I remember a tweet from @MKBHD about this very idea when I first started RUclips called "nobody tells this to beginners" all about the gap between your taste and current execution and its still something I think about all the time
I feel like there are so many potentially exciting paths to take AND there's also no roadmap so its all from intuition & advice from brilliant friends
I'm giving it my all and am a big believer that hard work pays off long term, so here's to learning more and getting better:)

In Belgium now ; 699 euros for the S23 + 200 euros cashback + an A8 tablet that I try to sell for around 120 euros = 380 euros for the new S23.

These two phones are for two different sets of buyers. The S23 is a powerhouse and you pay accordingly for it. The 7a isn’t a slouch either but it’s more an all rounder. Sammy is more on the pop factor when it comes to their photos where Google is trying to convey what you’re actually seeing. One big plus for the S23 is the extra telephoto. That does make a significant difference. If that’s more important, then the S23 is for you. Most would rather take great shots and save some bills doing it. That’s where the 7a shines. Either way you’re getting a great smartphone.
I still prefer the 7a aesthetically, because of its unique look.
I think Samsung is better on the inside but google pixel in design looks beautiful 🤩
S23 user here, gor 256gb for 749, worth every penny. I use my phone for everything, so it's worth the investment. 9/10 phone

How's battery life
@@NomanKhan-jk2ql it's been excellent. All day battery life and very good standby time on cellular data.
10x optical zoom should be the norm on all phones now. Such a useful feature to have.
Although I won't be buying these phones, but I still watched the video entirely. It feels great to just listen how well you explain each spec, its requirement, the pros and cons without leaving any detail. And I would love to see you review laptops too, if you ever do.
Google needs to bring back the form factor of the Pixel 5, similar to the S23 size
With more rounded edges? Because I just saw a leak that's what they are doing with pixel 8
And with the bezels on the Pixel 5.
I'm sorry but it's not even close. I had a Pixel 7 Pro and traded for an S23 Ultra. The shaky video and the lack of a true telephoto lens is super noticeable. I applaud Google for what they accomplish with software, but it's not even close.
And before the fans come out with the pitch forks, if the Google phone works for you, I'm happy for you. But some of us want more. And it's more than about moon pictures. I attend sporting events, car races, and often attend rocket launches where the zoom comes in handy.
And I do enjoy the Pixel and it's software but it has a long way to go to compete with a Samsung and a very long way to compete with an Ultra Samsung.
I swear your video's just get better and better. I'm truly taken back by the fantastic editing and quick pacing of these. Makes me want to sit back and have a coffee with you and just talk tech all day. Incredible!!

Well honestly because of the battery life and charging speed, I can't see myself owning a 7a. No matter how good the camera is, the battery life is going to annoy me the most. I rather spend more and get the pixel 7 pro if I rather use a pixel phone.
I think we need a day of coffee shops? Comparison please!? 🤣

i had the S22 and now the 7A. The photos from 7A are so much better by far. S22 was so grainy in dark areas and unsharp, really its holy crap
Cool video, I personally went with the pixel 7a. Having a samsung Tab S8, is great but samsungs bloatware is a problem. & I find Material You design more appealing over One UI. Which feels more industrial.
I have the s23 which is an incredible device, pixel devices aren't available in my country but I would like to try it. I like the style of your videos.
Despite being a pixel 6 pro user i will pick s23 over pixel 7a. It's a flagship. Samsung selfie camera is way better. Its more handy than 7a. The charging speed would surely be faster than pixel 7a. Point and shoot photography is the only feature that goes in favor of pixel 7a.

So many different and yet every day locations for most of us who live in big cities. You showcased both products exceptionally well, Jackly! It seemed like less of a, which should you choose, to me but more of a showing off the best of both. As you mentioned, two very different devices that illustrate each company's way of approaching their target market.

You look great! Anyways the comparison was also not bias which what I like about this video. I think the Pixel and S23 comparison was fair, but then of course, even though Google is better in terms of Software, there is a limit on what it can reach than having a already existent hardware that is good, which is why even though I love the Pixel, S23 wins this round.

I went with pixel 7 instead of 7a and it was cheaper. 7a and s23 are too far apart in price. 7 Pro is cheaper than s23 base model.

I guess I don't understand why you would compare the 7a when you could use the 7 pro and it has the features that you mention as missing and is the same prices as Samsung
100% recommend the Pixel 7a over the Samsung. Can't go wrong with it! 🏆
Did it overheat on you while using it?
Tough call. Even though I believe most Samsung phones are very overpriced, I think the S23 is a pretty decent deal. 7A is more in my preferred budget though so I'd go with it.
I'm happy with my Pixel 7a.

@@athens4912 Not that I have noticed, but I can play around with photos, and video more. I got hot early on when I first got the phone but since then it seems better. I don't know if it was updates or the phone just settled.

I know I'm not the norm, but zoom cameras are of utmost importance to me as I use them as an accessibility device to help me see. Hence I use the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
S23 all the way. Pixels overheating and battery drains pretty fast.
I am sure everyone has heard this before, but what makes the real difference between these two phones is the price! Also great job on the vid! It was super fun to watch!

@@NBTJacklynit is a great video all around.... If I had to pick frames where I felt detached are 1. Where you kinda crossed the read and were not in the zebra crossing area, you kinda did miss that while filming imagine what a positive thing it would have been if you walked symmetrically on it, people do like that. Also you almost were about to get hit by a pedestrian when you tried to demonstrate the pocketability of pixel phone. Apart from these little details, it's all a great video. I liked how less noticeable transitions were there, and the blueness in the video while in the elevator was great (video from Pro camera I suppose) 🕊️
The is so important to me I use an S22 Ultra. Outside in good light a quality 50x shot is possible
What about battery life
I use telephoto. When you asked I was using a literal telephoto scope ha ha. Also does the S23 get hot? Mys22 plus gets hot

That 7a is quite awesome and the price even more....pass on S23 without a doubt.
Samsung flagship devices are great for the most part, however, what annoys so many consumers is that they resemble so many other Android devices. Even the cheap Android phones are so similar to the Samsung flagships in the looks department. Pixel phones have a distinct look, so one can tell immediately what device one is using.
Really appreciate your work, you are just living in your passion thats really good, you are a unique girl and didnt tried to get view by showing half the body like other girl youtubers of your age

The problem with Samsung is the UI. Don't get me wrong, it's fast at first but slowly, you'll start to see the hiccups in smoothness especially when you draw notifications panel down when there are a lot of notifications waiting to be looked at. That upsets anyone who spent their hard earned money to get a premium phone. Bloatware is also a problem. I've used samsung phones before, mid range ones and they all made me feel like I'm the one who should adjust to the phone. Pixels aren't the best video shooters but definitely one of the best when it comes to photos. The best part of the pixel is it doesn't lag a bit when storage is almost full. No ui lags, simply smooth and stands out with the design. They're worth every single penny you put on them.
My S10e is over 4 years old and there's no slowdown on the notification panel. The battery is not great by now, but speed-wise I would never in my life consider upgrading an I'm used to 120Hz displays from my laptop, TV and monitor...
