    If I had the money, I would pick the Poco F5 since it is cheaper and I don't really need wireless charging since I would have to buy a wireless charger which means more expenses. The display might be 1080p, but all I ever really want on a phone is a high refresh rate display and I'm actually amazed how powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 is. Lastly, the back design of the F5 is just phenomenal compared to the f5 pro

    I'm definitely impressed with both phones, but will say the Poco F5 Pro has really taken several steps up with the Pro series by adding 2k display and wireless charging. I don't think there are any other phones under $450 that can claim those two specs. Heck not even my upcoming Oneplus 11 has wireless charging. So Oneplus has no excuses now. A little perplexed that the cheaper F5 seems to have smaller bezels and better main, selfie, and digital zoom cameras though. Hopefully an update will smooth some of the rough edges out. Ultra wide, portrait, and night modes look pretty solid though.

    • @hinacharmbraceletera283
      @hinacharmbraceletera283 Год назад

      I mean- Oneplus 11 has a way faster charger, way better cameras it can hold a candle to S23 Ultra, and it has an SD8G2 which is faster than SD8+G1,it has faster storage (UFS 4.0 compared to UFS 3.1) and faster RAM (LPDDR5X compared go LPDDR5)

    Unless you gotta have wireless charging and the 2k display, I think the regular Poco F5 is the better deal here. Even the I thought the cameras on the F5 Pro were actually good, I thought the F5 main, selfie, and digital zoom cameras decidedly outperformed the F5 Pro. Night mode and portrait weren't great, and ultra-wide was good but not great, but overall I was impressed with the main camera systems. 67 watt fast charging is especially nice at under $400.

      @@ShaferHart I feel like I've seen both take good pictures, but do recall being disappointed that the Pro seemed to take worse pictures than the regular F5 main sensor. As a devoted fan of Poco, I've been using the Poco F3 for nearly two years, and during this time, I've experienced remarkable performance with no noticeable issues. However, about two weeks ago, I encountered an unexpected setback when my device abruptly shut down. In an attempt to troubleshoot, I purchased a new battery, suspecting a possible battery-related problem. To my surprise, after consulting with a technician, it was determined that the underlying issue lay with the motherboard, shedding light on a more complex challenge than initially anticipated.

    Specially for light weight, smooth performance, very good battery backup, and huge storage as I have bought 1tb varient, nice bazeless display, nice sound quality (better than my one plus 9rt), and very fast charging facility as I have come charge 10% to 96% in 40 min.
    Till now only 2 issue is found from my end and this is plastic in back and side which make cheap feel, but for me it's not a big deal as I always have use back sticker and nice back cover.

    Hi, not sure if my comment will be read or even replied duirng this stage.
    I bought the Poco F5 Blue 12GB 256GB variant after doing much research for a month. Bought it during 11.11 during a flash sale for about the equivalent of USD 300. The funny thing was I upgraded from the previous Poco flagship the F3 which I had for 2 years and unfortunately I lost it last month during a train ride. But oh well.. I was also previously a Poco F1 user which I had for 4 years. So I can safely say that I am a Poco user veteran having used all the odd numbered Pocos. LOL
    I was seriously contemplating this phone with the Nothing 1 phone as I am a huge fan of Carl Pei's take of Android and his Oneplus legacy. The Nothing 1 phone is just one of a kind. But in the end the flash sale of the Poco F5 gets the vote from my wallet.
    So far this phone has been very smooth and a joy to use. I am used to MIUI so the interface familiarity is there. The SD 7 Gen 2 really feels fast and snappy for anything thrown at it. I have disabled all the ads from MIUI so now the phone is totally ads free, which get rid of 1 sore point of MIUI. I don't game on my phone so the gaming performance of the phone isn't that relevant to me.
    What surprised me was the comeback of the 3.5mm jack! Great to reuse my corded earphones left lying in my cabinet after I switched to the F3 from F1.
    Just that from the F3 there were some downgrades at least on paper, like the 360hz to 240hz touch sampling rate, and apparently the camera sensors are using Omnivision sensors instead of Sony sensors. But it doesn't feel like a downgrade in real world experience.
    I am not sure if GCAM at this point is an improvement to the stock camera. Can you advise if this is so? And which build should I use?
    I also missed the ''Clear Speaker'' feature of the F3. I am not sure why Poco didn't retain this feature to help clear dust from the dual speakers.
    My humble feedback :)

    1. Display FHD+ means more battery duration.

      I can't see why Xiaomi chose to call Redmi Note 12 Turbo as F5 when they could've rebranded it as Poco X5 GT and K60 Pro as the F5 Pro (like F2 series didn't have any vanilla smartphones, they could repeat it). At least it'd be more balanced.

    They are pretty expensive in EU for some reason. 449€ ($500) for F5 and 599€ ($670) for F5 Pro. Almost worth importing global versions from elsewhere I would say. Yeah there is inflation here (energy and food), but not of tech products in general.

    • @ShaferHart
      @ShaferHart 8 месяцев назад

      the people who sell you the tech products need to pay extra for food and energy. Everything gets hit by inflation when your leaders behave like lapdogs and self immolate by buying more expensive energy from the US instead of Russia because.. it's more profitable for the US? Anyways, inflation hits everyone and everything, tech products included.

    It always triggers me when they test Genshin impact as new player/user 🫠
    The game is smooth even on low end devices when the game is in early phase. It only gets to its maximum potential after progressing to other regions/maps and after we consecutively use characters with high animation Qs/bursts 🤧🤧🤧

    I use f4 and as a user I only note on the software, it does not have anything beautiful, but only on global versions, but if I use the China version, you will find many features and updates that arrive quickly.

    Poco f5 pro is not the only midrange with 8k video. Poco f2 pro can shoot at 8k@30 (even higher than the 24fps of f5)

    just for gaming, what do you recommend? F5 or F5 Pro? or do you have any other recommendation at their price point? I was hoping that at lower screen resolution, F5 would give more steady framerates. What do you think?
