This video compares the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL to help viewers decide which phone is the best for them. The Pixel has the most comfortable design due to its narrow frame and rounded corners. The Samsung has the sharpest edges, making it the least comfortable to hold. * Display: The Samsung has the largest and brightest display, making it ideal for watching HDR content and using outdoors. The Pixel has the dimmest display. The iPhone has the thinnest bezels. * Camera: The iPhone has the most detailed camera, followed by the Pixel and then the Samsung. The Pixel has the best image processing and night mode. * AI: Google's AI features are the best, followed by Samsung and then Apple. Apple's AI is free, while Samsung and Google's AI are only free for a limited time. * Battery Life: The iPhone has the longest battery life, followed by the Samsung and Pixel, which have similar battery life. * Price: The iPhone starts at $1200, the Samsung starts at $1300, and the Pixel starts at $1100. Overall, each phone has its own strengths and weaknesses. The best phone for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences.
Best comparison video I've seen so far. Well rounded and objective. Its so hard to pick a premium smartphone as they are all so good. I think you did a great job in highlighting what each does the best.
I think you forgot to mention that the S24 Ultra also has reverse charging, along with its anti reflective screen and the ability to film video in 4k 120fps using the pro camera settings.
Resale value: 1. Iphone 2. Samsung. A VERY distant 3rd. Pixel. Selling your Pixel the moment after you buy it drops in price almost immediately. Only reason im hesitant about switching to the 9 Pro XL from the S24 Ultra.
2:47 did you even enable auto brightness on the Pixel ? It's by far the brightest of the bunch so this can't be right on GSMARENA tests the S24 Ultra could only reach 1500nits max in auto brightness (the best mode) while the Pixel reached like 2400nits and the iPhone 1800nits.
Currently, there are no significant updates or changes in the latest phone models, including the iPhone 16 and Samsung S24. While the Google phone may offer some improvements, both Samsung and Apple have not made substantial changes to their devices recently. Older generation phones continue to function adequately, and Apple's decision to restrict Ai features to the iPhone 16 and 15 series is noteworthy. However, the release of the iPhone 16 without the advertised software raises concerns about Apple's product strategy.
I bought a 16 pro max coming from a iPhone 8 Plus.. it’s AMAZING!! My only complaint is the island, that’s why I waited soo long to upgrade.. but I wouldn’t wait anymore. And this phone is SOO good! The battery is insane, I love the bigger screen, I’m soo excited for the 17 pro max. Hoping it will have a hole punch on the front or even a smaller island and I’ll upgrade again!
Until they fix all of the camera issues (shutter lag, terrible selfie and low light performance, weird skin tones...) on Samsung, you can't really compare these devices, man.
It doesn't really matter because everyone will choose based off of what company they rock with. For me, the phone that brings the most overall in terms of options, is the S24 Ultra. Best optimization and fluidity, 16 PM. Smoothest experience and software enhancements (AI), Pixel.
@@Joey4GreenMakes perfect sense to me. Before iPhone made larger phones, I personally witnessed iPhone cult mocking my larger phone until Apple came out of with larger iPhone. Then suddenly iPhone cult was OK with larger phone 😒

@@Joey4Green Don't hate Apple. I have iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Others in my home carry iPhones. Great phones obviously. But yes, people did make fun of the larger Android phones. Again, experienced personally.

Iphone 16 pro max is a hell of a phone. Coming from an s24 ultra user. All these phones are amazing. Right now i'm more than happy with my iphone 16 pro max it's just super smooth and fluid for anything you throw at it. And the camera/video and sound are just amazing.
3:05 best review video of them all, I've been yelling at the screen for 7 videos "who cares about brightness!?!" Thank you for talking about how low it goes
THANK YOU for comparing the minimum brightness of the displays! I was super curious how the screen of the iPhone compared with the 1 nit minimum brightness to other phones who don't have this minimum brightness in their specs.
I love the Pixel phone, but without a Google store in Australia, it’s not as convenient to handle any issues that arise, unlike with an Apple store. With Apple, you can simply book an appointment at the Genius Bar, go to the store, and about 95% of the time they’ll replace your iPhone or AirPods if there’s an issue-so convenient. I really hope Google opens a store here soon.
From a photographer´s perspective. Less noise does not equal a better picture. The iPhone is just more aggressive in it´s noise reduction. For my personal taste this results in a very digital looking image. I´d rather have a bit more noise looking more natural. Plus noise up to a certain level does trick your eye in more percepted detail. 😉
Even though the S24 was not a good update for the legendary S23, I'm surprised that it still keeps up nicely with the competetion. Pixel and iPhone are really expensive here, like iPhone is basically 50% more expensive than the S24U and and Pixel is priced somewhere in between them so obviously S24 is the best here but I'm impressed by the Pixel this year.
I'm using my phone mostly for browsing, messaging, soc-med activities, a lil bit for office-things, taking pictures (non-video), and other non-demanding digital activities; Here I opt for Pixel9Pro over the two others bcoz it's a pure Android phone that can do that all stuffs, has solid photography performance, and of course connect well with the Windows system (computing system I'm using). Plus, I love its back camera design. As simple as that. For a context, I'm a Pixel 3 user, and the phone still holds up well, besides the battery capacity.
Having the ability to shoot in 8K allows for far more detail capture in post. That's ine reason why everyone wanted 4K in the cameras nearly a decade ago because it allows for more raw data to work with.
I’m currently using an iPhone 14 pro max and wanting to go back to Samsung since i’m a galaxy user for years though got traumatized when my samsung phone had green line appeared on its screen for no reason.
Traded my s24 ultra for a 9 pro xl, worth it, the pixel has the premium feel I've always liked from the iPhones while having a definitely more snappy, refined and IMO better looking UI than the galaxy, the galaxy is definitely the better hardware and the most capable one, but for once I love having the simpler option.
I used the iphone 15 pro max for 8 months and my user experience was average so i changed to the s24 ultra , i was shocked on how good it was. The battery life was excellent than the 15 pro max , galaxy AI was superb , the gaming performance was excellent but similar to the 15 pro max , at the end of the day i would definitely choose the s24 ultra over the 15 pro max anyday

The videos/photos you do carefully took/recorded were shown so quickly that frankly, it did not make any difference having seen them or not.
I am thinking to switch from iphone to samsung phone but i have one concern the app optimization ,stability, bugs and the updates for the phone ? Is the one ui better now ?
That's not a smart move. You may get updates one month before others, two months after or you don't get them at all (as soon as next model is presented, updates ruin performance of "old" ones, browse forums). Apps just work better on Iphone. Yes, One UI is full of features, but fails at basic things, display turning on when notification comes or notifications being late. Not to speak about cameras. Once again, rethink it. (coming from someone who used Samsung flagships for 7 years straight)
Did you just leave the brightness settings on "auto" for all the phones? Because your conclusions are just flat out wrong. The Pixel has the brightest display at 3,000 peak nits, that is 50% higher than the iphone with 2,000 peak nits and even higher than the S24 Ultra's peak of 2,600 nits. Set all the displays to maximum brightness and the Pixel is the brightest. This isn't a matter of subjectivity.
@@ZONEofTECH As I said it isn't a matter of subjectivity. A nit is a unit of measure of luminosity. 3,000 nits is brighter/ more luminous than 2,000 or 2,600 nits. What you claim is like saying something that weighs 2 pounds is actually heavier than something that weighs 3 pounds. That isn't how units of measure work.
@@ZONEofTECHevery other review and measure of nits puts pixel 9 pro xl ahead by a large margin. I also have had all 3 and can verify in auto brightness pixel is the brightest. Manual brightness is different story. Definitely an issue with your device or user error in testing. The only case where it can be dimmer is if it was overheated and the other 2 were not. The large delta observed should've been the first sign of an issue...

Best comparison video I've seen so far. Well rounded and objective. Its so hard to pick a premium smartphone as they are all so good. I think you did a great job in highlighting what each does the best.
Thanks a ton! 😁
I think you forgot to mention that the S24 Ultra also has reverse charging, along with its anti reflective screen and the ability to film video in 4k 120fps using the pro camera settings.
He did mention the anti reflective screen
Resale value: 1. Iphone 2. Samsung. A VERY distant 3rd. Pixel. Selling your Pixel the moment after you buy it drops in price almost immediately. Only reason im hesitant about switching to the 9 Pro XL from the S24 Ultra.
Just ordered my S24 Ultra 512GB in Titanium Blue. Planning to use it for at least 3-5 years. After that i'll see what the future holds.
Next month S25 is out, you should wait...
Pixel 9 Pro XL!!! Dupa 15 ani de iPhone m-am cam saturat. 😁 Ceau ceau din Timisoara.
Please do your research if you're gonna do a comparison. The S24 Ultra has had 4K120 since launch by going into pro video mode.
I feel that Samsung's AI features are more advanced, but mainly compose of party tricks, while the Pixel has a lot of cool, useful features.
The answer is all 3 of them are great, its just personal preferences, no one can answer which one You want
Doesn't iPhones already have punch holes?
Pixel also has 4K 120 fps slo-mo, as the name of 'Pan'.
Until they fix all of the camera issues (shutter lag, terrible selfie and low light performance, weird skin tones...) on Samsung, you can't really compare these devices, man.
Awesome content keep it up as always bro
It doesn't really matter because everyone will choose based off of what company they rock with. For me, the phone that brings the most overall in terms of options, is the S24 Ultra. Best optimization and fluidity, 16 PM. Smoothest experience and software enhancements (AI), Pixel.
Pixel
That cut on the iphone is very ugly
If this was samsung or another phone having that, iphone users would react like it's a sin
This makes no sense lol if it’s on iPhone if another company did it what would iPhone users react with lmaoo
@@Joey4GreenMakes perfect sense to me. Before iPhone made larger phones, I personally witnessed iPhone cult mocking my larger phone until Apple came out of with larger iPhone. Then suddenly iPhone cult was OK with larger phone 😒
@@DLakerz No one mocked larger phones bro lol if you hate Apple just say it, people loved the galaxy note 2 even iPhone users, the bezels just made them a little unwieldy but everyone knew larger phones were on the rise, so much so Apple was being pressured, and in this case it’s a feature Apple has first so why would you mock it, once again just say you hate Apple lol
@@Joey4Green Don't hate Apple. I have iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Others in my home carry iPhones. Great phones obviously. But yes, people did make fun of the larger Android phones. Again, experienced personally.
That absolutely insane dimming on the S24 Ultra is crazy. That would be my vote but either phone is great. Great video as always.
Neither , s23 ultra better than every 3 imo . I can't tolerate grainy screen issue , restrictive software , and inconsistent processor of s24 u , ip 16 pm , p9p xl respectively . Would rather get s23 u for 60-70% of their price .
software update came out for the s24 and it now beats the s23 easily
who don't know that samsung is the best??
9:21 the s24 also has 4k120 in regular video, accessible in pro video mode
I knew where this video was going as soon as he started off talking about the lack of need for 8k video recording 😂. My brother in christ...you can take high quality screen shots from the 8k video
hearing "iphone is the most customizable" in 2024 is actually crazy
I main iPhone and I wouldn't even say that
Hypocrisy of Apple fanboys:
Great photo on Samsung/Android phones: Over-Editing
Great photo on iPhone: Software Optimization
16 pro max
the big black patch on iphone is still a bit annoying when viewing full screen (gaming, videos)😅
Watching from my Pixel 4a (4 years old) phone...😅
Iphone 16 pro max is a hell of a phone. Coming from an s24 ultra user. All these phones are amazing. Right now i'm more than happy with my iphone 16 pro max it's just super smooth and fluid for anything you throw at it. And the camera/video and sound are just amazing.
I just returned my iphone 16 pro max
why?
Smart move
What did you get in its place?
For video quality and OS general stability if you need the phone to be stable when you use it for work I don't think you can beat the iPhone.
@@DanielNistreaninteresting..thats what people say about the Pixel
Great content my Friend. Lmk what you've got for sale please? Peter
3:05 best review video of them all, I've been yelling at the screen for 7 videos "who cares about brightness!?!"
Thank you for talking about how low it goes
Do all the S24 ultra units have grainy screens?
I hope the next iPhone has rounding edges like my old 11 pro max. That phone felt so good in the hand.
THANK YOU for comparing the minimum brightness of the displays! I was super curious how the screen of the iPhone compared with the 1 nit minimum brightness to other phones who don't have this minimum brightness in their specs.
Samsung makes apples displays 😅
I love the Pixel phone, but without a Google store in Australia, it’s not as convenient to handle any issues that arise, unlike with an Apple store. With Apple, you can simply book an appointment at the Genius Bar, go to the store, and about 95% of the time they’ll replace your iPhone or AirPods if there’s an issue-so convenient. I really hope Google opens a store here soon.
How is the pixel the dimmest??? It has wat more nits than the other two!
S24ultra without a doubt
From a photographer´s perspective. Less noise does not equal a better picture. The iPhone is just more aggressive in it´s noise reduction. For my personal taste this results in a very digital looking image. I´d rather have a bit more noise looking more natural. Plus noise up to a certain level does trick your eye in more percepted detail. 😉
Just say you’re not a photographer 🤣
Ima buy the iPhone this time I think. Gonna be my first Iphone
AWESOME REVIEW . But you totally resemble Andrew Garfield!!!!
Ikr. I've been saying it forever but no one believed me.
All preference because I found the S24U more comfortable to hold because of the round edges
Great job, Daniel. Thanks.
11:15 not a good time bring bring up wallpaper apps rn 😂😂😂😂
S24 ultra
You should be casted in spiderman too. Looks very similar 😅
In (7:47) you can really see the details in the iphone 16 pro max camera while s24 ultra and pixel 9 pro xl are "blurry"
Having the ability to shoot in 8K allows for far more detail capture in post. That's ine reason why everyone wanted 4K in the cameras nearly a decade ago because it allows for more raw data to work with.
11:45 new iphone 16s had 8g of ram not 6.
16s??? U living under a 🪨
@@Chickn3000 they clearly meant 16's 🤦♂
Editing error. I didn’t realise this when checking it :(
lol
Love my 16 pro max!! The other two are beasts too!!
I’m currently using an iPhone 14 pro max and wanting to go back to Samsung since i’m a galaxy user for years though got traumatized when my samsung phone had green line appeared on its screen for no reason.
Traded my s24 ultra for a 9 pro xl, worth it, the pixel has the premium feel I've always liked from the iPhones while having a definitely more snappy, refined and IMO better looking UI than the galaxy, the galaxy is definitely the better hardware and the most capable one, but for once I love having the simpler option.
in the front camera comparison, did you toggle the option at the bottom on the iphone to crop out? it is usually zoomed in by default
SUGGESTION: next video comparing picture/video quality of different phones, please try not to rush when you show us the samples side by side.... Let us have a little bit of time to truly appreciate the photos/videos so we can also draw our comparisons.
I switched. Annoying how often I get updates on apps :)
Don't worry. All works like a sharm. Just need one week of adaptation
Whats "Noise" mean?
There is so little between high end phones these days it comes down to whether you like ios or Android or just like Apple over other brands.
You should do a battery test between these 3 phones it would be awesome
Did you just leave the brightness settings on "auto" for all the phones? Because your conclusions are just flat out wrong. The Pixel has the brightest display at 3,000 peak nits, that is 50% higher than the iphone with 2,000 peak nits and even higher than the S24 Ultra's peak of 2,600 nits. Set all the displays to maximum brightness and the Pixel is the brightest. This isn't a matter of subjectivity.
They were all on auto and maxed out. Like I said in the video, the numbers on paper do not reflect the reality.
Hi Dan
I tell you what, I’m glad I didn’t go for the iPhone this year, I changed my S24 Ultra for Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Do I like it? No, I absolutely LOVE IT! Best camera I’ve ever used! Battery marvellous, super fast, snappy, can’t fault it at all. Go Pixel for me all the way Dan. The S24 Ultra was the most uncomfortable phone to hold, dug in my hands!! Xx ❤😊
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is an amazing phone! Superb camera, lots of cool AI features and tons more software updates coming in the future! Good choice, Lynn! 😊
I have Pixel 9 Pro XL
Google software, google hardware, google apps and google AI. Perfect smartphone.❤💯
