Come puffin-spotting with me at RSPB Fowlsheugh in Aberdeenshire

  • Every year I like to come to RSPB Fowlsheugh near Stonehaven to see the auks. My favourites are the razorbills...or the bridled guillemots...I'm not quite sure! It's always exciting to spot the few puffins that hide out on the cliffs too.
    This year we caught sight of a pod dolphins (Bottlenose I think) and a great auk. Both were an excellent surprise.
    Oh and I did stay dry! It was a rare win for the weather forecast!

      Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I always feel lucky to spot the puffins as there aren't that many at Fowlsheugh. Definitely a good day!

    what a waterfall!! funny how pretty places can have off putting-names - Fowlsheugh sounds like a dry heave

      So true! I've never noticed before! Fulmars vom on predators so it just makes me think of that now.
