Is it worth considering the Intel Arc A750 if you're throwing together a budget gaming PC? Well, in some cases it may prove to be a solid alternative to the RTX 3050 and the RX 6600, however there are definitely some issues...
The Intel Arc A750 is a performance segment graphics card launched as a part of their first generation, code-named Alchemist, of discrete graphics cards! Surprisingly though, Intel has been in the GPU business for decades and you have probably experienced one of their GPUs integrated into a CPU. By percentage of devices sold with Intel graphics, they account for the majority of graphics solutions sold per year- however can their mobile expertise translate to the high performance, high power budget desktop discrete market? Well... surprisingly yes and no...
    Test System Specs:
    - Intel Core i5-13600k, 5.4GHz
    - Corsair H150i 360mm AIO
    - Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4
    - 32GB 3600 MT/s Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4
    - Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition
    - WDB SN770 1TB PCIe 4.0 for games
    - Samsung 970 Evo 1TB PCIe 3.0 for OS/Boot
    - 650W EVGA PSU
A GPU is a separate bank of ALUs and FPUs, designed to offload heavily parallelizable calculations from the main CPU onto a dedicated chip. The Graphics Card refers to the entire sub-system, containing the PCB, Memory, and Cooling solution.
Building a Budget PC can be tough. Not only are GPUs and CPUs so incredibly expensive, but they can be hard to find on a budget... But, there are tips and tricks to finding you your dream Budget GPU, and pairing it with a CPU that will give you the performance you want!
Also, if you're reading this far - I had to render this video 11 times because Da Vinci Resolve would crash to desktop randomly while rendering... I had to power limit my CPU and that's what allowed me to get it right on the 12th try...
    Have a Great Day!

A750 works fine on PCIE 3.0 since it has x16 lanes, comparred to the RX7600, 6600, 3050 & 4060Ti, which only has x8.
I'm running mine on a Ryzen 5600 + B350 Win 10 system and as long as ReBar is on it's smooth sailing.
Running an Intel CPU with an iGPU seems to have more issues.
Admittedly I got mine at a cheap $150, which is half the price of a RTX3060 12GB which it competes against.

@@ProceuTech I got my A770 16GB Limited Edition model for 300 USD around Christmas because my retailer needed that space for 4080s. Funny thing is the Intel stuff isn't on the open box shelf, but the scalper 4080s are. 😂😂

    • @ProceuTech

That’s a steal at that price, especially with the performance you can get out of it today!

@@ProceuTech Even at the MSRP its still under half the price of Nvidia's 16GB card. At least the 4060Ti will be 16GB for $500 though and half the bus width of the A770, yuck. It will age like 💩. The 7600 isn't promising either, its performance is, just not as bad as Nvidia, meh. I bought it for its potential performance and I can work around it quirks, dxvk and d8vk can solve the old game issue, in fact that is how they supercharged CS:GO. Love my 12700K and the A770, plus I am helping diversify the gaming GPU market away from Team Greed. Although I do fell this first gen Intel card for us tech guys is somewhat of a protest move against Nvidia. Can't wait until Moore Threads and others join lets bring back the fun GPU days of the 90s with VIA, Matrox and other equivalents. Nvidia is 3Dfx now. The Intel i740 is Intel's first discrete GPU not ARC, people forget that. Hopefully, ARC fairs better.

dxvk and d8vk can help with those older titles and sometimes it can draw less power per frame. The Vulkan driver from Intel is where its at. Actually some of the dxvk features have been merged into the driver. This is why CSGO went from 100FPS on launch to 300-400FPS by now and very little stuttering.

I'm ordering one for my new build. Looks like a good budget card, and most of the problems are software issues instead of hardware. I've seen Intel has already made some good improvements in this area and expect them to continue.

If you mean 2K as in ultra wide 1080p, then this card would perform well! The HDMI 2.1 port and 3x DP 2.0 would make a nice pairing! Power wise the card should be able to handle most modern games at medium to high settings!

At $199 for that or the RX6600, it's a toss-up. Do you want better raw performance in newer games and some nice video and raytracing features at the possible expense of performance in older titles, or do you want an all-around experience at the cost of the latter two?
Also, there's power consumption to be concerned about. The A750 does use more power than the RX6600.
I'd personally get the A750, but I wouldn't be dead set on it.

I have. The thing's a beast, especially if you have a 12th or 13th gen Intel processor with an iGPU. Though the 7600 has AV1 encoding/decoding IIRC at $270 as well, I don't know how it compares.

    • @EbonySaints
      @EbonySaints Год назад +1

@BoominFree At 1080p AV1 from Blu-Ray with the quality speed and 20 quality, anywhere from 100 to 240 fps. Older films with a lot of grain and artifacts tend to cause those numbers on the low-end, but modern films usually ended up with 200+ when I transcoded them. The quality compared to a BD rip is near indistinguishable. File sizes were usually what you'd expect from HEVC at the same settings.
