I never imagined Louisiana could have wildfires! It’s always so wet and muggy there this is just outlandish
my exact thought , climate change is getting savagely real.
Uk also had one last year. We are in for a ride
You're welcome.
It is really strange. We were in Louisiana for some months and it's so fkn wet and humid there was no way for a fire to become a problem. Also I can't remember ever hearing of fires, especially not serious ones in Hawaii...and now see what happened in Maui. And it seems like currently half of Canada is on fire. But still you have ignorant people denying there is a problem with our ecosystem that the stupid greedy behaviour of human beings has caused. They are delusional.
I moved away from Nola last year. We were starting to get tornadoes when I left.
It is so very dry. Where I am in SE Louisiana we are behind 24 inches of rain so far this year and have had 13 days over 100. Today was 103.5. The drought is much worse in West Louisiana where the worst fires are raging in Beauregard, Sabine and Vernon Parishes.
Its from the CIA controlling the weather

I have lived here for so long and I have never seen the grass this dead! Louisiana normally has green grass almost all-year round! So weird!
I hope everyone is safe.
Yep, it's dry as a bone here. No rain and 100 or above for weeks. Haven't even had a mosquito season, which is nice, but even old growth trees are dying or just very dried out. The air, which is normally humid is dry.
We got your humidity here in N W AZ this year, horrible, but some rain. 😊
@angelofdarkness4479 it really is, it cleans our desert wilderness, when it rains. It's very clean, washes the dust off the tree leaves, and let's them breathe. 5 months of no rain. We welcome it.
Praying for all of them. Family is there now above Houma and they have swamp fires.
I feel like there are a select few states that always go through the worst stuff, Louisiana is one of them.
Speaking as someone born and raised there, Louisiana totally deserves it. Overwhelmingly populated by climate change denialists, racists, homophobes, ignorant third-world regressive attitudes, foisting some of the world's worst people on the rest of the country. Cheers to all the people who'll get to enjoy the fruits of their hatred, and my sympathy only for the minority of people who'll suffer thru no fault of their own.

I been living here in Louisiana for 30 years and have never heard of wildfires here. And some people still don’t want to believe in climate change it has been unbelievably hot and it’s been a while since we had rain. That’s unheard of here cause we’re use to constant rain
Not climate change....read Revelation 8:7
Louisiana literally gets almost 1000 wild fires per year. Just because you live under a rock and don't see them doesn't mean they don't exist. To think that any part of this planet doesn't get fires is moronic.
What can you say, climate change deniers love to say “it’s summer, it’s always been hot” while disregard how hot and how dry it has gotten
They WANT you to believe it's climate change. Please open your eyes to the bigger picture!
Deeply disturbing
Wildfires in Louisiana?!😮 this is crazy
Never heard of it!
Do you not notice, the vast majority of these fires turn out to be manmade. Even Newsom admited it. It's plainly obvious what they're up to. But people believe everything the media tell them like it's gospel.

Its been so hot and dry where i live too! And we havent even had moaquitos at all, which is very weird we always have mosquitos. Weirdly we have had tons of crickets which we never have... Like locusts
In Canada, Kingston area. I've seen but a hand full of mosquitos if that, every year before a healthy amount, none yet, winter is approaching
What part of Louisiana are you in?? I'm in north Calcasieu and we have crickets every year. In 2006 or 2007, we had a wild surplus of them, but otherwise normal before and since. You're dead on about the mosquitoes. It's been nice without them, but considering the circumstances, I think I'd rather spray myself down with OFF.
I am on the border near Louisiana, yesterday the entire sky was just white smoke
The New Madrid fault line will rupture in the very near future. This is a sign to evacuate the entire area immediately!
Unfortunately, welcome to what the west has been forced to deal with for months on end every summer/fall for the past decade because of poor forest management and the gov cutting necessary programs to combat the issues. Maybe now that fires are getting more widespread, our gov and the people will start taking it more seriously.
Let's hope the wind doesn't get whipped up.

The jet stream is stuck in a weird pattern and has been for months. New England is usually dry and brown this time of year. This year though? the grass is as green as it was in May.
Yeah, it's pretty unusual to see the vegetation so lush and green in the summer months. We've had a lot of rain and more tornadoes (mostly EF1) than normal, and it's been muggy most of the summer, but compared to other parts of the country, we got off easy.
The jet stream pattern is also why Canada has been so dry and seen so many wildfires this summer.
@@hanyoukimura It's so weird to see the grass so brown and dead here in Louisiana! The only time that happens, and not always, is during the coldest days of the year!

Very mild up here in the PNW this summer, last summer multiple days of triple digits...I don't recall such a mild summer in the many years I'd been up here
@tommyjuneau6329 Mild here in the PNW?? You must be coastal because it's been hot af where I am up until a week or so ago, and little to no rain. Even when we've had rain, it's been minimal. Then you bring on the many human caused wildfires with smoke choking the air, and it's been pretty hellish here in the PNW.
The only thing that helped us in SoCal was the 5” of rain we got from Tropical storm Hilary. We are used to drought and wildfires unfortunately. God bless those in Louisiana.🙏🏼😔❤️🇺🇸

Some kind of systems should be developed to protect people lives and their properties from all kinds of fires. One of the possible system is a number of sprinklers installed around the properties and connected to a system of water tanks and pumps. The sprinklers can be activated remotely when needed. A microcomputer can also be attached to the pump that activates it when it reaches a certain degree of temperature.
