Right Before COVID in our last concert I played the soprano saxophone in this piece. One of the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever played and heard, glad it was the last song we got to play as a band before these crazy times
really? In my school's senior band there's a soprano sax player that plays oboe parts! I'm pretty sure she's learnt to sight transpose or transposed them in her own time
Because people enjoy sharing their experiences? Or because they're excited to hear something they worked on in a different context? It's art, dude. Let people share their excitement.
Played this in high school in 2006 or 2007. Took me till now to figure out the name, but the melody has been in my head the past nearly 15 years.

Conducted this as a student conductor for the last time last night, I’m gonna miss this piece so much.
im playing the piccolo and my director keeps telling me to play out because I have the melody and i’m losing a little bit of my hearing every day
Take it from a drummer, hearing protection is very important if you don't want tinnitus. Invest in some good musician's earplugs and save your ears.
I’m playing piccolo for this as well
Hey, imagine how bad it must be for the person next to you 😂
I’m playing the baritone on a 2nd trombone part
I played this in high school! Didn’t realize it was by Hazo at the time time, super cool!
