of her teachers that was helping out for the Christmas show that she needed to sing from the diaphragm. She didn't understand what that meant so I said it wasn't about just taking a little breath and singing, it's about taking a deep breath and pushing it up from the bottom of your chest. She said "dad, show me." I had Dirt on the car stereo so I did the ending of Would? at full gas - about twice the volume level of what was on the car stereo. She looked at me like I was possessed by the Devil. She knew I had taken guitar lessons and spent years learning music theory based on guitar but didn't no anything that me singing.
Memories: sitting with your 10 year old daughter in the driveway belting out "If I could, would you?" and then having mom ask her when she came in the house after an hour of driveway vocal fun if she was sick because her voice was jacked. She wanted to keep going until she could get the final "you?" correct. Yeah, it was an octave higher but she got it.

G O A T....Undisputed! Got Dirt on cassette in early '93 and it was only album I brought with me for a 4 day surf weekend. Listened to both sides over and over. Even on the way home, beat ass tired and arms like spaghetti I was hyped and happy because of this album. It just lined up with my life at the time! I absolutely love Facelift, but this was a monstrous follow-up.Thank you to who uploaded this. You deserve a medal!

18:21 surprised to hear Layne's voice crack in '92, and at the very beginning of the set too. Wonder if his vocals were gassed from previous performances? I like how he used the audience to shoulder some of the workload though. I would have done the same thing heh

    • @deadletteroffice-atributet3261

His voice wasn’t warmed up yet. Usually a song this challenging would be placed later in a set, unless the vocalist took the time to really warm up beforehand.

@@deadletteroffice-atributet3261 On the same token, a song like that can be a bitch to sing even when warmed up. Like how Maynard said he kicked himself in the ass for writing songs that are just hard to pull off especially when road haggard, warmed up or not. So I can see getting it out of the way early in the set.
