Namjoon also has an IQ of like 148 xDDD. But also, Namjoon stated that Friends is a show with a very standard dialect and is easy to hear and understand due to the lack of accents (no southern accents, midwest accents, boston, etc.). That may be one of the reasons its harder to learn korean just by watching k-dramas with subtitles. We don't know what dialect they are speaking from (for example Hwarang is a periodic drama and all the korean is historically accurate for the time it is set in. and other dramas may have a busan satorori in it instead of a standard seoul dialect) @@veronicaarmyielle1058
@@salvatoreheart i am already starting to learn korean......i do self study...but i cant do it daily because im a campus journalist...and i compete on science competition and i have a lot of things to do like writting a news experimenting and other stuffs that is related to science but im happy to say that i already know how to speak a bit of korean and i can compose my own sentence in korean
Faith Agatha I have similar problems. I’m a full time student as well and have a hard time finding time to study 😓. I also have always been slow when it comes to learning languages. I’m able to say a few words and a couple of sentences though. Self teaching is always so much harder than having a classroom with a teacher and other students.

Took Korean when I was in college and learning hangul was so easy compared to hiragana and katakana. I was so confident I would nail the hangul test but on the test day suddenly I forgot everything I've learned just because the font was changed 🤣 I barely passed the test lol

Trying downloading apps like MEEFF. There are a lot of pervs there, but there are also a lot of good people who are going to be happy and even excited to help you learn. I recommend starting out by using a site like memrise.com first though to start learning Hangul. Once you understand the different sounds, it will be easier to start saying more complex things. Also, make sure you grab Kakao app if you don't already have it because 95% of Korean people I have met will eventually ask for your Kakao, especially if you want to voice chat.

스위스에 5년 살다와서 '그들'(영어가 모국어인 자들) 의 간접 경험 을 한 사람으로써 말씀 드릴 수 있습니다.
우선 문법 자체는 크게 안배웁니다.
기본적인거 배우고 회화&프레젠테이션 위주로 가는 것이 메인스트림 잉글리쉬 코스죠. 그리고 대략 미국 ,호주같은 영어권이서 2~3년 이나 비영어권에서 영어 학교를 5년 정도 다닌후 한국으로 돌아오면 'Live int he language'라는 감이 생깁니다.
이 능력을 예로 들면 모의고사 독해나 문법 문제를 볼때 그 답이 맞고 틀린 건 고를 수 있는데 명확한 이유는 모르며 풉니다. 그러니까 감으로 90이상정도는 맞을 수 있고 단어를 추가로 외우면 90대 후반 까지도 가능하겠습니다.
그러니 문제는 푸는데 친구들이 이게 왜 이러냐 물어보면 답해주기가 곤란 한 상황에 빠집니다.
한국와서 제일 메리트 보는것은 아마 회화 시간이나 발표수업 시간일 것입니다 ^.^

For a little encouragement guys, it is possible to reach a level of fluency where you can have hour long conversations with native speakers in as short as 3-6 months of studying. You just have to be consistent and practice speaking with a native speaker asap. Dont wait till you "think" you are ready, cause in your mind you will never be. You just have to jump in!

It actually _is_ quite easy guys! I learned to write and read in about 30 minutes, and I'm no genius. The rest is not that complicated once you've learned that. Most of the grammar makes perfect sense, and the way you build your sentences in hangul is actually really easy to understand! I know you can do it! 🤗💕

@@violetsand exactly my point.. Many of us want to learn Korean simply because they love the language and the culture or they want to be able to understand their idols ..but some people be like Koreaboo!! U don't appreciate ur culture and things like that
Elif i agree 100%. i really wish people would stop generalizing the term "koreaboo." just because someone wants to learn/look more korean DOES NOT mean that they're a koreaboo, there's a huge difference between a koreaboo and a fan of something korean/wanting to learn korean culture. it's nice that someone feels the same way :)

the letters isnt very hard, its actually the easiest thing. you can understand in one or two days, and the rest is just practicing reading and writing until it becomes natural... you do forget as easily when you dont use it though...
I actually thought the same at first, I used an app called Memrise, and used the default Korean course for only the letters, within a few days I could read/write anything but without understanding anything, then I used the TTMIK Course on Memrise for the rest of it, because the default Korean course got a lot of stuff wrong with honorifics and other but the letters and pronounciation was fine, so yea good luck
