Hey Guys, thanks for all the support! I hope you all enjoy the video as it took ages to put together. I also wanted to quickly mention a few things: 1. The new iPhone 16 Pro Max might have a larger screen & higher screen resolution, but it has the same 460ppi as the 15 Pro Max and its larger battery should help with the larger screen size. 2. All phones are sitting at 100% battery health, except the iPhone 15 Pro Max which is on 96% health. In my experience, a slight dip in health doesn't really affect SOT, what does affect it though is when the latest iOS releases on an old iPhone - In this case the iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18... Watch the video, but 4% battery health wouldn't drop SOT by 2 hours, iOS would. That said, I always test out the last gen iPhone a year later to see how long it lasts a year down the line! 3. The iPhone 15 Pro Max dropped by 7% after running Instagram and it overheated too. Other devices only dropped by 2-4% after IG. I'd be surprised, but this isn't the first time this has happened to the 15 Pro Max and IG as it happened before after an update. Seems like IG hasn't been optimised well with the 15 Pro Max running iOS 18 (yet). 4. The Huawei entered into emergency mode when it dropped to 1%, and when I hit exit the phone died. I checked off camera to see if it would turn back on and it wouldn't. In my last drain test it stayed on after I hit exit. Strange. 5. All phones are SIM free and running ONLY on Wi-Fi. The Samsung might show cell bars but all Samsungs do even when there is no SIM card installed. In case you were wondering why, its just to show the signal you have incase you need to make an emergency call. 6. In the past, many of you have said this and that about screen resolutions and said that because one phone is pushing more pixels than another it affects the battery life. Well, I have been doing battery drain tests for years now and have noticed the difference is extremely minimal (if any at all) and depending on the phone, sometimes I've seen greater battery life from a phone running at it's native QHD resolution instead of having it dropped down to FHD res. Just some food for thought. 7. As I already wrote under the community post, you need to check temps with some app like CPU Z that shows SoC temperatures, your method is not efficient since different phones have the motherboard placed in different places. Also hotter surface temp usually means better heat dissipation so yeah the IR Thermometer aint gonna cut it This will make the temperature test much more accurate
Apart from snapdragon, no other SoC vendor exposed CPU temperature Only battery temperature can be seen on every Android phone, but then surface temperature would make more sense

This just proves that optimization is really a big help, not just by having a bigger size of battery. We all know that the iPhone always has a smaller battery compared to samsung and other brands, but they can compete thru the help of optimization. Apple is really great when it comes to software optimization, and Im a Samsung fan. I wonder if Samsung can make their phones optimized to their highest capability to have a perfect phone that have a much bigger battery and optimized software, which will definitely last approx 15hrs for sure.
Great comparison. However, Huawei is not consistently outputting 120Hz (a known bug), you should fixate the refresh rate on all phones by turning on the Low-battery mode in your next test.

IPhone is the "King of optimization" because it keeps display frequency up to 80-90Hz in most scenarios. And only "stupid" Android smartphones try to offer the best smoothness with 120Hz.
The truth is, iPhones raise and lower the FPS so as not to waste the battery while the Androids maintain 120Hz when we do not manipulate it and it is a waste of battery

Thanks so much! The battery % you see as text on screen is connected to the time interval you see at the top corner. So if the time interval at the top right is at 30 min, those battery % are from the 30 min mark regardless of the timer phone on the right.
@@TechNick ohh, thank you! the bouncing ball animations made me think of all kinds of interpretations:)
Always love these battery drain tests. Loving my iPhone 16 Pro Max
Great Phone, enjoy🎉
Hey Technick , whenever i go to china, I will definitely meet you once!
11:53 Yep and this is why I've left my parents phones on iOS 17.7, they don't care about the iOS 18 new features they barely know how to use their phones, I don't seem the need to upgrade for iOS 18 for them. If my 16 Pro Max had the ability to go back, I would too.
Thanks for watching the whole video bud!
I’m using iOS 18.1 beta 7 right now on my 16 pro max and I’ve been able to hit 16 hours of screen on time on my phone. But I don’t really use it for gaming.
Dumb move considering with apple intelligence, you can ask the phone how to do stuff and it’ll tell you
@@StateGenesys apple intelligence ain't even here yet bro.
@@StateGenesys 🤣 yep clearly a dumb move when it’s not even out yet nor will it be for a while and ChatGPT already exists.
Feeling proud watching on my huawei p30
Your video is very informative for all❤
Please do x200 vivo comparisons soon!!
Excellent definately best battery drain comparison ever🎉
The last test was also marked as LPDDR5, and it is iPhone 16 LPDDR5X.
Love from nepal 🇳🇵
Best battery drain test channel❤😊
no one is talking about how the pixle has improved, before it would have died with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra
I did, in the video 😂👏
I mean finally reaching 9 hours after phones have been doing it for the last three years, there isn’t much to applaud about. More of a “about time”.
@@superiortoall22well they do also have a handicap, which is being forced to produce their chips with Samsung just like Huawei with older hardware. I do really hope the Pixel 10 will be a big upgrade as the G5 will finally be made by TSMC. But yeah eitherway, it's about time they reach 9 hours.
@@eulehund99they aren’t forced to use Exynos chips, they used it to lower costs but seeing as their phones are starting to cost as much as iPhones, not really any point in not using TSMC now and upping the prices once again.
Amazing battery 🔋 comparison video sir really you are doing very hard work keep it up 👍
Love from india

Huawei pura 70 ultra top de mais melhor câmera do mundo 😊
It's slow so it doesn't use as many resources that's why it's the most efficient, make it a higher clock speed it's battery gonna dwindle down very fast
Nick we getting nostalgia with the 66°c . I remember I seen that once in like 2020 or 2021. 😆Good old memories
Were you screen recording on the iPhone the whole time? I saw a message pop up right when it died.
If so, were you screen recording on all the other devices as well?
Nah just that last app, Spotify and screen record as you can see at the bottom right of the screen just before it dies. I follow the same procedure as I have with my last 30+ drain tests.
Simply awesome work. Magic 6 pro should be there
S25 is about to beat iPhone 16 pro max out of the water😂😂😂
The goto channel for battery drain test❤
Please can you add the Xperia 1 vi in another battery drain test against the others
Crazy! thanks for your efforts nick
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra Only Failed At Heats Up A Lot During Video Recording, Other Than Just Doing Daily Task Already Very Impressive Even A Phone Without Google Is More Battery Efficiency 🔋
After generations, we have seen a good improvement from the Pixel
As I already wrote under the community post, you need to check temps with some app like CPU Z that shows SoC temperatures, your method is not efficient since different phones have the motherboard placed in different places. Also hotter surface temp usually means better heat dissipation so yeah the IR Thermometer aint gonna cut it
This will make the temperature test much more accurate
Apart from snapdragon, no other SoC vendor exposed CPU temperature
Only battery temperature can be seen on every Android phone, but then surface temperature would make more sense
@@ashar8192 if that's the case he then needs to measure more spots and make an average
That 7 nm CPU from Huawei is amazing! ❤️
Can we see the iPhone 16 Pro Max and then iPhone 16 Plus go up against the Red Magic Pro 9s and ROG Phone 8 Pro and the Samsung S24 Ultra and the Vivo x100 Pro in a battery drain test, please #TN
I'd love to see that comparison
I'm proud of the Pixel 😅. iPhone has nailed optimization on their pro phones.
iPhone 16 pro max again beats s24 ultra 😂😂😂😂
Always…have both phones and there is no comparison, the iPhone is just so much better.
@robhughes8516 Yeah I switched to 16pm from s23 ultra, 16 pm is clearly better
I mean every other test the S24 beats the 16 pro in battery life but ok
Once the battery life of a Phone is above 9hrs of SOT that's already great battery
The 24 ultra beat the 15pm and then the 25 ultra will beat the 16pm it's a cycle that never ends.
Switched from 14pm to s24 ultra and can't see myself going back till apple really revamps their os
I am impressed by your battery comparison. ❤😮🎉
My next device gonna be Huawei for sure
Same ✨
This just proves that optimization is really a big help, not just by having a bigger size of battery.
We need honor magic6 pro here and the new vivo x200 pro 🙃
And the winner is timer phone
Xiaomi reaching 9 hours?? That's unreal! I had bad experiences with Xiaomi this year
Imagine that Huawei uses a 2 generation Tsmc 3nm kirin processor, America is afraid of it
China phone =back door phone
Great comparison. However, Huawei is not consistently outputting 120Hz (a known bug), you should fixate the refresh rate on all phones by turning on the Low-battery mode in your next test.
Samsung S24 Ultra coming third for 9 hours and 47 minutes is still impressive
😂😂 iphone 13 pro max from 2021 still beats it😂
@@Randomdude21-e keep dreaming
@@M16-bf4ku numbers dont lie:) 13pm beats s24u in batterlife
@@Randomdude21-e I guess s24U doesnt have 100% battery life..see arun's(MRWHOISTHEBOSS) battery test he tested all phone out of the box
Even the camera and sound quality of the 13 pro max is better than the s24 ultra. samsung trash
the Xiaomi 14t Pro with its price and this great result is rocking here, actually i love this devise a lot (20 min charge and it kick again for one full day)
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is the new 13 Pro Max 😅
absolutely
✅
Well done. Thanks for the content.
Mais pura 70 ultra e magnífico pronto
iPhone 16 PM being 1st shows that it's worth it among other expensive smartphones
Neither OnePlus 12 nor Nothing Phone 2, but why?
You can dislike Apple ALL you want . But it’s pretty impressive to see the iPhone 16 have a smaller battery than every single Android in this video , and took the win regardless. The 70 ultra has a bigger battery by almost 600 mah and iPhone still managed to pull through. And not just screen time but take a look at the temperature too! 66 degrees on the 14 ultra !? That is insane !!! The iPhone 16 managed to remain consistent with its temperature. The s24 ultra also has a bigger battery I was expecting it to do better :/ . But wow iPhone is definitely battery king in this video 🎉 .
Iphone really good!
Waiting for the mate 70😮
Iphone 15 pm is why i never update the software.
Why? I allways update the phone
@@Randomdude21-e i don't want 1.5h lower battery life for a newer update?
iPhone optimisation is mindblow

World best battery comparison chanel in the world its a fact that i phone batries video and performance are the best in the world but i dont know why people say iphone dont have good batery life thay have the best batery and also people buy old iphone like and they say they have low batries life its not the batrie its there low budjet ❤😂
where is honor magic 6 pro?
I knew pura 70 ultra specs are not that good, but the screen quality and colours looks majestic
15 pro max 1h and 30 min worse And S24 Cheated with dimming screen while recording.
It dims when it gets too hot
iphones dim almost all the time
Thanks to bring in the hauwei 🎉
The Huawei ain't even using Android and it's smoking them All
EMUI is still android at its core. The reason why it's doing better is because the chip is their own Kirin which is well optimised.
They are using Android 12 and performance is just awful, closer to 11PM from 2019. nowhere near any modern phone.
@@kbtriplesixthey don’t use emui anymore. It’s harmony OS now and it’s based off of Android but you can’t use Google apps on it.
@@seanlacroix they use Harmony OS in China, but globally they still use EMUI, the newest is 14.2. Even I with my P50 Pro have got it this summer.
@@reza5347poor performance? Did you use it?
IPhone is the "King of optimization" because it keeps display frequency up to 80-90Hz in most scenarios. And only "stupid" Android smartphones try to offer the best smoothness with 120Hz.
The truth is, iPhones raise and lower the FPS so as not to waste the battery while the Androids maintain 120Hz when we do not manipulate it and it is a waste of battery
