As someone with a background in music composition- I’ll point out to all my fellow fans that when Maynard screams Gooooooo for 25 seconds, he is also on a specific pitch. He chose the MOST dissonant (clashing) pitch - the tritone created by being a half step down from the 5th (dominant p5) - it creates a sense of anguish that when he releases and it fades out leaving the rest of the band on the root creates a BEAUTIFUL release sonically- which coincides with the meaning of the lyrics at that point. Bloody brilliant.
I always find it funny to hear Maynard talk about his role in the band. He always down plays it. While the music is pure genius, the lyrics themselves as well as how Maynards gets that across to us, the listener, is nothing short of brilliant!

That insanely long, primal scream that Maynard executes to perfection towards the end of the track always represented to me the barer of The Grudge releasing years of pent up resentment/anger that they held onto towards someone and finally being freed of the weight that carrying The Grudge had in their life. Basically the only person to suffer from The Grudge was the person holding it.

"Saturn comes back around to show you everything Let's you choose what you will and will not see and then Drags you down like a stone or lifts you up again Spits you out like a child, light and innocent" -My favorite line from the song 🤘
Srsly. I pick up new things every listen. Im getting that the main riff is the Grudge. Maynard won’t face it, be stronger than it, and to let it go. Building up to that thunder scream at the end. But I don’t know if he beats it at the end because he’s still saying, Let go. You should try one without doing research first. It can be cool seeing what it means to you and breaking the puzzle as you replay. You got great audio too 👍🏽
I love this part not just because of the lines, but the rhythms and syncopation as well. He's singing with the rhythm from the main riff while the guitar, bass, and drums are doing a slightly different rhythm. No matter which way you slice it, it's the grooviest thing I've ever heard in my life. And of course, the tones and delivery are goddamn perfect.
Tools music speaks to your soul and I know that sounds corny af lol but it’s true like you said Imo all mainstream music now is superficial, materialistic and very low IQ, the replayability of tools music will last a life time, there’s nothing instantaneously gratifying about it, the music is something that sticks with you and makes you think about life and everything that’s led up to now and helps you hold onto the good and let go of the bad, the music creeps in on you, gets into your head your heart and makes itself comfortable and you as the listener you are okay with it 🌀 the journey never ends so just sit back and ride the spiral to the end and you may just go where no one’s been
We're getting there Hank, we're getting there. Your lovely prose does Tool's music justice. All hail the creative spirit, and the conduits through which creative energy flows!
a lot of great vocalists do the same . look at Prince. his speaking voice was always low and quiet, but on stage he could hit those high notes with ease

I remember standing on the footpath outside Echo Records in High Street just after midnight when this album released. All the hard-core fans queued for a copy. They had it playing nice and loud with speakers out the door. I remember hearing that scream for the first time standing there in that queue. I love this song, and this album. Thanks Polo.

Saturn represents the changing point in someone’s life, when Saturn comes back around it’s called a great conjunction it happens every 27.5 years, during this time a person can choose to let go of their bitter hatred resentments and grudges or be dragged down by them and suffer, we just had one of these events in Dec 2020, the choose 1 or 10 part refers to the Kabbalistic tree of life, When Maynard screams for 20+ seconds that’s him letting go of all the negative he has held onto, Tool writes the deepest most spiritual music in the world the rabbit hole goes so deep you’d think it’s never ending lol, everything this band does is not on accident, there are no coincidences with Tool, they arrange there music in spiritual and mathematical patterns like the Fibonacci sequence, they are masters at their craft and conveying a message, you’ll sooner or later find it’s not just music it’s an awakening, Tool released the opiate EP in 1992, and then Fear Inoculum in 2019, that’s around 10,000 days apart (also the name of their 4th studio album) and 10,000 days is roughly the amount of days that’s in 27.5 years, the approximate time it’s take for Saturn to return and have a great conjunction, if anyone and I mean ANYONE thinks that’s just coincidence they are 100% undeniably full of shit 😂
@@harperlewis1526 🤣 that’s tool for ya, it’s not a tool song without a deep spiritual, philosophical, mathematical or scientific lesson, now is it? Haha

In astrology Saturn ascending represents the return to your natal self, returning to the beginning to either grow and change, or continue to make the same mistakes. One of the many things I like about Tool is how many philosophy, theology, and psychology correlations there are in the lyrics, often combining multiple sources in the same song. :-)
The important thing to know Polo is that Tool wasn't publicly available on any streaming service or elsewhere for a long time. You had to own the album or go the shows. I'm happy they opened themselves up. BTW Buy a drum kit. Call Danny.
If you really wanna see where the band's head was at when they made this album and what it's about read the May 2001 Penthouse interview with the entire band which is rare because Tool does not grant interviews very often, they cover everything, the lawsuit, the band almost splitting up because of the lawsuit with the record label, It covers where they were at this time,it's very informative!
The crown refers to the crown chakra on the Kabbalistic tree of life, which is the concept and basis for the whole album, the album starts at 1 to get to 7 in order to reach the crown, this song is the first step and is the first track on the album and it represents the root chakra, it details Maynard’s entire journey from 1 to 7, 7 being the holy Trinity (Disposition, Reflection, Triad) which equals the crown on the tree of life, I should also add that the element related to saturn (the root) is lead and the crown is gold… in other words it’s the greatest fucking album ever made 😂🤘🌀
vvvvvvvery close. OR! vvvvvvery similar to what i've found: (bare with me #thepot) did you know... ? tracks 1-13 directly correlate with 13-chakra system*? and that the album is playing UPWARDS?!?!!?!? this is why you hear a lift/elevator start up at 0:00:00 watch leafy eye in parabola m/v, climb up thru chakras. that is precisely how LATERALUS tracklist is constructed. (lateralus album artwork itself basically shows same thing) :) v is for vagina also does this. 1. opening credits QUEEN B 2-9. 8 chakra system (as "in flight" movie) ...see album liner artwork 10. closing credits REV 2020 very weeeird creative rubric if you ask me, but totally fucking awesome. there's a takeoff moment, metaphor of 8/13-chakra system, come down. & tracklist flows upwards, as if to simulate sequential chakra stimulation. um. so. v is for vagina starts you on the vagina airlines tarmack, queen b. heading down the runway, before take off. hence meditative breathing... (i think we're in quadruple entendre territory at this point) then dozo. "rotate." in air. flying. in-joying "in-flight movie", great metaphor. then!!! holy shit... bill hicks fans will appreciate this, mjk likes to pay homage. album artwork is basically a brochure for "what to do in case of uh oh". by end, REV 2020, last instructives, parachuting jesus floats from fireball airplane. anyways, here's the bill hicks transcript: "There are dick jokes on the way, ladies and gentlemen. Please relax. Feelin' a little tension in the room here. "He hasn't told any dick jokes. Doesn't he know he's in America? Doesn't he know about our Puritanical self-hatred of our own body and its desires; the only way we can find relief is through the medium of penis material?" Yeah, I'm totally aware of where I am. Don't worry. The dick jokes are on their way. Here's the deal, ladies and gentlemen. I editorialize for forty minutes- the last ten minutes we pull our chutes and float down to Dick Joke Island together. 'Kay? And we will rest our weary heads against the big, thick veined trunks of dick jokes while we sit in our big, cushiony bean bag scrotum chairs and giggle away the dawn like any good American comedy club audience." [this was from his very last performance, igbys '94] (in other words, entire art concept for v is for vagina amounts to ..."dick jokes") this is how bill hicks lives on. LATERALUS however! starts with industrial elevator! ends in ALIEN ABDUCTION! so... idk... (i mean i kinda do... metaphor ties together quite nicely w/ art bell bit) * fact APC name's album 13th step, is not a coincidence

I gotta say, you absolutely NAILED this reaction. It was so cool to see someone affected in all the same ways this song affects me. The trance like/ tribal elements, the details and subtleties as well as musical aspects. Great content.
Every talks about the scream and it is amazing in itself BUT the 2 minutes of the song after are the best 2 minutes in music history. Even without him singing, but with the leadup to it!
My favorite Tool song, from my favorite Tool album. If i were simple, I would say it's because I listened to this, laying down in the dark, on mushrooms, with it playing through high end speakers. That was awesome, but it's my favorite because it just does everything I love by Tool, musically, along with lyrics that have always had an impact to make you self-reflect, if you're open to the idea. To hear someone offer you a way to deal with things you might have had no idea how to even deal with. To challenge you to take a different road, one rid of self-inflicted pain. And every listen is a reinforcement of these ideas. Loving your journey and commentary.
Love what you said at the end. I’m not religious either but a Tool show is the closet thing I can get to a religious experience. I schedule my vacations around their tour dates. Enjoying your reactions
Saw this live in January of last year and after all these years Maynard still has it and can still do the scream! If you do more from this album you should do Lateralus, of course. If you choose to do the Holy Trinity, you have to listen to all three songs together. All three songs form one long story. The three songs are Disposition, Reflection and Triad. This whole album is a masterpiece to be honest. Eon Blue Apocalypse/The Patient are two of my personal favorites from the album. Rosetta Stoned from 10,000 Days would also be a fun one for you to react to.
I read through quite a few of the comments and am kind of surprised no one said anything about you being quite startled when the band let loose as Maynard let loose with his scream. Made me chuckle a bit. I've watched a number of your Tool reactions and have enjoyed each of them as you seem to genuinely like the band. Oh, and like someone else said, don't worry about making faces while listening to them. We all do it. I'm 58 years old and act like a damn fool when I listen to Jambi. After the break and they come back in with that hard driving beat, we'll, let's just say my girlfriend gets a kick out of watching me. I'll leave it at that. Enjoy your Tool journey.
The Grudge is absolutely one of my favorite Tool songs. So glad to see you reacting to it. It's so primal. It's one of those songs that when I'm in a bad mood or angry and just need a cathartic release, that scream from Maynard symbolizes that inner turmoil to me. This song is so understated. It is certainly one of the best songs on the Lateralus album.
I've been waiting for this one, my personal favorite Tool song they played it when I saw them in San Diego. I can't hear it again for the first time but watching you react was the next best thing.
The 25 second long scream is the visceral release of anger, resentment, jealousy, fear, sadness, sorrow, etc... and then just letting it go. A primal scream
If you could condense an entire Tool concert into one song, it would be The Grudge. It starts with the mechanical sound before the first note is played. As if the elevator is taking you to the next level. Then, the peaks and valleys of intensity to sublime. The ending of this song is epic! From the moment Maynard screams for 25 seconds continuously, through to the final note played, it is perfect! I'm a Tool fan since the early days and of all the music I listen to, this might be the only song in which the epic ending to the song leaves me with goosebumps as the final note ends.
Tool is one of my favorite all time bands hand down but I have to tell you growing up as a huge fan it was torture to wait many years between albums. You can’t rush a masterpiece and when the album finally dropped the cd would never leave my discman.
YEAH! We knew you'd love this one! Badass reaction friend. You gave me a few pretty good chuckles in this one, lol. "You have to calm down. We're not gonna GIVE you that right now... just calm down and listen". You're awesome. This was awesome. Chef's kiss, friend 😘
Regarding your opening comments, I believe that Tool’s music appeals on a more visceral, emotional level than much of the other music I’ve heard over the years. For sure you feel it deep inside of your body and it touches whatever part of you that is waiting for it. Maynard is next level in this song. Those screams! Polo, you would really enjoy Rick Beato’s interview with Maynard. You will get an even bigger appreciation for him and how his lifestyle is all geared towards staying healthy and being in shape to perform.
He does the scream live even now I saw them again in March of 2022 he still hits that note and holds it they are absolutely amazing and flawless live and culling voices live is a soul and mind journey
So, my mom got the Undertow album I'm pretty sure in 1994. I was 6 or 7 depending on what time of the year it was, I can't remember anymore, I'm nearly 35 now and epilepsy screws with my memory a bit. This band has been with me my entire life basically. These albums have gotten me through loss of friends, grief over lost loved ones, bad relationships/breakups, the difficult decision to not have contact with my parents anymore... Lotta heavy shit. The only other band I love as much as I love TOOL, would be Gogol Bordello. Completely different style and sound, found them when I was 15. They're like the two sides of my soul lmao.
A Tool song that I recommend (even if you don't do a reaction to it) is "Culling Voices." It's not one of their touted songs, but I appreciate his message in it, the fact that Danny Carry plays the guitar in it...Have a great weekend everyone!

-My favorite line from the song 🤘
You got great audio too 👍🏽
This song fits perfectly with someone in my life.
This has to do with Saturn/Chronos eating his kids in fear they'll usurp him. Then he's fooled into swallowing a rock instead of Jupiter/Zeus, right?
@@mudbutt234 kinda Saturn in the occult represents karma, you reap what you sow, as Saturn Is the harvest, it's all tied together very well.
Off to see Tool play this live at the O2 in London tomorrow night. I feel like the luckiest guy on earth.
I saw them this year too. Cried
Yeah seeing them live is a whole other experience. I've seen them 13 times and have been amazed everytime.
All hail the creative spirit, and the conduits through which creative energy flows!
we could be fwends
Yep
Same here. It's written in my living will that this album is played at my funeral.
tool is psedo-intellectual garbage, its just dumbed down pearl jam.
I was watching a Tool documentary earlier …Maynards such a soft spoken dude then on stage the power of his voice is limitless…
a lot of great vocalists do the same . look at Prince. his speaking voice was always low and quiet, but on stage he could hit those high notes with ease
soft spoken, but not afraid to crack a dick joke!
Love you're channel man. There are lots of folks doing tool reactions but I really appreciate your genuine reactions and perspective.
YES, and we can tell who is genuine and who is doing it just for the views. Polo is one of us for sure
Hey Polo,
Original Aussie TOOL OG here.
Welcome to the ranks of the TOOL Army mate!
Have subbed because of your genuine reactions and appreciation of this amazing band.
Love everything that you are doing and don’t stress about being introverted/anxious, your videos are amazing 👌
If you want your mind blown for a next reaction video, a good album song that will blow your brain cells is Right in Two.
For a live performance that will have your life completely turned upside down……
Check out PUSHIT live from the Salival album 👌
If you survive that experience…. Check out TOOL’s tribute to Led Zeppelin’s NO QUARTER.
It’s awesome to watch your journey down the massive TOOL rabbit hole…. but be safe in the knowledge that there’s a whole Army behind you and your journey is only but beg😎
Was definitely fun growing up when you waited in line at crazy hours for a new album from your favorite band. No more!😢
Cheers for the reply! I bought two copies that night. One for my best friend as well. We listened to it immediately upon my arrival home. It grew on me so much over the years. It's onebof the best albums ever in my opinion.
Tools music is composed in such a way that every cell in your body responds to every sound all at once.
Astrology woah
@@harperlewis1526 🤣 that’s tool for ya, it’s not a tool song without a deep spiritual, philosophical, mathematical or scientific lesson, now is it? Haha
Kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand. Just discovered your channel, and wanted to stop by and thank you for being you. I'm 53, and have been a Tool fan since the early 90's, but the older i get, the more i appreciate anyone listening to this band with an open heart, you obviously have. I hope your heart always remains open.
Cucked out intro from someone with the name Gary. Try turning off your indoctrination box (tv) and realise that without the civilised British the islands would be filled with murderous maori with no technological progression.
Call Danny.
They were one of the most commonly illegally downloaded bands for a reason.
It’s only been like 2 years or so…so glad that BS is over 😂
If you really wanna see where the band's head was at when they made this album and what it's about read the May 2001 Penthouse interview with the entire band which is rare because Tool does not grant interviews very often, they cover everything, the lawsuit, the band almost splitting up because of the lawsuit with the record label, It covers where they were at this time,it's very informative!
this album is 10/10
As a HUGE Tool fan since 6th grade study hall, I enjoy watching you experience this firsthand!!!
Hell yes I was waiting for this one
The crown refers to the crown chakra on the Kabbalistic tree of life, which is the concept and basis for the whole album, the album starts at 1 to get to 7 in order to reach the crown, this song is the first step and is the first track on the album and it represents the root chakra, it details Maynard’s entire journey from 1 to 7, 7 being the holy Trinity (Disposition, Reflection, Triad) which equals the crown on the tree of life, I should also add that the element related to saturn (the root) is lead and the crown is gold… in other words it’s the greatest fucking album ever made 😂🤘🌀
None of that makes sense, and its not true..
vvvvvvvery close. OR! vvvvvvery similar to what i've found:
(bare with me #thepot)
did you know... ?
tracks 1-13 directly correlate with 13-chakra system*?
and that the album is playing UPWARDS?!?!!?!?
this is why you hear a lift/elevator start up at 0:00:00
watch leafy eye in parabola m/v, climb up thru chakras.
that is precisely how LATERALUS tracklist is constructed.
(lateralus album artwork itself basically shows same thing)
:)
v is for vagina also does this.
1. opening credits QUEEN B
2-9. 8 chakra system (as "in flight" movie) ...see album liner artwork
10. closing credits REV 2020
very weeeird creative rubric if you ask me, but totally fucking awesome.
there's a takeoff moment, metaphor of 8/13-chakra system, come down.
& tracklist flows upwards, as if to simulate sequential chakra stimulation.
um. so. v is for vagina starts you on the vagina airlines tarmack, queen b.
heading down the runway, before take off. hence meditative breathing...
(i think we're in quadruple entendre territory at this point)
then dozo. "rotate." in air. flying. in-joying "in-flight movie", great metaphor.
then!!! holy shit... bill hicks fans will appreciate this, mjk likes to pay homage.
album artwork is basically a brochure for "what to do in case of uh oh".
by end, REV 2020, last instructives, parachuting jesus floats from fireball airplane.
anyways, here's the bill hicks transcript:
"There are dick jokes on the way, ladies and gentlemen. Please relax. Feelin' a little tension in the room here. "He hasn't told any dick jokes. Doesn't he know he's in America? Doesn't he know about our Puritanical self-hatred of our own body and its desires; the only way we can find relief is through the medium of penis material?"
Yeah, I'm totally aware of where I am. Don't worry. The dick jokes are on their way. Here's the deal, ladies and gentlemen. I editorialize for forty minutes- the last ten minutes we pull our chutes and float down to Dick Joke Island together. 'Kay? And we will rest our weary heads against the big, thick veined trunks of dick jokes while we sit in our big, cushiony bean bag scrotum chairs and giggle away the dawn like any good American comedy club audience." [this was from his very last performance, igbys '94]
(in other words, entire art concept for v is for vagina amounts to ..."dick jokes")
this is how bill hicks lives on.
LATERALUS however! starts with industrial elevator! ends in ALIEN ABDUCTION!
so... idk... (i mean i kinda do... metaphor ties together quite nicely w/ art bell bit)
* fact APC name's album 13th step, is not a coincidence
@@soth1sol Maynard literally said he thought the idea of using the Fibonacci sequence in lateralus was a gimmick. He did not go that far yo. Pretty sure this has to be a dummy account for the first guy btw..

Kia ora hello my bro from Aotearoa New Zealand your opening statement about Tool fan's sticking with them ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON my friend the first time i heard these guys was when opiate was released standing in the kitchen having spot's ( bit's of bud between hot knives) with my flatmate Paul and the guitarist from his band phobia (speed metal) turns up on his bmx and pulled opiate out of his bag and say's I've just got this cd you guys need to listen to it.on it goes into Paul's wicked stereo and when it ended me and Paul were on our bikes to real groovy record's to get our own copies with a spaner with nuts ducktape sticker and when i saw them the first of three times after the show thousands of people left the gig in near silence we had just had a reflash of our musical and visual brain chip and like Zombies we walked out into the real world
I am having such a great time going on this journey with you. You have quickly became my favorite Tool Reactor. You are genuine and I know I speak for the Tool Army when I say We Appreciate That. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY 🤜🤛
Tool is An Experience !! Enjoy
My favorite Tool song for a reason. Beyond words for me!
One of the best songs Tool has made. I never get sick of it.
You answered your question in the beginning, why we listen to tool for decades and still love them, because the songs actually get better the more you listen to it
I've listened to the TOOL catalog hundreds if not thousands of times and these masterpieces continue to be brain candy for me. I really enjoy living vicariously through others listening to these tracks for the first time and can "get it". Keep up the reactions with your intelligent reviews and the army will continue to grow🌀Enjoy the journey!
Once you’re through your reactions from Lataralus, you’ll need to listen to the album in its entirety. Masterful.
One of the greatest albums of all time.
Absolute must!
All of their albums are journeys
My favorite album. Always thought the grudge was out of place, however. My first time hearing this album was alpha to omega on an eighth of shrooms...religous experience
LAY DOWN
OPEN YOUR EYE
AND TAKE THE RIDE
They opened up with this at “The Gorge” in WA on their 2017 tour! It was ridiculous! 🤯🤙🏽
So envious you saw/heard this live
@@rexahdar4199 trying to figure out the next festival! I was fortunate enough to take my younger brother to “Aftershock 2019” in Sac-Town! It’s sad like a trance when they debuted “Pneuma”! Thinking of trying to make it out to “Sonic Temple” or “Rockville”. The weather is supposed to be nice out in Ohio and I’ve heard that it’s the rainy season in Florida! But that’s the goal bro! 🌀
I was at that show in about the 10th row. We got The Grudge and Third Eye later in the set. That show was incredible.
@@tylerdurden8631 check the set list bro. I think that you’re mistaken. They opened up the show with “The Grudge”. Just like the “Lateralus” record. But yeah, the show was amazing! Especially hearing them doing part of the “Descending” instrumental! 🤙🏽
One of my absolute favorites of any music ever, great reaction
I. Remember seeing them play this live at the Wiltern in LA in 07 I think it was.epic
I think Eulogy is absolutely one of their most underrated tracks that has that same sort of visceral aggressive energy to it. Absolute banger
It's awesome to see TOOL always gaining more fans, once you take a deep enough dive into their world you just don't come back the same. If I had to live with one single playlist for the rest of my life... you guessed it, it would be the entire Tool catalog on loop! Haha!
Great reaction and best thumbnail ever.
I saw this song performed live in January. .. I've been to 6 Tool concerts, and the last one I saw was the best. They blended the old songs with the new perfectly. Polo, you neeeeeeeed to go to a Tool show, this is SO MUCH BETTER LIVE
Were you at the Eugene OR show? I was at the Eugene show and the last show before the lockdown on Mar. 11 in Portland. They played Descending for both shows...I can rest a happy man
@@joechurch7 it was the Tacoma show, shit was insane
Member of the tool army since 94. And proud of it. Props to you Sir
Been waiting for you to get to “the scream”. Didn’t disappoint
Maynard is Lead Vocals and Lead Instrument. His VOICE IS the instrument. The placements of his voice during parts of the song, so good!
Saw Tool play in Dublin in May 2022, this was jaw dropping to see/hear live.
Been a fan going on 32 years!!! Fell in love instantly and have followed ever since
I gotta say, you absolutely NAILED this reaction. It was so cool to see someone affected in all the same ways this song affects me. The trance like/ tribal elements, the details and subtleties as well as musical aspects. Great content.
Once Again your reaction was So Fucking Good!!! I enjoy watching you do Tool So Much!!!
This song has my favorite outro of any TOOL song. Pure fire! 🔥
Every talks about the scream and it is amazing in itself
BUT
the 2 minutes of the song after are the best 2 minutes in music history. Even without him singing, but with the leadup to it!
The Grudge is my favorite Tool song, glad you liked it
Parabol/Parabola must be Next!!!!!
Love Tool, love this song. Next you should try listening to Devin Townsend, he is amazing 🤩
At the risk of being redundant I get so excited watching your reaction it's so kool to see ppl fall in love with tool. Rock on!!!!
Love what you said at the end. I’m not religious either but a Tool show is the closet thing I can get to a religious experience. I schedule my vacations around their tour dates. Enjoying your reactions
Tool does for me what I imagine religious music does for believers.
Jan 10 in Eugene? I was at that show, they played Right In Two after The Grudge...my ears were feasting
@@joechurch7 I was supposed to go to that show but I had to work 😭
They need to come to the sphere in Vegas!
I loved listening to Tool in my 2000 runner. Driving on logging roads getting up to where you have tremendous views and smoking MJ
How has NOONE suggested Tool's "Hooker with a Penis" to this young man? Lyrics alone are too cool to ignore.
The 25 second long scream is the visceral release of anger, resentment, jealousy, fear, sadness, sorrow, etc... and then just letting it go. A primal scream
The Lateralus CD package is also something to behold. Goosebumps hearing this again, even after all these years.
I so regret that I no longer own that cd with the packaging. The art and everything that came with that cd was absolutely amazing.
Great review & reaction!..😂👍
It is the intelligence that is used in the music that makes
me love TooL so much!..😎
If you could condense an entire Tool concert into one song, it would be The Grudge.
Love the reactions! Thanks!
It’s fun watching you become part of the army…
Be sure to try out their song Stinkfist!
Tool is one of my favorite all time bands hand down but I have to tell you growing up as a huge fan it was torture to wait many years between albums. You can’t rush a masterpiece and when the album finally dropped the cd would never leave my discman.
I love it, man. I love that you love it. I am a spiritual person and as cliché as this is to say, Tool is more than just music. ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Polo's face in the thumbnail is hilarious (and appropriate). 😂🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪💪💪
Gotta turn those leaden grudges into gold, my friend. Such a majestically powerful song.
SINKING DEEEEPER! \m/ the most iconic scream in all of rock and metal...
Deftone's Passenger feat Maynard?
He does it on the song "H" holds a long scream. Sounds amazing
Since the very first time I listened to it... No other song has matched that feeling.
I love that you love this. Keep’em coming. Spiral out my friend.
I envy whoever hears this for the first time. Phenomenal song and probably the greatest album opener ever.

At 10:04 this song slides into the heaviest groove. It reminds me of Zeppelin’s heavy breakdown on “When the levee breaks”
Such an incredible track. Absolutely one of the best intros to an album in modern metal.
Third Eye, it will take you to a side path to know Bill Hicks, wich is a good path
