- Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video we find the new hantu which has received a change to its hidden ability. However it is still so absolutely useless that you should never use it to find out the ghost. So I put myself in danger to find it so you don't have to. ENJOY!

The only time I see the Hantu breath being useful is if it turns off the breaker right before or during a hunt. I’m totally with you on the “sane way” of the Hantu test.

If they're gonna make it so you can only see it with the breaker off, then they might as well make it a lot more obvious since you'll be in great danger. Maybe something else they could do is force freezing breath onto the player if you're in the same room as the Hantu for long enough during a hunt. Even with these 2 obvious changes, it would STILL be better to use the other method, so I see no harm in making these obvious changes.
or if they made it so the hantu could produce freezing breath OUTSIDE of hunt, so ur watching cam and see freezing breath with no player around... OH, its a hantu!
Actual fact:
Hantu means ghost in Indonesia which is not really specific to what ghost it is and actual names for ghosts in Indonesia are
Tuyul (Short ass kid and white af probably american)
Kuntilanak (Litterally like that annoying sibling that can only laugh and cry)
Genderuwo (Like actually 10ft tall and a furry)
Kuyang (Head with its heart and lungs flying around litterally does nothing but you can sell the organs, yes no questions)
Pocong (Ghost thats wrapped in a cloth)
Banaspati (A motherfkn fireball)
Also the power and weakness of Hantu isnt accurate at all
Colder temperature doesnt make Hantu stronger probably the lower our sanity the stronger it becomes since here in Indonesia a lot of people see Hantus and start to panic and scared the longer the Hantu will stay around
same as demon in english and yokai in japanese

Now the ghosts can sense your equipments at larger distance , this makes faster ghosts like revenant,raiju , hantu even more scarier.
They should increase a bit of freezing breath to be bit more obvious and increase time duration since there is no way I can see that depending on other people monitors brightness. I still cannot see Hantu's breath. It is very neat feature.
Strangely, I was thinking about the Hantu last night and thought that its hability should be that instead of speeding up, it should slowy slowdown the player in cold room (and the player speed slowly returns to normal in warm room). For the player it would be a change of mindset because you don't have to focus only on the ghost behaviour but also on yourself condition.
Man I remember the time when Insym was a small youtuber/streamer, but day after day he grew so much, damn, it's such a good feeling seeing someone you like achieving huge goals. Almost 600k is insane. Congrats for the big channel insym, just wanted to thank you for all your work all these years!!

Insym, can you please do an updated ghost guide (like their abilities and weaknesses) for us new players and also some tips for no evidence runs? I tried those but i don’t quite understand enough yet😅

The only time I ever saw the Hantu's breath was playing Nightmare on Edgefield.
The ghost room was the laundry room. The hunt started and as it was crossing the threshold into the kitchen it let out a puff of fog and that was how I was able to figure the ghost type.
The Hantu's ability should have been to make the entire house cold during a hunt with the breaker off. It would be obvious but also risky.
Maybe the breath would be better if it happened during ghost events too (only full manifests).
Not that it’s needed, a hantu is often pretty obvious during a hunt.

I think they need to change the myling! They should make it You cannot hear the ghost at all in a hunt No voice no footsteps noting! That would make the ghost scary
When I started playing I managed to successfully loop a Hantu. I was SO CONFIDENT and proceeded to try and loop the round after… naturally, I failed.

HAHAHAHAHA I watched this and didn’t believe a word of it until we just got fingies and freezing temps on Nightmare. Juked a ghost around a table and sure as shit there was the breath! Nice one!
I just now came up with a ghost idea... one that revolves around heat instead of cold, similar evidence to the Hantu, & instead of looking for freezing breath you're looking for dripping water from sweat, this ghost will never blow out candles or fires, so it's also kind of an opposite to the Onryo as well, gets faster/stronger the hotter it is/around flames. Orbs, "Freezing Temperatures" (I'd change this to "Abnormal Temperatures" bc of this ghost), & EMF (no ghost has this combination).... what do you think so far? Anything about this you would change? Just tossing ideas out there that could possibly be added in some way for the future to make this game even crazier/more fun.

They should really add the Phi Tai Hong (from Thai folklore) into this game. All I'm going to say is that if the devs add it and implement it properly, even Insym will be absolutely terrified.

I came back to this game after a while, but this game is unplayable... On my rtx (either on lowest or highest settings) I am experiencing low framerates and stutters, to the point the game freezes every time I load a map, and ghost does crazy sh*t... Not only that, I've tried to play it, but it's too challenging, dying every time. Last game I have tried everything in the ghost room, but zero evidences except freezing temperatures. Though, I know how to play this game (I've played it a lot year ago), even on normal difficulty or easy game likes to just spawn a ghost right where I stand and kill me instantly. Sad for me, truly wanted to enjoy christmas event, but it's not working either, we tried everything and watched some videos on youtube, but nothing workes with the cookies

What if for the Hantu they softened the footsteps as the speed increased? Rationalizing it as quieter walking from walking on snow? (I know snow is crunchy)

I don't know if you know but there are a pair of glowing eyes on one of the farmhouse in the first floor bathroom mirror. Don't know if it's all the time tho.

This isn't useless entirely. Yes the Hantu doesn't speed up but with custom difficulties the breaker can be broken, and with cold rooms and a fast ghost with none or only 1 evidence given, you're only going to stay alive with smudge sticks trying to figure out ghost. is it a Rev, a mimic, a hantu, or any other fast ghost in a scenario where you may have to start out with 40% Sanity or lower without the time needed to do a full personality check of what ghost it is that is on the constant hunt. Very extreme scenario but still with a chance to figure out Hantu thanks to this change. Definitely not useless but yes in a regular game constantly turning off the breaker and not speeding up are dead give aways
Why not make it so if the hantu is near you whilst it's hunting you can see your breath, even if you're not in the ghost room?

For me I turn the breaker on as soon as I enter because it only takes about 30 seconds at most. I don't think I've had a scary encounter with a Hantu and this update was almost pointless including the breath feature on the patch notes. If they wanted a scary Hantu I feel like they should maybe add a power where the Hantu can absorb cold from its ghost room and can use it to have a second or 2 burst of sprint which it could either do at a random point or in Line of sight. That would be my personal change because it isn't scary enough unless you don't turn on the breaker. plus it would be amusing to watch a ghost go 0 to 600 during a chase or hunt.

I really enjoy your videos and follow your daily releases ever since I found you here on youtube, you are awesome both as a person and as a content creator. But if you don't mind a criticism: the 10-15 seconds long intro-tease you do at the beginning of each video only works well with new / random games. I think you should drop it for series, such as Phasmophobia. I'd like the game scenes and your reactions to catch me off-guard, for hype and excitement, instead of watching like "here we go, now comes the teased part". Your series-videos are lots of fun with intro-tease too, but would be waaaaay better without them.

How come every first game I play I get the thye and it IMMEDIATELY hunts me and I die. It’s happened 4 days in a row since the update, not events, no interactions, just instant hunt and death no matter where I hide. After that first round my gameplay is normal.
Man, this game gets darker and darker with time, it will probably be just a black screen in the future.

It's a pity that they blocked Russian IPs and because of this I can't get an exclusive trophy, card and badge. The developers wrote that people tried to use VPN, but unfortunately this did not help me.
