Fill in Falmouth PANTERA was there, The place was packed. Layne sounded Incredible, he came out swinging and sounded amazing.🎙 I've heard so many stories about Mike and I am getting into all kinds of trouble taking off not showing up to practice. Chris Cornell's ex-wife Susan cell phone managed just Alice in chains... Mike and rain showed up a few hours before the show and she told Mike Star would be kicked out of the band after this show. She hired security guards to follow Layne everywhere to keep him away from any drug dealers and Mike. If you were lucky enough to see them on the Dirt tour you never forgot it. I remember being so pumped that I kept jumping as high as I could for no reason so what so ever :) It was so heavy and EVIL sounding! It was never quite the same after they fired Mike. You didn't realize how much his bass sound added until it was gone.
I was also completely sober which was unusual for me at a show. After that experience I started going to shows sober all the time.

Thank you and God bless you a million times for posting this great and precious of a rare video. I lived 45min from this venue when this concert took place at the Hollywood Palladium and never made it and didn't know they played there on this date. How I missed this concert is beyond me and am thoroughly annoyed that I did not go.
My friends and I tried seeing them a little over a year earlier when they were opening for Van Halen at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa California. Our ride was late and the traffic to get there from the San Fernando Valley area was beyond torturous. By the time we got down there we were almost completely depleted of energy and mental clarity. Then we walk in there not only to have completely missed AIC, we missed the first three or four songs into the VH set. This is from the heart and truly mean it and that is this. Thank God we had people to film these concerts and thank God people post these videos on You Tube. Layne and Mike are gone and on top of that, it seems like a lot of these bands take eternities to realize there is this universe of people who want to see the pro shot live video from these tours from so long ago. So many concert videos are in vaults.

His voice isn’t really underrated at all. It’s pretty well fkn known that he had the vocal range of a God.

This is awesome ! Full of energy! Dirt was just released Sept 29th that year so this show is like 2 1/2 months after so it’s still fresh for the band and it shows! Layne at the top of his game !

I saw Layne in a three piece suit at the start of their set on Lollapolooza in 93 and it was like 95 degrees that day! Needless to say he took the jacket tie vest and shirt off after playing Would the first song to start the show! Very charismatic singer and great stage presence! His voice very unique and an unbelievable range! RIP Layne!

Alice in chains is a band I wish I gave a chance much earlier on into my life, I am 20 now and have really only listened to Alice in Chains exclusively for a year now, before that I knew them bones and Man in the Box, I listen to it all now Layne's voice is all I want to hear anymore, he spoiled us with that voice and now I can't listen to anyone else without skipping back to Alice in Chains halfway through the song

This is insane to watch by the minute. Must have been a upper and downer that allowed Layne to sing like this.. Maybe the band was affected too. But i just wish we could have seen Layne at 28 sober for 6 months and hear how he sounds....
Maybe, the power through a set wouldn't be there in that scenario.. But I believe the voice/vocal control/passion.. And most importantly honesty would be there. What a legend

He always plays the guitar on "Hate to Feel". In studio and live. This must be your first AIC live with Layne video 🙂.
