Google Pixel 7A vs Poco F5 Speed Test - In this episode we take a look at how the Google Pixel 7A performs compared to the Poco F5 with the intention of helping you decide which is going to be the right phone for you!
Most viewers watching this video are interested in performance, and the Poco F5 currently kills the Pixel. The poor RAM management of the Pixel and the stuttering and lag opening and moving between apps are evident, so the Poco is a much more premium flagship experience. An easy win for Poco if performance is what drives you? Other factors could lead you towards the Pixel, but I would say if you are only keeping your phone for 3 years, then the Poco is cheaper, faster, with superior RAM management and a no-brainer.
The problem is software support, and cameras. To make it up for these problems on Poco F3 I had to mod it, unaware that I would not be able to go back to stock because you immediately loose Play Store certification. Add to it the frequent Widevine license drop and you get a cocktail of uncertified experience that is fast but in a DRM nightmare.
I don't see myself using a phone for 5 years. I'll likely change it in 2 or 3 years. The software support on the Pixel is attractive but not so necessary to me.
Pixel seems to lag while scrolling in apps, while the Poco doesn't. If someone wants smooth performance and no lag, take the Poco. If you want great camera and great US carrier support take the Pixel.
you can't buy a Pixel phone in Leyte Philippines but you can buy a Poco, Redmi, Mi, Xiaomi anyplace in the Philippines. I tried buying a Pixel 7 pro last year and was told to travel 1100kms or about 700 miles to Manila by bus which is a 33 hour non-stop journey. Google need to get their phones in more nations and stores or the Chinese will continue to beat them in sales. The Poco F5 costs about $360 here.
Watching on my Pock F5.. was thinking getting pixel 6A but it's not officially sold in Philippines, doesn't have dual sim, 5g not working, and has heating issues..
For me, the reason to pick the Pixel is mostly for the faster update on the latest android and the better camera. Other than that, poco f5 all day for the better overall performance.
