I know this is an old post but I hear ya. I was 10 in 92. Things were so much easier back then. Life was much more simple. I am stuck in the 99s. They were great. Loved coming home from school, mom would have a snack for us and would sit down and watch cartoons (after homework of course) lol. Then dinner and it was a ritual. We would all watch alf, blossom them fresh prince. It was bedtime before Seinfeld came on. Parents would watch that and mash. Still remember laying in bed hearing the theme song to mash. Man what I wouldn't do to go back to those times.
I know the feeling. I still had my dad in 1992.I wish could go back to 1992 and start over because I was a teenager then too and was just starting to come in to my own.
I have been looking for years for commercials from the Pueblo/Colorado Springs area and I have to say Thank you for uploading these. Its great to see classic local commercials from my area.
Millennials don't realize how big Fox was in pop culture; and do they even make chewing gum ads anymore? Thanks Dave, you're hitting them out of the park!
Chewing gum was the original appetite suppressant. It gave your mouth something to do while you worked. Food is cheaper now (in relative terms) so you can eat more which explains why we are fatter now. Thinking back on it, cigarettes were/are an appetite suppressant too because it gave your hands, mouth and brain something to do. I'll wager the smart phone will be outlawed after the health professionals determine that looking at a phone all day kills people...soon we will just insert chip in our brain that is designed to stimulate dopamine.
@@billschlafly4107 Jesus, now I realize why my mom kept chucking that stuff at me when hungry ( we super poor) and damned if I couldn't resist eating it still being a kid
1981 here, wouldn’t take it back for the world but the clothes hair and most importantly my glasses would have been completely different if I would have been born in the 90’s, thus saving me a lot of ridicule and heart ache. I was def still living the 80’s well into the mid 90’s and got hell for it every single day....
This looks like this is from November 15, 1992. If I remember correctly, "Married... with Children" aired on Sunday nights. The ad for "Home Alone 2" which was released on Friday the 20th of that year and the promos for "The Simpsons" and "Martin" also support this assumption because "The Simpsons" aired on Thursday nights between late 1990 and spring 1994.
If I could time travel, I'd have a lot of fun. It's funny to think though that my kids will look back and be nostalgic about 2017, 2018, 2019 and even 2020.
The 90’s in Sweden was not that cool, everything was pretty ugly and basic. But I miss it. I miss the ironic weird games, tv shows and music. I miss how laid back it was. I remember how weird America looked compared to Sweden. 😂
Love these retro commercials, I was only 2 years old back then lol. Just turned 30 in October and it's so fun watching all this as an adult, thanks for another great one Dave! 🙌🏽
That similar kids stuffie commercial, the sound effect was so lame then ha ha, you can hear it in the way it just nnnRRRRRRUUUUUU's in your ear, man parents must have hated that after a week.
I LOVE the "fights cavities!" How?... it pulls the food that's stuck in ur teeth out so the soda you drink after... sugars don't stick in the food that stuck in the crevices of ur teeth! Lmado Mann... I miss these times
3:45 Holy shit you have no idea the flashback I just had from watching that. I must have been about 5 years old trying to explain this ad to a older boy, asking if he had seen the same thing on tv. At the time I thought it was Micheal Jordan Vs Godzilla (I'm Australian). I even made a crappy drawing on the back of a manila folder of Godzilla falling into the building to better explain what happened. He didn't end up believing me and thought I had just made it up or had a dream, thanks for vindicating my 5 year old self! If only I had youtube 28 years ago.
1992 was the second worst year of my life next to 2020, but I would jump at the chance to go back. 1996-1999 was my happiest time. After 9/11 things always sucked, but nothing like this.
Can you all help me trying to remember a commercial? I think it was a diet soft drink commercial but I'm not sure. It's where people were being caught like fish and hung up like prize catch marlins, it aired sometime in the mid 1990s but I'm not 100% sure. Any help you can be in jogging my memory would be great, thanks!
Whoa they really pushed that chew gum after eating in the early 90's and I remember now! I guess it's smart to chew for maybe a minute but my God anything to sell a product haha.
How did I not kno about Dinoroars???!☹️ Now i want one....well at least I know what I want Santa to get me off of eBay 😂 Holy shitzies were there a lot of gum ads or what! I can’t remember seeing any in ages!!! Ya know we’ve become jaded when u see a dude and there’s a chart going up right behind him, and ur surprised when it’s ^not^ a Viagara ad😂😂😂

Yah he says he's got a lot of money in the bank but lets be honest, aside from this and B movie cameos? What is he really doing, he must have needed coin, given he's trying standup, which while you can be known as funny in your persona, but its the final act of desperation, self ridicule of ones character persona, although I will give credit, no one is more wholly of that as a person, than Mr.T, pretty much the same guy performing or not
With covid and all the bs going I would do anything to go back to 1992 when I was 11 years old..

@Vgp-rp4iu You can say that again, funny thing I was just watching Alf on Peacock tonight...
Yes I would rather be in 1992
Would I rather be back in 1992???? Heck yes!!!! 14 years old, completely innocent, and still had my father and three brothers to talk to .

Funny how we used to run and get a snack while these commercials came on, and now, we are watching them while having a snack. 90's; such a great era.

I don't remember those BK dinner baskets. They must have been short-lived. They actually looked good!
Didn't they though? I was blown away by that variety of options for a fast-food burger chain
Nice.
Great year! I graduated High School that year.
Man I had one of those fisher price dinosaurs, I loved that thing.
I can see why as kids but hearing it through the ad as an adult, ugh, sounds awful!
Good.

Cool 😎🆒️.
Yes, 1992 was great!
Wow, I had one of those Dino-Roars toys. I had completely forgotten about that.
No offense but, that sound effect was terribly cringe, don't you find now in retrospect?
Oh.
"He's not a vampire, he's an umpire! Arrrggghhhh!"

Oh yes of course, how could I forget famous improv comic Mr. T?
Quite easily after what I just saw. Poor guy cratered.

That Mr. T set at the end was just so cringe but so awesome at the same time.

Oh god, A&E Evening at the Improv....I remember in the early 1990s almost every channel had a a stand up comedy show.
