Grackle Solo travelling with so much confidence is testament to how fighting and challenging anxiety and fear over and over again, eventually leads to it no longer being a fear! So proud of you Grace as I remember how homesick you used to get just being away from the family household for just one night! Go girl 💪❤️ the world is your oyster 🙌🙌🙌
I'm so proud of you Grace, I remember a few years ago when being away from home and your family for a night was such an overwhelming thing for you and now you're a world traveller! Well done for overcoming your fear!
As someone who lives in cambridge, just putting it out there that no matter the weather, the queue for Jack's gelato is always mahoooosive!
shut up Lauren, go to Arbury and say that.... Sure the roadmen would like to buy you a gelato
I still have never been there yet and I have lived in Cambridge my whole life. I definitely will be going there eventually though!
Thank you so much for your new series. I love it and it lets me "visit" places I would never get to see in real life. So much enjoyment. Your are a jewel of a travel guide. Keep it up!
I cried through most of the vlog 😂😭 I lived in Cambridge as an au pair a while back and I have so much love for that place ♥️♥️ I was so happy there and miss it so much. Thank you for taking me back to all of my favorite places 🥹
Loved this - you should come to Exeter... you drive past it when heading to Cornwall. It's often overlooked for that reason, but it is a beautiful/historic city to live in, as I do, and visit.
Oh dearie ... a walking tour with other people is lots of fun!!! You're very social and friendly, I think you'd have a wonderful time. You hear some very interesting information and people ask questions about things you may not have thought of .... try & get over the trepidation and try one!
I live 45 mins away from Cambridge I have moved this way about 19 years ago as I met my darling husband. I've not been to some of those places you showed . Makes me want to go and explore the city . I've been to a few of the museums . The polar explorer one is on my list. Love your videos. I'm a 43 women and I love how amazing and true you are . God bless.x
"Everywhere I looked in Cambridge felt like I was in a movie set. Honestly, (I) can't imagine how it feels to actually go to Cambridge university. That must be so surreal because you're literally where so many people dream to go. And it's just so beautiful, literally, everywhere you turn." Thank you for putting into words how I felt as a Cambridge alum. You have such a good on-screen persona. Keep the videos coming!
I love how you look in that red jumpsuit: you don’t often wear read but it suits you so well. Thank you for showing Cambridge; my travelling years are over, but I like seeing places through other people’s eyes. That app looks so useful!
Phonetically L’Occitane is lox-ee-tan
Cambridge is stunning
Thank you, I feel quite silly saying it wrong all this time. Tbh everyone around me says it wrong too
@@marlajacques6947 We have a local store and I only got it from asking the people who run that. It’s definitely not obvious
Oh Grace, that was so well done! The editing was very good. You showed us so many beautiful places. (And yes, you pronounced poo-TEEN very well. --emphasis on last syllable). Hugs from Canada!
Grace you must do a free walking your one day!! They're amazing, the guides are so passionate about the place, so many fun facts & recommendations. I do them alone & people generally keep themselves to themselves
Fantastic video, Grace!
The hotel, museums and food looked amazing...
Oh yes. This is exactly what I needed today, it’s been a rough week and I’m so needing a hangout with Grack. Thank you for being you.
Very helpful video. You are one of two RUclips bloggers that I always ref prior to travelling (for your frank and unbiased recommendations on both eateries and accommodation) .
Also there are four types of hotel, (forgetting the obvious crappy and badly run type!) The old, periodic, gold gilded, ostentatious ones - The plain non descriptive company motorway ones, The privately 'one off' ones, and The modern boutique tasteful furnished interior ones. (The latter being personal preference).
Come on hotel chains!.... put some money into it and come out of the dark into the light of the 21st century!.
So happy for this new series! Can’t wait for the next “episode”
Love this series so far!
Having my flat feature in a grack video is my claim to fame. Plus the college I live at! 😊😊😊😊
If you ever come to Canada you’ll have to try the OG poutine here… the Cambridge one did look amazing! 🍁
I love a solo travel working tour, a great way to meet new people and learn about your surroundings plus get good tips for the experts x
Ahhh I live here and you have now showed me new amazing things to try, that’s my weekend sorted!! Yay x
aww i think these are definitely main channel content!!
Excellent choices for food! Jack's gelato is simply top notch! And bread and meat is my favourite!
Hotel looked great! The burrito bowl looked delicious wouldn’t mind the chips too- feeling hungry now! Solo travelling you are super brave!
The apple tree is at Woolsthorpe Manor, Newtons home in Lincolnshire. Now part of the National Trust.
I have been watching you for years and it is so strange watching you be in Cambridge. That's where I am from and grew up. I loved seeing it through your eyes. I went to school in central Cambridge (Hills Road) and have taken all of this for granted my entire life. I hope you enjoyed yourself. The parking is abysmal though. We tend to use the Park and Ride buses most of the time. 😊
Travelling like you is so much fun!
the "pou" in poutine is pronounced like "pu" in pudding and then "tin" like tinfoil, or atleast thats how we say it in montreal which is more frenchy than rest of canada (but also where it originated from so im gonna say it's the correct pronunciation lol). lovely video :)
Work, come home, travel with Grace! 💞
Proud of her for going on solo trips!
So happy to see this! I'm going to Cambridge tomorrow for the weekend and I'm so excited!
aaahh my hometown
My mums from Cambridge and as someone from New Zealand I find myself in awe everytime i visit
What happened to 24 hours in Brighton yesterday? Also how about 24 hours in Derbyshire?
Omg so glad I’m not going insane. I knew i seen a new Grack vid the other day 😂
Same!
I saw on her insta story the other day that she uploades the wrong file so I guess she's still editing those for later 😊
@@jits1190 ah cool thanks for the info!!!!! ❤️❤️
6:47 The real tree is in Woolsthorpe Manor and still even produces apples I'm pretty sure (although it did get struck by lightning).
As a Canadian I can vouch for that poutine (poo-tin) …it’s pretty authentic looking 😉 😋 🇨🇦
Loving this series! Well, I enjoy all your videos
This channel is Amazing!
Really enjoyed this! Thanks, Grack! xxx
I virtually waved hello watching this from my house in Cambridge 😂
I am in the US, but used to work for a department out of Toronto. I asked my Toronto coworkers where to get the best poutine, and one said, "Costco!" So I tried it there, and it was pretty good, actually!
my home town 🥳🥳 so glad you loved it
Omg yes! A new Grackle video :)
What happened to the Brighton one yesterday or the day before?
I asked the same!
Someone said she told on insta that she uploaded the wrong file. I wondered, too!
@@peppermint1bd that makes more sense! I thought I was going crazy for a couple seconds haha
@@imjustaferretsir920 I even looked up Brighton news to see if something had happened there! 😣
Cambridge is my home town, its quite a special place
My hometown. This makes me so happy
I really enjoy these even though I know I will never make it over the pond to visit these places.
I would love to see you try the local traditional meals/food of the places you visit and hear your reviews on them :)
You should visit Lincoln, Norwich and York!x
Oh my home town, my mum used to work at the Fitzwilliam as a gallery assistant x
Could you recreate that breakfast fo us Grack??please please
Enjoyed this one as I live just outside Cambridge ♥️
Welcome to my home city! Never clicked on a video so fast 😅❤️
Oooh this is so fun! You should do Edinburgh! Such a beautiful city and I’m hoping to go this year so would be great to see what you think :)
I know she did one there because it was the very first vlog I watched of her 😃
I used to work at Jack's! I left a week before you came, absolutely gutted to have missed you 😩
Cambridge = Morse for me. (If you know you know.) I never made it there but am forever hopeful that I'll be able to. I'm even more determined since getting to share your time there. What a great way to spend 24 hours.
It would be really useful to know how much the hotel was and the food etc
Hotel rates are forever changing, if you’re interested she showed the hotel, have a read up yourself.
Loving the series
I loveeeee this series!
Smokeworks seems to be hit or miss, certainly was a miss for me.
Bread and Meat was great!
Highly recommend Maison Clement on Hills Rd, amazing bread and pastries 👌
You should have tried the markets, they have such amazing food from all around the world
Thank you much love xx
Loved the vibe of this Video:)
I used to work in Cambridge. The one in Massachusetts. Lol
The sequel lol
Hi Grace, I discovered you about 2 months ago and I just wanted to let you know, you are my new comfort youtuber. Your videos bring me so much joy. You're such a genuine person and your video are just so warm and cozy 💛
Enjoyed this. Hope you do oxford and brighton
I really enjoy your travel vlogs
If you go to Cambridge again please do a guided punting tour, it’s so worth it
where was the burrito bowl from
Love this episode! What was the app you used for the guided tour?
You should come to North Norfolk, we have tonnes of great beaches and beach towns 🥰
The brand "L'occitane" is pronounced : lokseetan (tan like when you stay in the sun and get a tan).
And the o is a really rounded French o (if you're learning French maybe you know words like: hôpital, hôtel, de l'eau)
You really could be a travel journalist/writer
🥰 Hi Grace
Omg I can’t believe you were in Cambridge and I didn’t get to see you 😩
Best youtuber ever!
That was creepy AF. You went in multiple places I work or have worked at! Including walking past my office base.
Interesting seeing Cambridge as a tourist. I never go to any of the restaurants etc so have no idea what’s here.
Hi ! What's the app you used for the guided walk ? Hope you're well 🙂x
What hotel was this please Grace???
That outfit looks great on you!
Does anyone know the name of the narrated walking tour app?
ETA Never mind! VoiceMap! Thanks Grace 😂
Great video thanks x
Grack what is the app!! I’m going travelling in a few weeks it would be so helpful!
She writes later that it's called "VOICEMAP." 🙂
I need to know the name of the app!!!! ☺️
She writes later that it's called "VOICEMAP." 🙂
Poutine is one of life's small pleasures.
You gotta try poutine from the province Of Quebec!
:)
Loksitan
pooteen :)
I love you 😍
That shower tray is from a mortuary.
Wait the chair is for watching you in the bath...? what part of onlyfans is this on ...lol...
She was joking! 🤣🤦🏼♀️
You can get chips cheese and gravy at most chip shops !
I work in Porthleven 🥹🧚🏼♀️
I am both a student at Cambridge and have lived here all my life - it has such a different vibe to anywhere else in the UK, everyone is so friendly and calm, much love for Cambridge
you been to chesterton, arbury, barnwell or cherry hinton??? XDDD lets see if everyone is nice and friendly there.
@@archiesweeney4948 I live around them areas so yeah definitely not quite the same as other parts XD
:)
Hi Grace, you should consider visiting some less touristy places in the UK to show everyone what there is to see off the beaten track. I live in Leicester and we have cool museums, the tomb of Richard III, amazing indian food (really unique cuisines like indo chinese and gujarati), The Tiny Bakey (bit of you!), canals and parks, big festivals (like diwali, englands oldest comedy festival and navratri) and we now have the tallest piece of street art in Europe! Happy to show you around if you ever want to come:)
YES! Going to Cambridge for the first time this weekend!!! SO PUMPED that you got to go and now I have all these recs
Grack, I went to Cambridge for my PGCE and can confirm a trip to Jacks was a regular study break whatever the weather. They even do a secret flavour everyday which you can ask to try! So so glad you loved it 🥰❤️
Grace and her excellent adventures! Perfect, relaxed, peaceful, interesting browse around beautiful Cambridge. Hot here in Texas too. The pacing of this video was just right for hot weather. Glad you found really good places for meals. The gelato of dreams was a happy surprise. Wonderful video. Thanks, Grace.
Thank you love your channels and you too!!💖😘💗🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hey this is where I live! For people looking in the comments- I highly recommend Heffers and the box room cafe for board games!!
Also did you look for the tiny doors?
