literally perfect timing, I was talking with a friend about wanting to get into digital art using CSP, but I found the UI intimidating. saving this for later and I'll definitely share it around!
Same here, just got it recently and still learning things on my own. Got into watching videos like this for some help haha, this is by far the most in-depth/covering one so far.

I've been working with design for 5-6 years. A few days ago I first heard about CSP, now I'm watching this and doesn't understand how people still use Photoshop and Procreate for drawing while this app exists. Thank you so much, guide is amazing!
I've had csp for a while now but I never got to learning it properly so I've just been using the basic tools. Thank you for making this!!! (and also thank you for making it interesting to watch by being conversational :0)
this has to be the most comprehensive tutorial for ANYTHING i've ever seen! makes picking up CSP not only a little easier to understand but also more tempting to try out lmao
as some one who easily gets overwhelmed with technology , discovering this video of yours is such a game changer , especially how you provided specific time stamps and categorization . THANK YOU SO MUCH
This was extremely helpful, thank you! I didn't realize how many steps I'd been taking just copy-pasting layers/increasing selections. I learned a lot!
3 minutes in and I really love your delivery, lol. So many of these digital painting tutorials are so dry, but you inject a lot of humor and life in yours.
This video is amazing. I loved it so much. It was like sitting in a classroom, I was even taking notes on the things I found most useful just to keep them in mind. Transitioning from pen and paper to digital has been a struggle for me, but it was time to modernize. This video helps immensely, it should be literally pinned to clip studio's front page. Thank you so much for the help! You are wonderful~
My Mom bought me csp for Christmas about a year ago and have been too afraid to use it. Thank you for making this video. It's helping a lot with someone who's only used Photoshop for years
i felt super confident with photoshop, but because i can't keep up with the updates/terrible sub prices, ive been trying to get better at csp and the trial and error isn't going too hot.. hoping this guide helps give me the confidence to better use the app! thank you for this long guide!
Thank you so much for this! It was educational and funny. I never had any idea how to start learning this program, it was overwhelming seeing the amount of options but this made it simpler to begin!
Thank you so much for making this video! I've been using csp for some time now and despite trying different features and tools here and there I didn't have a clear structure of it. RUclips recommended this vid just in time
I know I'm two years late, but adressing thing at 4:13, you can go to preferences > interface > use application frame on mac. I hope this helps someone
The only damn video i found good+ interesting+helpful like crazy + easy to understand wasn't in suggestion when i searched for tutorial and after watching so many tutorial video and leaving them halfway cause it was all flying above my head i found youuu # This blessed VIDEO FINALLY SOMEONE WHO COULD EXPLAIN ME THE EASY WAY SLOWLY SLOWLY WITH THE BASIC AND WITH EXAMPLES!!!!!!!!!!! TYSM *lol me re reading my emotional ass comment to check if I'm not going overboard*
Got into digital painting this month tried PS it wad just frustrating trying to adjust some things here and there and seemed so labrous decided to check for easy tutorials for CSP and ur a God send and CSP is really had a friendly interface once you understand
Thank you.... it was getting overwhelming. My favorite part is you saying, "If you don't know what you're doing... mess with this." ABSOULUTELY WONDERFUL!
omg thank u for the tutorial 😢i could not find one person that has the huion tablet a macbook and clip studio paint !!! i have all three and i needed this tutoriallll thank youuuuuuuuu
33:40 I use this to not go past the lineart set as a reference layer, it's pretty useful. but you also need to set up the tolerance not to 0, because it can look bad as you'll have white pixels
Thank you so much for this ;A; i have been using CSP for a long time but have struggled to find a good and comprehensive tutorial. this is exactly what i needed to help me!!
Just perfect. I just pick CSP up, and litterally don't know what's in the box. Even homepage don't have any introduction about their production. Luckily you got our back!
Yay you're alive! So far csp made me ditch Photoshop completely and the 3d tool is like a portable mannequin its almost like cheating with how easy it is to use
Thank you for this tutorial! gonna study hard and learn. I love using Paint tool sai for many years but I do feel it's a little too archaic now and lacks so many features you can do in photoshop and clip
Just what I was looking for, without needlessly dragging every little bit out. Just going over what everything is, cause it is a bit overwhelming to start with. Might have to take it in 2-3 viewings, even though it's much smoother watching than most.
ivge used clip studio for a while but this is a good refresher after dropping it for a while (cause the lack of border made me so mad sfter upgrading my laptop @ 3:48)
I have a 5 year trial from buying my wittle art tablet. I never had one before and i am remorseful about that. im getting decent with it and would have been way more experienced if i had sooner. but i did at least and have been learning.
Will you be making an updated video for CSP 2.0? Especially now that there are subscription options? Pretty good ones IMO only 24.99 annual for the pro version as compared to photoshops horrendous prices.
How do you find the drawing area on the tablet? Is it really small in your opinion ? I work on a huion 24-in screen on my PC. But I need like a tablet for like taking with me to sketch. Would it be hard to get used to working on a small screen??
Hello! I just had a question because I am on a macbook air and my huion drawing pad will not draw, I have tried many youtube tutorials but they are outdated, please help before I break my screen, thank you!
I'm literally just brought csp yesterday so I'm like super beginner lol this is super helpful for me, thank u!! Also one question I'm not sure if you talked about it and I missed but how can I save my artwork in different folders? Cuz I'm super confused about it TT
I used to use Procreate. Yeah it's a simple app, easy to use but it lacks a bunch of functions that I normally would use. There's a layer limit, no navigator panel, anything out of canvas is cropped, toggling layer is in the history state, etc. Personally, I find it super frustrating 😅
i'm litterly watching this because using csp is more comfortable than Photoshop, but sometimes i'm using PSD to drawing, this Tutorial acctualy make me sleep if watching this 1 hour full...... but this help me more know about CSP
One question .. when i have a spray and increase the size of the brush .. the particles get bigger aswell .. how do i keep the particles the same size and just cover a bigger area ?
i dont know if its only me , but i feel the interface for clip studio paint is a little bit messy , compared to photoshop.. whats really the different then betweeen these 2 software. is it worth migrating to clip studio paint after photoshop?
Photoshop focuses on photography, but CSP starts out as a drawing/painting tool. They both wind up in a similar place, but Photoshop is WAY too expensive, with their subscription based service. I took classes in Photoshop and every year would have to buy the 'upgrade' for some outrageous amount. Now they rent it to you for the price of renting a room (almost). I learned more in the first ten minutes of this video than six months of rooting around in the software on my own. Fabulous instruction on how this beast works. CSP is to paper and pencil or brushes as a pair of shoes is to a 747. Brava!

RUclips knows what u want and what are u doing cuz ur data (camera, audio, apps cash, search history...) already sold

How to manage vectors vs raster, and how to adjust sharpness of raster when changing size to smaller size

This is definitely the funniest clip studio paint tutorial I've found so far. Thank you 🤣🤣
This was extremely helpful, thank you! I didn't realize how many steps I'd been taking just copy-pasting layers/increasing selections. I learned a lot!
43:00 was EXTREMELY USEFUL! thank you so much!
All your explanation of each brush setting was amazing, I've never seen anyone at that level of detail. Thank you so much!

This so helpful and amazing! I really appreciate your candor and straightforwardness, perfect for what I needed! :3
Thank you for the guide. I just started using the program because I was interested in the 3D model assets to help me draw in perspectives :)
Hyped to see.

Thank you for the easy explanation but I wish you could do a Video for Animation!!

NEW VIDEO BY SAMI JEN ???? POG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great video. thank you!
9:42 what tool are you using to move just the orange circle? When I use the hand tool, it’s moving both layers, orange and blue circle. 😅
Use the "Move Layer" tool, the shortcut is "V". Its icon is arrows in 4 directions, you can see it highlighted on the left in the video :D
thank you for the video, it full of helpful information.👍
You are a true life saver
I have a 5 year trial from buying my wittle art tablet. I never had one before and i am remorseful about that. im getting decent with it and would have been way more experienced if i had sooner. but i did at least and have been learning.
CMYK sliders/pallet ensures you’ll get predictable color results in 4-color offset printing 😉

great
You a comedian, I like it...
if I use an ipad,do I need to connect it with a laptop while drawing with CSP?pleasee tell me I'm desperate 😭😭
Clip Studio has an iPad app! You don't need a laptop BUT it's a monthly sub, no lifetime license for iPad.
on the dot settings can i add my custom dots
I'm literally just brought csp yesterday so I'm like super beginner lol this is super helpful for me, thank u!!
Also one question I'm not sure if you talked about it and I missed but how can I save my artwork in different folders? Cuz I'm super confused about it TT
are you using on ipad or pc?
@@samijen ipad but don't worry I figured it out, by accident lol but ur vid was super helpful, thank u:)

Any way to reopen the tablet calibration that shows up first time you open CSP? I may be getting a screentablet soon and will have to calibrate again.
File > Pen Pressure Settings
or on Mac it's: CLIP STUDIO PAINT > Pen Pressure Settings
while having a canvas open, or else the option is greyed out
If you use iPad Pro, why not use Procreate instead? I find CSP to be cumbersome in UI. Higher learning curve vs Procreate. Ya think?
I used to use Procreate. Yeah it's a simple app, easy to use but it lacks a bunch of functions that I normally would use. There's a layer limit, no navigator panel, anything out of canvas is cropped, toggling layer is in the history state, etc. Personally, I find it super frustrating 😅
More confused than ever after watching this. THX.

Just a heads-up, the Login Bonus was removed 2 weeks ago at least. I was logging in every day for 10 days, and the 11th day the bonus was removed.
