    Why 'm' sounds like 'b' in what and 'n' sounds like 'd' in who?

      Flaming Unicorn it's because of nasal sounds. They use it a lot :D
      When you cover your nose m sounds like d and so on heh. That's why.

    I'm glad I found your channel! it's so helpful. Can you do a video on some Korean endings? Like I know -은 데 - 같아 and of course -요. but I don't really have a clear understanding of -든 and -는 걸. I was searching through your videos and haven't seen any like this yet.

    I don't understand why the sentences ended in 니 I though that it should be 요 like in casual and with out it like in slang

      Eryel -chan 요 is formal/ polite
      니 Is informal. Like what you would say to a friend

      You can't add 요 right after 니, if you want to add 요 you have to erase 니 and attach -어요/-아요. :)

    Ah, I love this kind of video... So if I got it right, in Korean, the 5W1H words are always placed after the object of the sentence, and at the start if there is no subject or object?

      Hannah there are a couple of different ways to say "what", including 뭐, 무슨 and the one mentioned in the vid :) sorry for my poor explanation, i'm definitely not fluent or anything but i hope i helped clear it up

      For example, instead of 있었니? you can say 있었습니까? or instead of 하니? - 합니까?

    At the end of a syllable, I realised there is a ‘ss’ double constant which isn’t pronounced like “ss” which we think is sounded like that
    What is the actual pronounciation of that

      I’m Your Hope Im your angel I’m Jhope it’s pronounced « ss » except when at the ending of a syllable and followed by a consonant, in this case it’s pronounced like a « d » but we nearly don’t hear it.

    뭘 = 무엇을 (뭐를)
    뭐 = 무엇
    누가 = 누구 + 이/가
    어디서 = 어디에서
    어디 is a pronoun meaning which place
    언제 is also a pronoun meaning which time
    어떻게 is an adverb from the adjective 어떻다
    어떡 = 어떻게
    어떡하다 = 어떻게하다

    Why is it that the korean letter for g is pronounced as a k when you can just use k?
    Example :
    the korean spelling for how in english is -- eotteohgae
    And not --- eotteokae

      ttmik did make a video about it. they said they make the sound ㄴ between there teeth with there tongue. and also because you need to forget the romanisation of the letters. 네 is 네 and not "ne" thats what they said in the video

      TTMIK is inaccurate many times. What Chang is pointing out is word-initial denasalization of the Korean language.

    한국어니, I was reading another source and was told that asking a question using 니 as the conjugation was feminine and guys wouldn't say that. Is that true. I need to know it because it is used by all my female colleagues and people I meet, but as a guy, I would never say it. What do you think?

      Informal & casual way.
      I learn Korean in formal polite first.
      Then you can check for informal polite & casual way.
      Formal polite always ending with ㅂ니다.
      Informal polite with 요 .....cmiiw.

    I thought what are you doing was mwo-hae? Also, I was watching a K drama and one of the characters was staring at the other and she looked back at her and asked wae even thought I know it's supposed to mean what? Is it because of different context?

    While you were explaining ´what´, you´ve said in one example ´museun´and in the others normally like ´muiseul´ is ´museun´somthing like a short form of ´muiseul´or anything else?       Anjali dev because that is informal way (say it to closer people) but use the formal polite way for general use bc Koreans rlly do respect everyone

      Anjali dev yes it’s very formal so it’s a good idea to add that often at then end of sentences. The lady didn’t include that syllable so it would be informal

    Only when, why, and how seem right to me. I mean obviously you are the Korean.... but I'm so confused now. Can you explain to me why you made why and where different? also who is 누구 right? I even have a study sheet from Talk to me in Korean and it says who is 누구 so can u please explain differnce between 누구 and 누가 ?
