  • I visited Stirling back in November but I had real issues uploading this video...at least we're finally here now.
I loved Stirling. I stayed in the Stirling Highland Hotel, primarily because it had character, it was in the centre of the city AND it has a spa. It was close to the castle, the jail and the start of the ghost walk which were all things I wanted to go and see. The walk to The Wallace Monument via Cambuskenneth Abbey from the hotel is about one hour and until you get to the monument it's pretty flat. The Abbey is shut in the winter months so it's the only thing from this trip that I need to go back and explore. There's plenty to do though and I definitely want to return and explore more of the area.

Funny to see scaffolding, I thought you'd only see it in Florence everywhere... And what a sunny weekend!

😅 It's a shame, but it's always good to see old buildings being cared for...and it gives me reasons to go back!

Hadn't thought of it recently but it really is incredible in a world filled with iPads & smartphones that the touch screens at stations are as reactive to human touch as a sloth on heavy dental sedatives
that feeling of tapping a letter from several different angles & nothing happening 😅

😊 I thought Stirling station was super pretty, a great start to the visit.
Yeah, I thought that might be the case with Cambuskenneth. There's something about a locked gate/door though...everything behind it seems 10x more exciting!
