Going from a gtx980 and i7 4790k with a disk drive as a boot to a 6700xt and r5 3600 with an nvme as a boot drive was a wild experience.
Is CPU bottelneck ?

@hajduk split the main issue in my old i7 4790k and Gtx 980 was the slow boot drive...I didn't have time or money to upgrade to an ssd back when my brother handed me down these parts....the 980 and 4790k was a good pair tho...Idk if the 6700xt and r5 3600 is a bottleneck but it's served me well so far.

@@hajduksplit7406 I have both and if you play at lower resolutions yes it bottlenecks. 3600 is great but it lacks singlethread performance when compared to 5th gen. I play mostly MSFS 2020 and it's almost everytime blocked by mainthread. So just ordered a 5600. It seems it is a perfect match for 6700 XT.
As a Sapphire 6700XT user, I am very pleased with my GPU, especially with the vram amount. Playing Microsoft Flight Simulator, I literally use every last gigabyte of those 12 gigs, and if I went with the roughly equivilent 3060 Ti, I would be bottlenecked from running ultra because of the teeny tiny 8 gigabytes it has. My only regret is that I got the standard Sapphire version, and when overclocked it can get a bit loud, but I love the look of the card (and I didn't feel like paying 50 dollars more for the Nitro+ version.
Is 6700xt good for video editing bro when paired with ryzen 5 7600x . I was planning for this build but not gaming and what motherboard ur using. And psu 650 w is enough. Thanks..

I wanna get the 6700XT but my friend told me that paring AMD with intel isn't good and I already bought a i5 11400F so I think I got to just go with the 3060 Ti which is unfortunate
@AcO your friend don't have enough knowledge about how GPU performs, there are no consequences in mixing brand cpu or GPU.
even the 3070 ti has 8 gb vram, and you may have run into issues with the 10 gb 3080 model, which is just crazy to think about. imagine spending $800+ on a gpu to be bottlenecked by it!
I got the 6800XT a couple of days ago. I was having driver issues but after using DDU it worked. I am really happy with my performance and I really recommend AMD cards

@@atcera8714hi, I think you've got some experience in amd cards. I built my new pc yesterday, with an 6700xt, 5800x3d, B550 Msi MB, 750W PS, 32GB 3200 RAM.
The problem is that the 6700 stutters from 2600MHz to 70 and this again and again, especially while making a benchmark or playing games. I started the first round warzone with all these components and already got 40 fps 😢

I got mine (Sapphire Nitro+) like half a year ago, it's awesome, I can't say I haven't had some software related issues, but overall it's a great card, since I don't really care about ray tracing

@@thaido1750Sure, like, I've had a pretty good experience with it in games and light video editing, I'd say that if you can find a 6750XT, which currently costs less than the 6700XT in my country, go for it, if not, you'll still get a pretty good card, it's around 3060Ti ~ 3070 level of performance
I've only had driver related issues like twice over this time, but it was nothing as bad as people usually say, no bsod or nothing like that lol

@@vilgothermansson8570 Well, I've tried WZ2, I've gotten around 100 fps (Native 1440p) with custom settings and a little bit of overclocking and undervolting, it's been great
And I haven't been able to test sons of the forest, but maybe I'll try it later this week when I finish my tests and I'll comment back here my avg fps ;)
Another game that surprised me (for good) was Hogwarts Legacy, I got around 90 FPS at 1440p w/FSR 2 Quality with BenchmarKing's settings

Not gonna lie, I thought this was about to be a video trashing the card because of this or that. As a new 6700xt owner and user, I'm extremely impressed with the capabilities and performance compared to Nvidia cards around the same price.

@@loucipher7782 tbh i went from a radeon hd3850 to a gt610 2gb- from that i went to a strix gtx1080 then to a red devil 6700xt , i fried the 6700xt so replaced it with an kfa2 rtx3090. same pc case, just gradual evolution. the performance jumps were fairly decent.

@@alext4758 I wanna say the performance has nearly doubled in a lot of cases. FH5 went from tankin to 40 on high to staying at 75 on extreme even with the new raytraced reflections
I upgraded from a 570😂 it is insane how much better it is.
rx580 to 6700xt, 580 is still a 1080p powerhouse but the 67 makes gta5 look so pretty in 1440p

5800x3d is peak AM4- im pretty sure you can skip AM5 with that chip, it's a monster.

@@Who_Does I'm using the Sapphire Nitro+ model. No noise issues so far and temps are also good. Baldur's Gate 3 had the highest temp with 55-65°C regular temp and 70-80°C hotspot temp with max settings. I'm mostly playing indie games now so the temps are around 40-55°C max. Go for it, it's an excellent GPU.

Did u receive it hope u play on 1440p cuz even with 11600k there are some garbage console ports out there and like 10 bottleneck in cpu intensive apps or tests.

@@afonsoamaralofficial It's wonderful imo. Playing everything at max settings 1440p minus raytracing. You can play most games on low raytracing and a few on ultra raytracing. Imo raytracing isn't worth it most of the time anyway.
I got the sapphire pulse version after finally putting my 580 to bed. Getting 110 fps on ultra on Cyberpunk was mind blowing to me. Best £300 I have spent in a very long time!

Looking at the prices now, it has crept up since I bought mine, roughly 340 quid now. BUT you get The Last of Us Part 1 remake with it. As stated before, I got the Sapphire Pulse Version. They have always been reliable for me and great performers!

The 6700XT is still probably one of the best cards for the money even still.
7800X3d & 6700XT overclocked (2600mhz min) crushes it at 1440p on Ultra on everything I play, 75fps all day and never gets above 60°C with 75°F ambient.

For me 60-90fps on most games (not newest AAA titles) how is ur card so low temp tho? I usually run at 68-78c gpu temp but hotspot 95-99C
I was using an Asus RX 5600 XT Dual EVO and recently got a RX 6700 XT Red Devil. Quite a difference.
6700xt is really good card.
I used to have the Radeon RX 550 with my prebuilt and a i5 10400f, i recently build a new pc with a Ryzen 5 5600g, 32gb of RAM, a Radeon RX 6700 XT, and an NVME boot drive and the change was monumental, I can not express how happy I am with this build
6700XT >>> (Non Sapphire Nitro)7900 XTX. It’s a controversial opinion, but I’m sticking by it given my experience. More stable when overclocked by FAR. 6700XT is up there with the 4090 as a GOAT for its price,performance and value to the consumer by AMD.
Watching this kind of videos 6 years ago with 1050ti as the main star still gives me the excitement even today with this RX 6700XT. Felt like a PCMR porn to me. Glad My love towards PCMR never change

Yo I went with almost your same setups. Had first a laptop with GTX1650 i5-9300h and switched to a desktop with RX-6700XT and R5-5600X with a QHD 165Hz screen. The sheer jump in performance is simply phenomenal my brotha!

upgraded my 1660 super to a xfx merc 6800 XT for 422 euros, sold my 1660 super for 121 euros. now i just need to upgrade my ryzen 3600 cpu to a 5900x or a 5800x3d and i'm all set. my last upgrade on AM4. i mostly play singleplayer games with frame capped to 75 so this cpu is still good for my use.
5800x3d is an insane cpu, have it in my build with a 6700xt and the performance is incredible. though I do feel like the cpu is being bottlenecked by the 6700xt
Get a 5800x3d, why would you go 5900x? You'd get virtually 0 FPS gain from a 5600x --> 5900x due to unused cores in gaming. That's a productivity chip above all else.

Going from an absolute crap (i3-4th gen laptop) to i5-12400F and RX 6800, it's a dream to be playing any game I want at ultra maxed out settings.
6700XT owners should immediately overclock the core to 6750XT speeds (same exact core) and clock the memory to 2150Mhz, the max it will do. It gets 98% performance of 6750XT. Under volt to keep power use down significantly no hit to performance. The 6750XT is about 7% faster than a $500 4060 ti on average, about the same as a used $250 6700XT OCed.
Card is for 1440P so at 1080P it'll be a beast & most indian gamers doesn't bother about screen size

Exact build I have and it's an absolute Powerhouse. Manages to run Hellblade Ultra with Ray Tracing 1080P 60 FPS.*
I never run Ray Tracing since I can't tell the difference and it just kills performance, so Hellblade on Ultra with RTX Off runs at 144fps

brother have also 6700 xt , did a minor undervolt but even without that 600w was ok for 1080p, using 22.10.3, no problems, didnt updated to better cuz no point for games brother and i play, for games i can play, rx 580, using 22.11.2 also 0 issues

@@delson007. Really good, I had a ryzen 7 5800x beforehand. Clocked my gpu to 2.9k mhz and i can get 144fps on any game 1440p High-Ultra easily

I'm sporting my MSI 6700xt Mech on 2k res with high settings on some games and other games ultra, i don't care about frame rate dips as long as it does not go below 60fps, the card is really great for what its worth :P

@@Sree05 - I agree, the Witcher 3 Nextgen drops frames the same on Hogwarts (hogwarts is much worst) but we can alleviate that through gimping the graphics settings lol

Going from a Nvidia K620 to an RX 580 is insane. From 8 to 75 FPS on Borderlands 3 on Ultra settings.
Got mine over a year ago and its been bang on, paired with a 5600x its keep me above 100fps in alot of games at 1440p :)

Same exact setup for myself and its honestly the best price to performance setup you can possibly go with atm. Especially at 1440p. Most people could just go with this setup and be set for another year or two depending on what they are playing.

After getting my RX 6600 recently, I’ve been loving it. I can play games at 60 - 120 FPS at max settings in games at 1080p.
Combos perfectly with my Ryzen 5 5600G. I have not experienced any bottleneck, even with a board that only supports PCIe 3.0.

I run an RX 6700 for a year. At 1080p it was killer. I recently bought an RX 6800 because I am planning on going 1440p soon and the 6700 struggles a little with some games at 1440. So does the 6800 most likely, just not as bad. 6 gigs of Vram should help a lot. I didn't have a 6700xt, just a plain 6700 with 10 gig.
I've got the 5900X and the Asus Tuf 6700XT. I can do PC/VR games and run other games on 1440p. It was a great upgrade from my RX 580 lol

Just got that exact same model of card today, this video is definitely how I'm lol. Especially since I recently upgraded my CPU (which was a massive bottleneck) from a Pentium G4560 to a R7 3700X.
Enjoy it man , my pc is Rx 570 / Ryzen 5 2600 , at least my power supply is an 650w so i guess it will work fine , i expect to be bottlenecked with this CPU and I'm ok with that for now.
I plan to upgrade Mobo/ CPU soon so at least till there i can finally enjoy games again lol
Just a heads up, those CPU's are known to have memory module issues, so if you start getting errors like:
IRQL_LESS_THAN_EQUAL
KMODE EXCEPTION etc
Just put in an RMA straight away, some of them are just a bit dodgy, don't bother trying to fix it.

I got my new Radeon RX 6800 (non-XT) on 2023-12-22 and I'm very happy with my purchase 😄😃💪 , I know that the XT model is more powerful but I'm happy with the non-XT, I got it for a good price, didn't need to change my power supply, it has 16GB of VRAM, and the RX 6800 non-XT is more than enough for my 1080p 60fps gaming needs. 🤗

ive got a 1050ti(4gb) still and its served me well (60ish fps @1080p medium settings in triple a games and holds well above my monitors 165hz refresh rate at 1080 low in esports games) but im looking to upgrade to the 6700xt or 6750xt (whichevers cheaper this summer) for 1440p(native or ultra-quality upscaling preset) high settings for single player and 240fps low settings 1440p(probably performance or high performance upscaling preset) for shooters
i upgraded from 1050ti ryzen 5 3600 to rx6700xt 3600. You're about to feel heaven in the next 2 weeks when that gpu arrives

How many more years do you think this card has for 1440p high/max settings 60+fps? Im debating if this will last me at least 3-4 years or should I just save up a little more money and go with the 6800xt? Or do you think by the time 3-4 years comes there would be a better choice of GPU for me to get? I currently have a 1060 3gb so I am in need of an upgrade badly especially with all these new titles coming out.
If you're just now buying, I'd go with 6800 XT over 6700 XT. I have a 6700 XT and, OC'd, it does a really good job at 1440p buuutttt.... 3-4 years at high/max settings at 1440p? Prolly not. 1080p yes but not 1440p. I'm planning on buying an 8k series card when they launch unless AMD drops something faster than what they already have for 7k.

I just got the merc 6800xt for $400 used. Absolute beast of a card, love this thing. More than 3x the performance of my GTX 1060.

I'd recommend the sapphire cards or any from the AMD only gpu makers such as xfx, powercolor, asrock, etc.
Asus, Gigabyte, MSI tends to just cheap out on their AMD coolers as they just use the ones from their Nvidia counterpart which might cause problems as theyre designed for Nvidia in mind not AMD
Though Asus might be better than Gigabyte or MSI

My old card is 1650. Like you, I went and bought an RX 6700xt. It is very powerful, but I had some driver problems.
Initially I had problem but later everything is stable and fine.
Did you properly uninstall the nvidia drivers using DDU?
It might conflict with the AMD drivers causing driver problems
Look, I know that this is a meme, but this is genuinely misleading. AMD is not a bad company. They have their bad sides as well, but the most important thing is that they don't think of gamers as people who will be willing to purchase a 4090, will never use non-RTX settings and will always use DLSS because it's definitely such a widely supported feature - and don't use that as an excuse to make underpowered and VRAM unsufficient cards. If you want to get any card above the now becoming obsolete 8GB of VRAM on green team's 40 series line up (the 4060Ti 16GB doesn't count, it's an absurdly badly priced card) then you'll have to spill an MSRP of 600 dollars. While on AMD side, you only have to spill 350.
Please don't buy Nvidia GPUs in 2023, you're missing out on a lot of benefits.

I got the XFX Qick 319 6700XT 12GB (technically codenamed the "Ultra" version since some were Light Hash Rate and this one isn't).
Then I flashed the vBIOS to the XFX Merc 319 BIOS. For whatever reason, I use less watts in games and even when I do use the same wattages, I run at cooler temps at the same fan speeds.

@@cocosloan3748 it’s most def a huge step up from my older card. With my 1660 I could only hope for 60+ fps with no stutter, but most games had screen tearing, and just garbage performance
@@dylanbonilla9884 What CPU you have ? YOu need fast CPU too. On my old Ryzen 1600 the improvement was minimal. Now with my new Ryzen 5600X it pushes the card to the max 😎😎
