It is really strange. We were in Louisiana for some months and it's so fkn wet and humid there was no way for a fire to become a problem. Also I can't remember ever hearing of fires, especially not serious ones in Hawaii...and now see what happened in Maui. And it seems like currently half of Canada is on fire. But still you have ignorant people denying there is a problem with our ecosystem that the stupid greedy behaviour of human beings has caused. They are delusional.

I'm in the central part of Louisiana, and we have had fires popping up all over the place. Smoke is hanging in the air as I'm writing this. Scary beyond words. It definitely doesn't take much for a brush fire to start, like someone being careless throwing a cigarette out a car window or something. However, we did find out last night on the local news that at least one fire was started from a person who ignored the burn ban here. He was burning trash in his yard apparently. Caused two households to lose everything and several acres of ruins.
